On the Sunday just before the release of this podcast, I ran a 10k running race. I have never liked running, or been very good at it, but I learned a lot through training for this race, and to my surprise I ended up actually quite enjoying it. The race went well - I got a PB by 2 mins and 48 seconds on my one previous 10k event - and it has now inspired me to sign up for my first ever duathlon. So much more to learn and improve on in training for that! What can we learn from a 23-year study of over 1400 women going through menopause? A recent research review covered this topic, focusing in particular on rates of fat gain and muscle loss during the menopause transition.
