All July is movies at war, a theme we're calling “GLORY & PROPAGANDA”. War films are movie genre that draws another specific sub-class of film that can also cross over with westerns. We're talking about what we like to call “DAD BONER MOVIES”. I guess you could say “Dad Flicks” if you don't want to be crude but what's the fun in that? Think about your dad for a moment. Think about the movies he likes. The books and shows he like. Now picture your dad with a boner. It's a lot easier than you think, isn't it? Peter Weir's adaptation of Patrick O'Brian's Napoleonic War era nautical stories seemed to come and go rather quietly. With Russell Crowe at the lead it made a few bucks but didn't inspire any sequels. “MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD” nevertheless found critical acclaim and a particular appreciation for the movie developing in hindsight from all the dads and their boners. They love this shit. Perhaps one of the all timer, underrated, more modern Dad Boner films and also kinda gay with Crowe and Paul Bettany looking absolutely wifed. That's just that high seas shit. Peace and love to all the gay dad boners out there. Oh, shit! We found a link to the movie but I bet it gets taken down quick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5syct99MvVw Subscribe to us on YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuJf3lkRI-BLUTsLI_ehOsg Contact us here: MOVIEHUMPERS@gmail.com Check our past & current film ratings here: https://moviehumpers.wordpress.com Hear us on podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6o6PSNJFGXJeENgqtPY4h7 Our OG podcast “Documenteers”: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/documenteers-the-documentary-podcast/id1321652249 Soundcloud feed: https://soundcloud.com/documenteers Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/culturewrought

All July is dedicated to my ancestor, Great Great Ma Ella Ellis. She was born July 4, 1885. This 30-day communion honors her. Our Morning Five are part of what I call CARE Rituals. They are punctuation marks and without them, each day is like a run-on sentence. There is a better way for you to engage the day—your rituals, personally + collectively. 1) H2O Cocktail —Revitalize and re-hydrate first thing each day (yes, before matcha or coffee). Put together 8oz of filtered water with ¼ fresh lemon and ¼-½ tsp of sea salt. 2) Light—Done hydrating? Splendid, head outside! Just like plants, we have a distinct need for sunshine, water alone won't keep our leaves green + vibrant. Sunshine is not only responsible for Vitamin D synthesis (every cell in the body is partly regulated by it), but it's also the key agent in our circadian rhythm. 3) Movement—It's important to have a movement practice that goes beyond hustling out the door or doing all the things around the house. Try setting aside at least 3 minutes for simple stretching, yoga, jumping-jacks, weight training, etc… Whatever you choose, you're allowing the body to calibrate ahead of your daily duties, and encouraging healthier stress-response. Oh, and sex is good also. 4) Meditation — Just 5 minutes — the nurture of the quieting-of-mind in Scripture or the elongated sitting with oneself, and the Spirit (Ruach) for 5 minutes can be hospitable to a naturally-calmer morning mind. 5) Gratitude—The practice of daily gratitude is arguably strongest in the morning and it amplifies what's already there. Hello beautiful Stars, this is my revelation. As I am sitting outside, enjoying Natures company, I find myself exploring solutional thoughts. Exploring, without judgment, always gets my mind pumping with energetic release. All July, my focus has been recovering my childhood emotions, so that my triggers, are no longer keeping me behind. Well as I was thinking, I thought about how glad I am that I am able to connect with my grandmothers. 1 that I have only met once and the other I somewhat disliked tremendously. Once upon of time I would have told you I hated her. I was thinking about how glad I am that now I can move on loving them, connecting with them. I was amazed to remember that I can always connect with my uncle. Who is such positive energy. :) The exciting thought of never being alone. spiritually I, and you are supported by thousands. THOUSANDS!!! that inwardly made me tingle inside with glee so I had to share. This is raw and unexpected emotions. But it had to happen. Enjoy and Thank you for listening. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/lequitta-randolph/support
