    Ivy Insights

The Tacos and Tech Podcast is an absolute gem that offers listeners a unique insight into the vibrant San Diego culture and industry. From the moment I tuned in, I was blown away by host Neal Bloom's deep knowledge and understanding of the local startup scene. His ability to connect with guests and dive deep into their experiences truly sets this podcast apart.

One of the best aspects of The Tacos and Tech Podcast is its exceptional lineup of guests. Neal brings on a diverse range of individuals from various industries within San Diego's tech scene, providing listeners with a well-rounded perspective on the city's innovation ecosystem. Whether it's founders, investors, or industry experts, each guest brings their own unique story and insights to the table.

Furthermore, the depth of conversations in this podcast is outstanding. Neal doesn't shy away from asking tough questions or digging into intricate details about a startup's journey. This level of authenticity and curiosity allows for meaningful discussions that go beyond surface-level topics. As someone looking to learn more about startups in San Diego, this podcast has been an invaluable resource for me.

However, like any podcast, there are some aspects that could be improved upon. While Neal does a fantastic job as a host overall, there were moments where I felt some episodes lacked structure or flow. At times, transitions between questions or topics seemed abrupt or disjointed, making it slightly challenging to fully follow along with the conversation. However, these instances were rare and did not detract significantly from the overall listening experience.

In conclusion, The Tacos and Tech Podcast is an incredible resource for anyone interested in diving deep into San Diego's tech scene. Neal Bloom's commitment to showcasing the best startups in the area through engaging conversations makes this podcast a must-listen for anyone involved in or curious about the startup world. With its insightful guests and opportunity to learn about cutting-edge innovations happening right here in San Diego County, I can't recommend this podcast enough.

From Eric's early days working on defense sensors and his journey through Google and Tesla, to building one of the most powerful MEMS-based micro-machines on the market, this conversation explores why physical AI is finally having its moment - and what it takes to solve real-world reliability problems at scale.Eric breaks down why LiDAR has struggled to reach mass adoption, how Omnitron rethought the problem from first principles, and why the same core technology is now attracting attention from trillion-dollar hyperscalers looking to radically reduce data center power consumption.
