Home is supposed to be your safe haven; your bed, the thing you crave coming back to at the end of a long day. Your parents, the people you'd take or fire a bullet for. Between the four walls of a home and around the people you love, exists most of your life. That was all true for 13 year old Aarushi. Little did she know, though, on the night of 15th May, in that very home, those very people were about to conspire to commit murder…her murder. And they were going to succeed, making sure she never saw the light of another day. This is the story of what really went down inside house L-32 in Sector 25, Noida on the night of 15th May 2008. This is the story of Aarushi Talwar. In this episode, Supreme Court Senior Advocate Vivek Sood discusses his upcoming book, Chaff & Grain: Guilt, Innocence and the Dilemmas of Justice, which focuses on the criminal justice system in India. This is his seventh book and is a subject close to his heart, as he has been a defense counsel for over three decades. On the morning of 16 May 2008, the body of 13-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found in her bed. She had suffered an injury to the head and her killer had slit her throat. At first, the family and police assumed that the murderer was the live-in domestic servant, seeing as he was nowhere to be found. But then they found his body on a rooftop terrace – he had been killed in exactly the same way as Aarushi. The double murder became one of India's most puzzling cases, making people wonder what really happened that dreadful night inside the Talwar's apartment. This case is known as 'India's JonBenet Ramsey' and you better believe this is one mystery that would've baffled Agatha Christie! In Noida, India, on May 16, 2008, four people living in a locked apartment go to bed. Only two wake up the next morning. The family's teenage daughter, Aarushi Talwar, is found brutally murdered. And the cook, Hemraj Banjade, is found soon after. The question is: Who did it? WATCH on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok @truecrimerecaps
Lost and Found - Talvar - Episode 68TalvarFilms based on or inspired by true events rely heavily on the filmmaker's approach and narrative style. After all, the makers are aware that they're only telling a story that has already been told. Stripped from the opportunity to embellish facts for cinematic flourish, factual accuracy often eclipses the need to draft a compelling watch that actually triggers debate and discussion. Considering these limitations, Meghna Gulzar's Talvar that's based on the sensational Aarushi Talwar murder case that made headlines across the nation is equally gripping and as it is a faithful adaptation of real events, even if it doesn't claim to be.The film revolves around the mysterious events surrounding the unsolved murder of a 13-year-old Noida girl and her 45-year-old domestic help. The case that shocked the nation had the deceased teenager's parents being held as the prime accused even when a clear motive couldn't be justifiably identified.Instead of focussing on the events that led up to the double murder, it picks up from the point when the case is transferred to central authorities once the local police unintentionally botch up the crime scene. We're introduced to the unbiased and perceptive lens adopted by investigator Ashwin Kumar (played by Irrfan Khan) in piecing together the facts and cobbling together the shreds of information, in an attempt to get to the bottom of the affair. But does he manage to crack the case? And did the young girl's parents actually murder her? And why? These questions may float around your head when you watch this one. And while the film does take a definitive stand, you may still be left with a few doubts even after the film wraps. The late Irrfan Khan is in top form here and laces his quirky investigator with fiery clapbacks that he lobs at his victims with a poker face. Konkona Sen Sharma, as the deceased's distraught mother, and Neeraj Kabi as the father are both equally effective and manage to closely capture their characters' state of mind. That the case was sub judice at the time of the film's release, meant it had to carry a disclaimer that suggested that this film was actually a fictional account. But significantly, Gulzar allows the audience a deep insight into the case and arms us with enough to arrive at our own conclusions. Be rest assured: This is not a whodunit with multiple suspects. It's also not a thriller that will keep you second-guessing throughout its runtime. But it's a tastefully-assembled compilation of events leading to a heinous crime that will test your ability to question, reason, and even rationalize. If you haven't watched the flick yet then do so by streaming on Disney + HotstarWell, that's the OTTplay Lost and Found for today, until the next episode it's your host Nikhil signing out.Aaj kya dekhoge OTTplay se poocho
Rajesh and Nupur entered the bedroom, and there they saw Aarushi's dead body on the bed, covered with a flannel blanket. The parents were shocked. Rajesh started screaming while Nupur stood motionless. By this time, Bharti had opened the outermost entrance with a firmer push and found that the middle door was only latched, not locked. She opened and walked in and saw Rajesh and Nupur crying, and the housemaid was taken aback by the sight of the dead daughter. Nupur pulled the blanket off Aarushi's body. Her throat was slit. Six guards patrol the complex. To get into the apartment, there's three locked doors - a gate, a metal grill and a wooden door. Once you're in, there's a lock on the bedroom door. It was May 2008. Who had made it into the apartment, and into 13-year-old Aarushi Talwar's bedroom? Who had bludgeoned her, then slit her throat? Silently, while her parents slept in the next bedroom? Fingers pointed at Hemraj Banjade, until another body was found... Website: https://abriefcasepodcast.com/ Instagram: @abriefcasepodcast

The tragic events of the night of May 15th, 2008, in Noida, India remain a mystery today. While there are many questions as to the events of that fateful night, only the results are truly known for certain: Aarushi Talwar, 13, was found murdered in her bed on the 16th, and a day later, the body of Hemraj Banjade, 45, was found partially decomposed on the home's terrace. The years since then have resulted in two distinct CBI (the Indian equivalent of the FBI) investigations, multiple dubious interrogations using “truth serum,” the controversial conviction of the parents of the slain girl, and finally, the high stakes acquittal of these same parents in the Allahabad High Court. This episode of The True Crime Files is a guest post written by Alice of the Of Myth and Mercy podcast.https://thetruecrimefiles.com/noida-double-murders/Thank you for listening!Don't forget, you can support this blog and podcast for as little as $2/month on Patreon: www.patreon.com/thetruecrimefiles

Bug'ün sizlerle, Hindistan'ın en çok konuşulan cinayetlerinden biri olan Aarushi Talwar ve ardından yaşananlar hakkında konuşacağız.
This episode discusses the case that rocked India, the 2008 double homicide of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Benjade.
The untainted, unbiased story of the murders of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade.
I would recommend you to see this episode till the last second to hear my opinion of what happened that night. Also in this episode you will listen the enquiry done by CBI and the mistakes by the system which led this case to remain unsolved.
The city of noida once again shook when a double murder struck the neighborhood. The case was a media circus and a battle between media and police. The circumstantial evidence pointed in one direction but the court to the other. Listen to the most chilling unsolved murder from India.
Namaste!
