Well, well, well. Here we have it. Lucky thirteen.In this bonanza episode, Beth and Stef start this absolute BEEFSTEAK of a chapter. We manage the first ten pages, you guys. TEN. Come hear the juice! We have it all. The second half of this chapter is a doozy. In more bizarre twists and turns for this historical tome, we jump around Westeros, catching up with Rhaena and her court on Fair Isle for a bit. Not before jumping to Kings Landing for some sexy taxation talk (don't say we never give you treats), then a quick dip into Dorne, a sojourn in The North at The Wall to look at some naughty Nights Watchmen before settling back in The South at Dragonstone where we see if plans to scupper the marriage of Jaehaerys and Alysanne work out, and finally in Kings Landing where Rogar Baratheon casts the die for his downfall. That's right, there is treason afoot. The Maesters get bitchy. The Lannisters get greedy. Stef's mic is annoying. Her doorbell rings as well. Beth's chair wants to be the third on our podcast. And a fly gets frisky in Stef's office. It all happens on Episode 11!

But this one is as secret as the first, and arguably more significant than the second. Listen to this to hear Stef and Beth discuss Targaryen incest, why having chins, teats and sense is apparently important in a bride (according to Lord Rogar Baratheon), and just what takes place when someone tries to tell Alysanne and Jaehaerys Targaryen who they are supposed to or not supposed to marry. On this episode of 'Keeping Up With the Targaryens' we cover Jaherys and Alysanne's lives as parents and their children. So much tragedy happens here that it felt like a season of Degrassi, except one of them doesn't get crippled and become a famous rapper.

In Episode 94 we get into some good old-fashioned family values...well, Targaryen Family Values. They are a little different.  Highlights Include:  drunken midnight rides through the city, kissing clubs, uncles that are younger than their nephews, ostracization, forced marriage.  Also in this episode is more deaths, especially in the birthing bed, but more births also...uh...from the birthing bed.  And as it does for us all, death comes for Alysanne and Jaehaerys. The boys forge ahead through Fire and Blood in Episode 093:  Good Queen Alysanne.  In this episode Jaehaerys and Alysanne face tragedy as the Shivers bear down on Westeros.  They also make a progress up north where the winter’s cold and Alaric’s hospitality is the same.  Also, Alysanne flexes on her husband to end a sacred right to the Lords of Westeros, while Jaehaerys uses some windfalls of capital to improve infrastructure for his Kingdom. In this episode we wanted to mention that we had a few audio issues in our recording.  In truth Matt was a hero in salvaging some spots.  We regret this departure from our normal level of quality and thank the Khalasar for their understanding. This is our second to last episode of Fire and Blood as our bizarre journey through that tome winds to an end.
