The driving force behind this amazing collection of tools is Lynn Neville, a content and marketing strategist who helps coaches and mentors increase their online visibility and engagement with eye-catching and compelling media content. The Bundle this year comes in a couple of sizes. The Standard Bundle includes over 100 tools and offers, and get this, it's free! But in addition to the free standard bundle, there is an additional Premium Bundle with thousands of dollars worth of offers for the low price of $75. The only catch? You need to join the Bundle and download the offers you want between June 13 and 24. Some of my favorite people are contributing offers to this event. Andrea Hubbert is an exceptional content creator who will be offering a storytelling course. Jess Kotzer from Self Pub Hub will be offering some amazing collaboration tools and membership in her brand new Collab Buddy School. She's brilliant and is the one I thank for referring me to the Bundle. Finally, my friend Alison Proffit will be showing up with a special gift to be announced at launch. These are less than one percent of what will be available. Crazy value! My Contributions? I've got a brand new course in the Standard Bundle called Elevator Pitches That Don't Suck. If you wonder why you leave the networking meeting without any leads, this course will help you say the right thing to the right people at the right time so that they won't let you leave the meeting without having a conversation with you. For the Premium Bundle, I've put together another brand new offer, a workshop for people who struggle to identify their ideal clients and customers called Clients Everywhere! This is especially for people who are only just starting in business and they don't have a clear idea of who their business is for. You've got great product and service ideas, but you draw a complete blank when you start to think about where to find your clients. This workshop will help you recognize clients everywhere you turn. Workshop dates will be announced to Bundle Participants first, so go ahead and register for the Bundle now! #boostyourbusiness #bundle #digitalbusiness

In this podcast episode, I have a chat with my regular expert Alison Proffit about how to follow up after events so that you can create connections to other people. You may know that the point of hosting or going to an event is to meet people so you can get clients, but do you know what makes a good follow-up? Alison shares some practical ways to plan for and execute on developing better relationships after events. One of her favorite tips is to make sure you "don't give people homework!" Take bold action and get connected immediately. Alison's thoughts are "if you're at an event of some sort, like take the action right away. So it might be if it's an in-person event, hey, you know, I have my phone here, like, dude, what's your cell phone number, right? Or like, let's just put it on the calendar." Networking only works if you actually get connected so there's no better time than at the moment! Are you looking for a coach to help you move your business forward in a soulful, heart-centered way? Receiving money from your clients is one of the most exhilarating experiences as a solopreneur. You have worked hard to get to this point with marketing, sales conversation, and overcoming your own fears. Why then is the money part weird for so many entrepreneurs? In this episode I sit down and chat with Alison Proffit, the owner of Proffit Coach, about how to move from weird to wonderful while taking money. During our conversation she gave some great insights. Alison's tip, "a lot of businesses will do invoices, and that's fine, you can totally do that. But I think if you're able to take it from like that part of the process is just about the money exchange of money, but it's the exchange of money. And then we're actually scheduling the next step. It's like, include, it's like, in the middle of the before we put our next meeting on the calendar, this is the thing that happens. So I encourage people to literally just say, so this is the this is how my process works." When you move from passively receiving income via invoices to actively asking and handling the money, you gain an opportunity to connect with your new client even before the work begins. In this episode, I chat with Alison Proffit of Proffit Coach about the benefits of selling your services even if you aren't 100% done with their creation. Pre-selling your services gives you the opportunity to get some cash flowing into your pockets, but there are many more benefits than just cash. Alison explains that when you're in a sales conversation it's not about explaining all the little details it's about selling the transformative experience. She says"obviously, we as the service provider, we might get hung up on that. Well, I don't know all of the how yet. And it's like, but you're not selling them on all the how they care about what's the transformation. And so you already know what the transformation is, without all the mechanical details of how you're going to package it. It's really thinking about, like, you're not changing what you're doing, you're just changing how you're packaging it." When you are creating new groups or packages for your business, remember the 80/20 rule. When you're 80% of the way done go sell to 20% of the people you want to get into the class! In this episode, I chat with Alison Proffit a sales and life coach about how to ask powerful questions during your sales conversations. Alison shares a few tips and tricks about what questions to use, how to use them, and when to know you've asked enough to close the sale. Her advice is, "Our nerves are what causes us to be talking and talking and trying to fill in the gap or like over informing or giving too many details. That's your nerves. So app, say tell me more and then just take a breath. And we've talked about the power of breath in your sales conversations, right? I mean, sales is, it seems like the super scary and complex thing, but at the core of it, it's pretty simple. It's it's being in the moment, being curious and allowing that person to share more about what's going on and then you're listening and if you're talking you can't be listening." Every entrepreneur knows the feeling of shame that comes when things aren't going exactly the way you intend. Sales coach, Alison Proffit, has this to say about how to shift away from shame so you can move forward and make sales, "I think when you're in these moments where you're having, let's say, you're in 10, great sales conversations, and it's just not the right time, or you feel like you fell all over your words, or whatever the situation is that that's creating this feeling of shame. Pause. And and the practice, I think that's really helpful is whether it's you have another human being with a mentor or business bestie that you have, or you have a journaling, practice, whatever that like that, that space you go to do some processing can be really, really powerful to ask yourself some questions along the lines of what went really well, right?" Asking yourself questions is the best way to get your head trash out to the dumpster. Are you struggling with your own shame cycle in sales? When we say events, you don't need to get scared about oh my gosh, like, I don't know how to run an event, an event, could you and one or even two other people around a certain topic that's scheduled and you marketed it, and they showed up." So I lean in a little, but I'll try to, I'll try to say, um, I, as you've heard me say before, selling is all about connection...when you're a small business owner, it's important to make sure that there's alignment with you and the people you're working with. When you start with what you're passionate about the decision process becomes easy and natural. Alison Proffit, a soulful sales coach, shares her thoughts on why starting with what you love is the easiest way to get to a sellable product or service. Her advice, "I think sometimes people go into it, like in reverse. But I like to start with like, well, what are you selling? And then we can almost reverse engineer like, cool. So what's the best way to market that and get it out there in the world in a way you love doing it?" Get out of your head and into your heart when developing your sales path. When You Listen, You'll Hear the Sale Before It Even Happens Selling is more about them than it is for you. Yes, that's right, you really have nothing to do with the sale because you're there to help and offer not hound and pound. Alison Proffit offers her thoughts about how listening moves you into more sales conversations. She says,...thinking about when you're doing that [listening], you're not peppering the questions. It's, it's conversational. In a conversation. You're, they say, great conversation and a great communicators aren't just sitting there waiting to like, ask for their next question. Like knowing what the next question is. It is literally waiting till the person speaks to them formulate the next question. Not going down your list curiosity. It's it's staying in that curious space." The old adage of listening twice as much as you talk is a wonderful way to just get out of your way. Simply listen and the sale will present itself or not, you never have to force the outcome. Ready to hone in on your listening skills? Connect with Alison
Business and Sales Don't Have to Wait Until You're Perfect It's easy to think you have to have everything perfect before you go make sales. Well, our sales expert Alison Proffit disagrees. In this chat she shares how showing up messy and imperfect will lead to more sales. Why is that? Alison muses, "I think that it is more connecting for you to just be real to like, share the things that you've struggled with, share your mess share where the mess used to be, and how you got out of it, share where your mess is right now. Because I think it makes you human. And we want to buy from people we connect with, we want to buy from people that we can like maybe see some of ourselves in..." No matter what your life will show up in your sales Even the most professional human has stuff that takes them out of the game. Alison Proffit, as a sales expert, shares her thoughts on how to integrate your life and business. She shares," So dealing with conflict and helping guide people through working, when things are not going well in the rest of their life is something that I had to do for a long time. And I think that we I still do it with my clients. And it's important to not ignore it. Like if you have things going on in your life, you have to pause and address it. Business is Not About Business All the Time You didn't start a business so you can work and be grumpy all the time. In this conversation between Alison Proffit and Flow CEO Megan Anderson, Alison opens up about why play is key to success. She shares, "Don't look at your goal. And then think to yourself, oh, if I don't sit here and work, I'm not going to hit that goal. Um, because there is some truth to that you do have to be taking intentional aligned action, but that action needs to be inspired. And so if you go and live your life and add some play into it, and play doesn't need need to be, go spend lots of money on a vacation, a play could be put on some music and dance around your office, go for a walk, go for a bike ride..." Offer Clarity Not Confusion When it comes to deciding what to offer your clients, the sky is the limit. This is not necessarily a good thing because limitless offers may be hurting business. Alison Proffit, our sales strategy expert, hits the nail on the head this week. She shares with us that it's easy to think your offerings should be vast, but really simple is the better way to go. Alison muses, "we want to make sure that we're giving the client opportunities to work with us in a way that works best for them. And what, what I've seen happen is that people will have too many offers. And what happens then is, when you're in the sales conversation, then you're having so many different things to think through in terms of what is the right thing to offer that person." Looking at what you're offering and making sure it's from a place that you value will bring more value to your customers. Are you overloading your offer plate? Need help simplifying your offers? Marketing and selling can both be intimidating activities to new business owners, but they are the lifeblood of your business. Alison Proffit is a Soulful Sales & Profitability Success Coach, helping small businesses approach their sales and pricing strategies from the heart instead of just the head. She'll work with you on mindset, clarifying offers, up-leveling prices, and how to confidently sell through the art of connection with the support of customized scripting work and role-playing sales conversations. Selling becomes less stressful and abundantly more fun when working with Proffit Coach! Alison attempted to start her own coaching business 4 times. The key word there was "attempted". Each of these attempts failed. Primarily because of a lack of knowledge of what it meant to be a good salesperson. Having worked in the HR field for 15 years and receiving coaching certification, the business ideas were good ones, and the services that she offered created good results for the few clients she closed. It was merely, the lack of consistent sales meant the business did not succeed and the focus had to be turned back to a corporate job to pay the bills. That is until a company saw potential in Alison's ability to sell. She was offered an inside sales job selling digital marketing tools and services to small businesses. They saw the potential that she did not even fully recognize in herself. They provided amazing training and insight on how to sell effectively. Alison quickly rose to become a top sales performer and learned more about small businesses: what makes them tick, succeed, and thrive. Alison fully understands how businesses function, what contributes to organizational success and how to help you tap into your fullest potential. With years spent in training and development in the corporate world and being a small business owner herself, you will be in good hands with the Proffit Coach! Cancellations are frustrating, but do they have to be? Alison Proffit, our sales expert, chats with us about her thoughts around a very important business question... ...What do you do when you have a sales call or follow-up call cancel at the last minute? Giving her sage-like advice as always, Alison's first suggestion is...Don't Panic! Panicking is the fastest way to have a downward spiral in your head which leads to all kinds of interesting, and not so desired, results. It's so easy for your inner mean-person committee to start making up wild accusations about why the call canceled. To change that voice in your head her final parting words for us about silencing your inner critic, Alison provides this gentle reminder " if you do see a cancellation come across your inbox is. Take a breath. Just take a breath, and don't make up stories about what it might mean." Want to get more from your sales calls? Connect with Alison
When it comes to success in business, nothing is more important than being able to close a sale. But what if you feel uncomfortable, or just don't like selling? Alison Proffit, the resident soulful sales expert, chatted about one of her favorite tools when it comes to selling; breathing! Yep, that's right good old and out deep breathing. While musing on this topic Alison had this to say, "One of the most powerful tools in your sales, your sales toolbox is breathing. Because if you're slowing down and breathing, you are actually giving that person time to speak, be giving yourself time to calm your nervous system down. [when] You are present in the moment, and when you are present in that moment, you're creating space for that prospect to also be present at the moment and not feel like you're rushing them to make a decision." Since no business can exist without sales, calming down to make a sale makes a whole lot of sense. Alison provides a great reminder that breathing is essential to being present and when you are present with your client you can be present to close the sale! Three Skills to Help You Overcome Objections Being in sales, there needs to be a level of optimism but objections are also part of the process. How do you handle objections? Alison started her career in the human resources field before she jumped into entrepreneurship. She tried building her own business four times but failed each time. It was her fifth try in 2019 that she became a success. Skills to overcome objections Alison has 3 C's to guide her in being successful in sales: Clarity, confidence, and connection. Clarity starts with customer discovery. It's in this stage that prospects are able to share their needs and sales reps are able to define how they can be part of the solution. Objections often fall under three categories - budget, time, and necessity. Prospects either don't have resources to proceed, don't have the time to engage, or they have no need for the product or service. When you're clear where their objections fall, you'll have a better understanding about how to overcome these obstacles. Clarity is also about building rapport. Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto's book Hidden Messages in Water talked about how spoken words can impact water molecules. In a video, he shows how the shape of these water molecules can reflect negative and positive speech that's been spoken over these samples. In the same way, well-spoken words can also make a positive impact. Confidence is also tied to clarity. Words can make or break a person's esteem and interest. Use positive words and fuel optimism. The connection is important in overcoming the objection. Connection is about letting a prospect know that you are listening and want to help them with their problem. Connecting comes from asking deeper questions. Clarity, confidence, and connection are skills that can start with the sales call. “Three Skills to Help You Overcome Objections” episode resources Connect with Alison Proffit via LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
