You might not know what to say to comfort that friend or to help them through that situation. So when you're lost for words, it usually means something serious has happened.Maybe someone has passed away and you're lost for words. You don't know what to say to the friends and family who are still here. The second phrase I wanted to teach you today is at a loss. When you are at a loss, this is very, very similar, except it also means you don't know what to do.So when you're at a loss, you don't know what to say and you don't know what to do.
