Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Surprise, we're all charmed by Lyonel's “come home with me” pillow talk, but we're split on his anti-Targ agenda. Do Maekar and Dunk have a trauma bond? Bring on the additions if they're like this Egg contemplating murdering Aerion scene—we're leaning into it like Egg leaning into Maekar. Like Dunk, we're all a little melancholy as we say goodbye to Ser Arlan, but at least Sweetfoot gets a happy ending in her apple orchard. AKotSK. A Song of Ice and Fire. “In the name of The Warrior - I charge you to be brave. In the name of The Father - I charge you to be just. In the name of The Mother - I charge you to protect the young and innocent. Arise Friday Nighters - Knights of our Podcast Kingdom!” If you're like us you've wanted to be knighted since we saw Brienne of Tarth get knighted in the final season of GoT proper. And just when we thought we might have a bit of GoT fatigue along comes a HUGE refresher in the form of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and it IS blowing us away! We're 5 eps in and totally enamored with Dunk and Egg! Are you watching?! What are your thoughts? This is one of the absolute best things on tv now! We're going to talk about it and set you for the rest of the series! Grab a pint of ale and join us!
Jag gästas i detta avsnitt av Max V Karlsson för att prata om A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Egg has to watch this age-inappropriate trial, but Guile would never have watched The Hunger Games. Humfrey Beesbury got a honey mustache instead of an introduction, but what a mustache it is. We all love Ser Duncan the Tall's pre-teen backstory, but we don't love the extra unexpected pain. Maekar continues to be a fav, but we all have to admit this battle wouldn't have worked without Finn Bennett's efforts as Aerion. Raymun stans unite as the green apple comes through battle unfazed, or should we say unbruised. Farewell Baelor Breakhearts, maybe we should spin you off into a Blackfyre Rebellion prequel? We're happy with this episode as it is, but we also want the extended cut. AKotSK. A Song of Ice and Fire. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x05 - In the Name of the Mother. Send a textCersei makes the only play she can. She wisely confesses to most of her crimes, that have already been verified by other witnesses anyway, but denies the big ones. For those questions, trial by combat will determine her guilt. Uncle Kevan reports wholesale changes in the Small Council. Mackelly and Simon weigh her chances.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister hates her jailors, three dour septas. But they break her down and she is ready to confess. She's brought before the High Septon. She admits to her infidelities, but denies the big ones: incest, treason, reicide, and deicide, all of which Osney Kettleblack implicated her in, under torture. The incest one is awkward for the High Septon. It is Stannis Baratheon's accusation and he has fallen in with a false god. He puts his faith in trial by combat to determine her guilt or innocence. She is finally allowed a visitor; her uncle Kevan Lannister. He's angry with her corruption of his son Lancel. And brings only bad news: Jaime has not returned, he was last seen cavorting the Riverlands with a woman believed to be Brienne of Tarth. The Tyrells and Tarlys have come to town to defend Queen Margaery, against whom the High Septon admits the case is weak. Kevan has assembled a whole new Small Council filled with nobody who cares for Cersei.Worst of all is the news that Myrcella has been wounded in Dorne. Cersei blames Tyrion. She asks Kevan to work with Qyburn to get the right man into the Kingsguard to defend her honor.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Cersei Lannister - Dowager Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Mother to King Tommen. The High Septon - Leader of the faith. Known as the High Sparrow for his piety and commitment to poverty.Kevan Lannister - Uncle to Cersei, new Hand of the King.Lancel Lanniser - Son of Kevan, former lover of Cersei. Now a convert to the militant branch of the Faith of the Seven.Qyburn - Disgraced maester of the citadel. Ally to Cersei.Margaery Tyrell - Wife to King Tommen. Mario Busto and Zachary Newton recap Story Archives' episode five deep dive of A Night of the Seven Kingdoms, titled “In the Name of the Mother.” They debate the episode title, then break down the trial by combat and its chaotic, fog-covered battle staging, including key background moments like Raymun Fossay saving Dunk and Baelor being struck in the head. They react to Baelor's death, discuss succession implications and who may have survived, and criticize Aerion's survival despite his injuries. The hosts also analyze Dunk's brutal damage during the fight, praise the helmet POV and heavy-armor realism, and talk through the flashback to young Dunk and Ser Arlan of Pennytree, including whether the flashback used too much runtime in a 35-minute episode. They close with thoughts on the show's high ratings and nostalgia factor, budget comparisons to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, a brief discussion of what they might cover next on the podcast, and end by noting the season finale is next because the season is only six episodes.00:00 Welcome Back + Episode 5 Title Debate (“In the Name of the Mother”)01:36 Why This Episode Hits: Themes, Morality, and the GoT Vibe02:29 Baylor's Death: Reactions, Fallout, and the Succession Question05:01 Breaking Down the Trial by Combat: Hidden Moments & Baylor's Final Hit09:00 Fog of War & Realistic Combat: Dunk's Helmet POV and Brutal Injuries12:30 Aftermath Speculation: Tournament, Dunk's Future, and Maekar's Response15:27 Flashback Controversy: Pacing, “Get Up” Transition, and Arlan of Pennytree29:05 Budget Talk, Aegon's Conquest Spin-off, and Casting Without A-Listers35:01 Actor Presence & a George C. Przez lata nagrywania biografii zauważyłem ciekawą prawidłowość. Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Guile's feeling the Black Stallion vibes as Egg takes Thunder through a pre-breakfast training montage. We're just going to call this guy Ser Ryan Gosling if that's ok with everyone else. Dunk teaches us how to make breakfast sandwiches Westerosi style and also how to do a whip stitch. House Fossoway really loves them apples, and as long as they're green, so do we. Never have we ever...loved a secondary as much as we love Bartholomew the gargoyle. Today we are chatting about the book The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig. This is book 1 in a duology that follows Six, our Diviner and her very blunt and emotional gargoyle on a search for her fellow diviners. She is leaving Aisling for the first time to keep a promise. What she discovers along the way is equal parts endearing and heartbreaking. Our main male character Rory provides us readers with a perfect of example of what it means to show up and be committed. We have little deaths. Sexy scenes that don't involve sex. Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Is Ser Arlan packing a canon cannon? Maybe! Everyone hitting on Ser Duncan the Tall sure is. Maekar is the Jan to Baelor's Marcia on this episode of the Targaryen Bunch. Dunk's getting the feels with Tanselle and panic from the tourney, Egg's somehow remaining anonymous despite being the only bald kid in town, and we're just loving every last second of this ride so far. Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Ser Duncan the Tall and his mysterious hairless squire "Egg" start their adventures in episode 1 of the first season of HBO's latest foray into Westeros. We love the casting, we love the tone, and we love the little digs at Game of Thrones. Is there more book dialogue than original dialogue? Is Tanselle a puppeteer or is she more of special effects artist? Is Ser Lyonel Baratheon the Laughing Storm worth the UTI? More importantly, is half this episode just us talking about George's latest interview with the Hollywood Reporter? AKotS. A Song of Ice and Fire. Tarth, nicknamed the Sapphire Isle, is a beautiful island in Shipbreaker Bay, and has long been a part of the Stormlands. Eons ago they had their own kings with both First Man and Andal ancestry, but the rulers of Tarth have always been dubbed “the Evenstar”, and have resided in Evenfall Hall while maintaining strength at sea. Island folk are always at least a little different from mainlanders and they are no exception. This is the house of Brienne after all, but the story of House Tarth includes another historical exception as well - Ser Duncan the Tall, not to mention a blood connection to House Targaryen.HoW Audience Survey - bit.ly/howsurveyBonus Eps & More - patreon.com/historyofwesterosShirts & Stickers - historyofwesteros.threadless.comwww.historyofwesteros.comIntro/Maps - klaradox.deFacebook Group - bit.ly/howfbDiscord - bit.ly/howdiscordNina - goodqueenaly.tumblr.com/

Of all the huge surprises and payoff moments in A Storm of Swords, the Lady Stoneheart reveal at the end of the epilogue is perhaps the most unexpected. She's a very dark character, hard to look at, hard to hear… but her intentions are clear: kill Freys, kill Lannisters, kill Boltons, find Arya. The BwB's 2nd undead leader has steered them away from justice and helping the smallfolk, towards vengeance and murder. How will it go with her, Jaime and Brienne? What if she meets her uncle Blackfish? Or is reunited with Arya? Athens, Sparta, Thebes, and their neighbors fought a seemingly endless series of civil wars worthy of Westeros. But just like the War of Five Kings, Greece should have been more concerned with uniting against a greater threat massing to the North - one capable of conquering or enslaving them all. This is a grand story of deeds as infamous as the Red Wedding, as heroically selfless as Dunk or Brienne, and as disturbing as the worst Targaryen incest or Bolton torture.HoW Audience Survey - bit.ly/howsurveyBonus Eps & More - patreon.com/historyofwesterosShirts & Stickers - historyofwesteros.threadless.comwww.historyofwesteros.comIntro/Maps - klaradox.deFacebook Group - bit.ly/howfbDiscord - bit.ly/howdiscordNina - goodqueenaly.tumblr.com/

In Part 5 of our recap and review of the final season of Game of Thrones, we finally run into some of the issues that Dave has heard about for many years. The wheels have not fallen off completely...but there is a very big alignment problem going on here. Episode 4 of Season 8, entitled The Last of the Starks, dealt with the aftermath of the ultimate battle between the forces of light and dark. The Night King and his army have been defeated, leaving just the humans to deal with all their frailty, issues, and emotions. In this Episode, no one can keep a secret, people make very poor decisions, alliances are shifting, betrayal looms on the horizon, dragons are ambushed, and a shocking death seems to have set everyone on the bloodiest path possible. The struggle for the Iron Throne, between Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Cersei seems more inevitable than ever. Jon wants to avoid this but foolishly tells his siblings about his rightful claim to the throne, which fuels Sansa's bitterness towards Daenerys and...well you know. Meanwhile, Jamie Lannister hooks up with Brienne, then ditches her for his sister in a heartbreaking moment of stupidity. Wrapped around all of this is the death of a dragon and the sinking feeling that Daenerys's sanity is fraying, especially after she witnesses the stunning death of Missandei. Yes, there is little doubt that the Game has started to go Wrong here...but just how bad is it, if at all? Tune in for another excellent installment of Game Gone Wrong and find out. More than 6 years after its last Episode, Game of Thrones' Final Season remains one of the most controversial and divisive seasons in TV history. But Dave has never watched the final season...until now. In this limited-run, seven-part, special series, Dave, PC Tunney, and DJ revisit the final season one Episode at a time (Dave for the first time) and answer the enduring question: was it as bad as so many claimed?About the Chairshot Radio NetworkLaunched in 2017, the Chairshot Radio Network presents you with the best in sports, entertainment, and sports entertainment.
