His theatrical genesis includes 55+ plays and socially charged performances with Jana Natya Manch, establishing his unique stage presence. In cinema, Dibyendu gained recognition with Satya (1998), delivered breakthrough roles like Chunni in Dev.D (2009), and ad-libbed the iconic line “Keh ke loonga!” in Gangs of Wasseypur. Noteworthy roles span morally complex characters like Sub-Inspector Imtiaz (Ab Tak Chhappan) and Yeda Yakub (Black Friday), alongside supporting figures like sports journalist Debashish Banerjee (Goal). Beyond acting, Dibyendu practices Vipassana meditation, draws inspiration from Buddhist philosophy, and mentors talents like Parineeti Chopra. Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where today we're all about Irrfan Khan and PIKU (2015).  We wanted to leave our Other Khan series on a high note and who better to guide us to the top than Irrfan and Deepika Padukone? Directed by Shoojit Sircar, this is unarguably one of Padukone's best roles and she goes toe-to-toe with not just the powerhouse that is Irrfan but also Amitabh Bachchan.  But even if the movie belongs to Padukone, Irrfan is impossible to forget. He's a romantic lead with impeccable deadpan comedic timing. He's a star. He's the cherry on top.  It's almost impossible to find a mediocre or bad performance by this man, who seemingly  relished every single opportunity he got to be onscreen and his leaving has left a wound in not just Hindi or Indian cinema but world cinema.  RIP Irrfan. You were the best of the Khans.
