Disgraced medical examiner of Rhode Island, who left the office amidst a hail storm of criticism, testified for Karen Read in her murder trial today. Karen Read is on trial for hitting her police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe and leaving him to die alone in a blizzard. Dr. Laposata testified that John O'Keefe was not hit by a car and died within 15 minutes of blunt trauma. Dr. Laposata also refuted criticism of how she handled the Station nightclub fire where a hundred people died claiming the criticism was all “erroneous stuff”. Let's talk about it.Get access to exclusive content & support the podcast by becoming a Patron today! https://patreon.com/robertaglasstruecrimereportThrow a tip in the tip jar! https://buymeacoffee.com/robertaglassSupport Roberta by sending a donation via Venmo. https://venmo.com/robertaglassBecome a channnel member for custom Emojis, first looks and exclusive streams here: https://youtube.com/@robertaglass/joinThank you Patrons!Deborah Shults, Debra Ratliff, Stephanie Lamberson, Maryellen Sudol, Mona, Karen Pacini, Jen Buell, Marie Horton, ER, Rosie Grace, B. This past weekend, many of us reflected upon Good Friday and celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important message that anyone will ever hear. But what happens when the message of the gospel is misconstrued or even absent? What happens when people are encouraged to become part of a group in an altar call in hopes of entire family salvations rather than preaching the gospel to a congregation? Join me as we look at a recent teaching concerning Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, and I make a plea to those attending V1 Church. I go too fast. I have ADHD. I have two toddlers. Two arms to both of my brands and I am guilty of thinking FASTER will get me there FASTER. Erroneous on all counts. Over the past few weeks, I have heard a call to slow down. Like - to actually - once and for all - slow the f down. The wisest part of me whispers, "Don't miss it". I have come to accept, true devotion means slowing down enough to enjoy your life. To enjoy the process, so that when "there" arrives, I am present and rested for it. I trust this message finds you at the exact time you need it to. Happy Listening. LYMI. Uisce Éireann is being accused of working off "erroneous information" as it looks to build a sewage treatment plant near a popular West Clare tourist attraction. With the decision date looming for the water utility's application to construct a four-hectare development in the vicinity of Kilkee Cliff Walk, locals have launched a petition expressing opposition to the plans. Named Ireland's "best-rated tourist destination" this summer with over 90% of its Trip Advisor reviews deeming it "excellent", Kilkee Cliff Walk has long been one of the county's most adored outdoor attractions. With plans for a major infrastructural development just 100 metres from the four-kilometre trail having come to light, however, there are fears among some people locally that its natural beauty and appeal are in jeopardy. On January 3rd, Uisce Éireann applied for planning permission for a 4.56 hectare development consisting of a new wastewater treatment plant, a foul pumping station and the installation of new sewers in the townlands of Kilkee Lower and Foohagh, Kilkee. Since the application went public, almost 100 public submissions have been put in by concerned residents and local representativies who have various qualms with the project. In the last week, local man Martin Busher has launched a petition on change.org entitled "Save Kilkee Cliff Walk". He believes the plans are being progressed without adequate consultation within the community. Since going live last Tuesday, the petition, which claims the walk will be "destroyed" if the facility is built, has garnered over 850 signatures. Uisce Éireann's planning application claims the wastewater treatment plant would serve a population of 7,900. Architect and former town councillor on Kilkee Town Council, Tom Byrne, meanwhile, insists this is "ludicrous" as it doesn't factor in the high volume of tourists typically in the area who'll put additional pressure on capacity.
Following the book launch in August 2023 of Ramana Maharshi's Forty Verses on What Is, a compilation of the writings and talks of Michael James on Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu, Michael and Sandra have started a series of talks in which Michael explains the essential import of these verses and all of Ramana's teachings in 8 key points -- 8 talks (videos). This is the fourth talk with the fourth point: since ego is an erroneous awareness of ourself, it can be eradicated only by correct awareness of ourself, which means awareness of ourself as we actually are. After explaining this point, Michael answers questions related to Ramana's teachings. Enforcement actions regarding Employee Retention Credit (“ERC”) claims are on the uptick. An important question is how long the IRS and the Department of Justice have to carry out their missions. The normal rules on timing are straightforward, but things get complicated when one considers exceptions, special rules for particular quarters, potential changes contemplated by Congress, and a novel decision by a Court of Appeals that has received little attention. This article, the latest in a long series on ERC issues, explores the key timing issues, old and new, in the context of ERC disputes.
It is possible for our moral conscience to remain in ignorance for a variety of reasons. Fr. Mike delves into the sources of errors of judgment in moral conduct and how habitual sin blinds our conscience. As we wrap up this article, Fr. Mike reminds us that a well-formed conscience sets us free and gives us the power to do what we ought. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 1790-1802. For club-level chess players and adult improvers, an argument can be made that amateur games are significantly more instructive than Grandmaster games. Amateur games feature themes, ideas, mistakes, and erroneous thought processes that are highly instructive, while the ideas in Grandmaster games are often esoteric and difficult to process. Simply put, amateur games are ripe with instructional value. This week's episode is a review of The World's Most Instructive Amateur Game Book (Amazon) by NM Dan Heisman. It is a collection of 30 deeply annotated amateur games. The written prose and explanations are outstanding. We cover the following and much more: Poor time management Erroneous thought processes The dangers of prioritizing strategy over safety Castling errors Why discovery and removal-of-the-guard tactics are often missed The "hand waving" error Poor defensive choices

Genetic genealogy provided a suspect's name from a cold case double homicide, and a latent palm print was left on the victim's van. Angela walks us through her initial erroneous exclusion, the subsequent identification, court testimony, and the resulting press coverage.
