Ross Hecox has been able to build a business that combines his two passions, writing and horses. You've probably read some of Ross's work in popular magazines like Western Horseman or maybe listened to his podcast Cowboy Life. KC Jones started out as just a farm kid but quickly got interested in horses and rodeoing. While his main event became steer wrestling he also roped. He rodeoed through college and after but never really saw himself as one of the guys at the top. After some big accomplishments he realized he could actually make the NFR and after he set his mind to it he did multiple times. A field trip to a cutting horse facility at an early age got him hooked on horses and he knew he had to figure out how to live that life. He was able to go work for different trainers during the summers and when it came time to pick a college he chose TCU because it was so close to Will Rogers coliseum and the cutting industry he was in love with. Melanie Smith didn't grow up around horses but now has one of the biggest brands in western equine sports.
