Aboleths and Algholthu are amphibious creatures who feel they are gods whose domains have been wrongfully stolen from them by those who they feel should be their slaves. They are extremely savvy fighters who remember eons of combats and use those lessons when the PCs show up to try to kill them. In this episode we talk about these huge aberrations and how to use them in your game. #dnd #5e #pf2e #aboleths #algholthu #aberrations Resources: D&D 2025 - Creative Commons - https://www.wargamer.com/dnd/edition-2024-sourcebooks-srd-creative-commons Riches and Liches - D&D Lore: Monster Lab - Aboleth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwHRDlgi5QI&t=298s The Monsters Know What They're Doing - Aboleths by Keith Amman - https://www.themonstersknow.com/aboleth-tactics/ The Lords of Madness - The Book of Aberrations

Aboleths are described in the Monster Manual as creatures that “lair in subterranean lakes or the rocky depths of the ocean, often surrounded by the ruins of an ancient, fallen aboleth city. Aboleth: large aberration, lawful evil... or is it? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/scrubmode/support
In this episode Tony tries to get the tin foil hat off George so he can convince her how wonderful their new Aboleth "pet" is. Honest, it's the pet, not us. We wouldn't lie to you, fellow human.Who needs rolled up newspapers when you have continent sized meteors and planetary self destruct buttons? Is Aboleth slime the biggest thing to hit the beauty industry since collagen? You really should take off that tin foil hat and move to a seaside community...What does the song "Underwater Love" by Smoke City have to do with this? What is a Veiled Master and why should we elect them immediately?
With the release of the adventure, Call of the Netherdeep, D&D has a few new aberrations to check out. Generally as a cohort of creatures, Aberrations probably don't get looked at as much as Dragons, Giants, Fey or Fiends. But there is plenty of interesting ideas for unusual settings, or strange and terrifying twists thanks to the alien nature of these creatures. Join us to unpack some Aboleths, Flumphs, Slaads and Star Spawns -- plus a few new creatures you've never heard of before. Welcome to Like Dragon Like Son, a podcast hosted by Jay and Jack Oatway where they discuss everything D&D, from character builds to personal experiences. Stay tuned for new episodes on Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts. If you love Like Dragon Like Son and want to help us out, you can support us by sharing this podcast with your friends. It's the support of listeners like you which motivate us to put out more episodes, so thank you!
News accrual with the death rock duo! Aboleths meets Abbey Death on Space Couch!
Aboleths… ancient deep-sea aberrations. Although Aboleths look like dumb fish, they know more about you than you probably know yourself. In this episode we'll dive where light is inexistent and swim the ocean's depths. We'll find an Aboleth hunting with bitter cruelty and learn the vast knowledge that lies within its racial memory. If you're a DM and want to mercilessly enslave your players, then take a seat by the fire and prepare to be immersed in Aboleth Lore. Your players will never trust murky water again. Happy listening!

Aboleths are basically great big psychic lamprey eels lurking in the aquatic ruins of their former civilization and plotting on how to take vengeance on the dumb land dwellers. So, how should you run them in your adventures? And what are you supposed to do when your DM decides to throw you into the deep end with them? Don't breathe the slime and stay out of the pool as we go through everything you need to know. #5eaboleth #aboleth #aboleth5e #dnd #dandd #dnd5e #dungeonsanddragons Check out our Metal RPG Dice here: https://www.skullsplitterdice.com/collections/metal-rpg-dice-setsSubscribe to SkullSplitter Dice Podcast on Soundwise

Crystal Lake's history of enslavement doesn't deter counselors from setting up a summer camp in the woodsy area. Superstitious locals warn against it, but the fresh-faced young people -- Jack (Kevin Bacon), Alice (Adrienne King), Bill (Harry Crosby), Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) and Ned (Mark Nelson) -- pay little heed to the old-timers. Then they find themselves enslaved by a brutal monster. As they're enslaved, enslaved and enslaved, the counselors struggle to stay not enslaved against a merciless opponent.
