In episode 64 of the Dancing with Dragons podcast, we dissect and review Daenerys Stormborn's arrival as she reveals her master plan in Astapor. In one breathtaking sequence, she demonstrates why she's a revolutionary force to be reckoned with—commanding her dragon with a single word and transforming from a woman seeking an army into a liberator who inspires willing followers. The iconic "Dracarys" scene represents everything that makes Game of Thrones exceptional storytelling: shocking twists that somehow feel inevitable in retrospect. Tony & Minwa also unpack Olenna's discussions with Varys and Cersei. Cersei stands up to Tywin. We see a mutiny unfold in the Night's Watch, the return of Beric Dondarrion, and Jamie wallows in pity. ***DISCLAIMER*** Da come potete constatare, Chiara ha avuto enormi problemi di linea durante la registrazione dell'episodio. Stiamo tentando di risolvere. In ogni caso, l'audio si sente regolarmente. “We should start back” sono le primissime parole de “Le Cronache del Ghiaccio e del Fuoco” di George R.R. Martin e noi abbiamo pensato di fare esattamente così. Close The Door And Come Here - Episode 456
We're already halfway through Season 7, as we approach one of the best episodes that occured in the latest part of the show's run, Season 7, Episode 3, "The Queen's Justice." This was a monumental episode for several different reasons, the most notable one being that this episode finally saw the long awaited first meeting between Jon Snow & Daenerys Targaryen, with Jon arriving at Dragonstone to treat with Daenerys and attempt to explain to her the threat from the dead, only to discover that Daenerys is hell bent on conquering all of the seven kingdoms, including bringing the North back into the fold. This episode also contains Cersei Lannister's most gangster moment since blowing up the Sept of Baelor, with Euron presenting the Sand Snakes to her as his gift to her, and Cersei getting to exact her long awaited revenge on Ellaria for Myrcella's murder in a scene that is equal parts jaw dropping as it is horrifying. The episode is just filled from top to bottom with incredible moments, characters reuniting and more. Bran finally arrives home in Winterfell and reunites with Sansa, only to shake her with his newfound powers. Jorah is cured of Greyscale and bids goodbye to Sam, who's both rewarded and punished for it. Tyrion enacts his plan to have the Unsullied seize Casterly Rock, only for them to be waylayed and trapped inland as Jaime has taken the full force of the Lannister army to Highgarden, taking out yet another one of Daenerys' allies, but not before Olenna gives him one last revelation before she departs from the world and the show. It's yet another high stakes episode as we inch even closer to the battle for the throne. We've made it to another one, and we've also reached an important milestone. The season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter" still to this day remains one of the biggest and most important episodes of the entire show. It sets the course for the final two seasons, wraps up all the ancellary storylines, proved that the show had officially become the biggest show on the air at the time, and in particular this episode kicks off with one of the biggest moments of the entire show, with Cersei carrying out her grand plan of using Aerys Targaryen's hidden stash of wildfire to blow up the entire sept, wiping out all her enemies in one fell swoop. The fallout from this episode causes a myriad of different events, as the event is entirely too much for Tommen to bear, as well as finally giving Cersei the full power that she's been seeking this entire time. This is also a momentus episode for Jon & Daenerys as well, with Jon being crowned King in the North after his victory against Ramsay at the Battle of the Bastards, and Daenerys finally setting her sights on Westeros after years of being in Essos. But the minutia still continues to seep in, as Arya carries out her long dormant revenge against the Freys for the Red Wedding, Jaime realizes exactly what side he's on, Bran learns the truth of Jon's parentage, Sam arrives at the Citadel for Maester training & Olenna & the Sand Snakes choose new allies. The sideplots continue with Season 6, Episode 7, "The Broken Man." This episode is special for a variety of different reasons, but namely, because it features the return of a fan favorite character who was previously thought dead by many, Sandor "The Hound" Clegane. The episode chronicles his stay with a small commune of Riverland civilians led by the charismatic Brother Ray, portrayed in a guest spot by Deadwood's Ian McShane, and shows the Hound returning to the fold by refusing to remain broken and helpless as the forces that be continue to terrorize the innocents of the realm. In the North, Jon & Sansa continue their recruitment of their allies to take back Winterfell, but find more opposed to them than previously thought, forcing Sansa to make a desperate move. In King's Landing, Margaery begs Olenna to remove herself from harm's way, while Cersei attempts to make amends, only for Olenna to throw it back at her face. Jaime arrives at Riverrun to treat with the Blackfish, but finds him to be not at all hospitable. Theon & Yara stop off for a quick drink and a pep talk. Arya struts her way down the docks of Braavos, throwing gold ay any sailor willing to take her home, and then seems surprised when the Waif pops out of nowhere and stabs her, but the grace of the Many Faced God allows her to magically survive. We're back with another episode of Talkin' Thrones, and its a big one today, Season 6, Episode 4, "Book of the Stranger." It can become easy to forget about some of the smaller moments that help set up for the larger, more memorable moments like Battle of the Bastards, or even something like the Door next episode, but its episodes like these that are so crucial, because they help to directly set up for a lot of the bigger moments to come. Jon has just completed his final act as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and is about to leave when the first major reunion happens, with Sansa finally arriving at the Wall, marking the first Stark reunion since the pilot. Jon is not yet ready to emerge into the real world, but Sansa makes him see sense once Jon receives a threatening letter from Ramsay. At Winterfell, Osha attempts to trick Ramsay as she once did Theon, but is unable to and pays dearly for it. In King's Landing, Cersei learns a crucial detail and is able to form an alliance with Olenna, while the High Sparrow continues to play his games with Margaery & Tommen. Theon arrives home for the first time in years to learn of his father's death and his sister's attempts for the Throne. In Meereen, Tyrion negotiates a peace treaty with the slavers to less than satisfactory reactions. Littlefinger plots his next move after arriving back in the Eyrie. It all ends with a brilliant fireshow, with Daenerys carrying out her revenge plot against the Khals and showing the Dothraki why they should follow her. A smaller, more intimate set up episode, but an incredible one to say the least. Bryan Cogman returns to write the episode that definitely set the precedent for deviating the most from the books as far as character motivations go. Daenerys takes over Meereen with a cool maneuver from Grey Worm. Jon arranges to take a party north of the wall to kill the Night's Watch mutineers at Craster's, who also happen to have captured Bran. In King's Landing, Jaime is being torn in every direction between his love for both his siblings, and relents by sending Brienne to find Sansa and keep her safe. Brotherhood Without Manners - A Game of Thrones reread Podcast
Brotherhood Without Manners, your favorite full spoiler reread podcast of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, is back with another chapter from Storm of Swords. This episode we read Sansa 1 as she attends dinner with the ladies of House Tyrell. Sansa is in a panicked state as she receives an invitation from Margaery Tyrell, her replacement as Joffrey's queen to be. Escorted by the beautifully handsome Loras Tyrell, Sansa discusses his past tournaments and the loss of Renly Baratheon. Sansa meets Margaery and quickly realizes that she may be in over her head. As Olenna gives Sansa a taste as to why she is called the Queen of Thorns, she also finds out about the monster behind the prince. Sansa has another glimmer of hope as she is promised to wed Willas Tyrell and be moved to Highgarden. We discuss these burning questions and more in this special episode about Motherhood in ASoIaF. Game of Thrones. A Song of Ice and Fire. Special Episode - Motherhood in Westeros. Close The Door And Come Here - Episode 328
“ I assume you’re here to bend the knee?” Daenerys asks Jon Snow expectantly. Jon Snow replies “I am not.” Season 7 conclusion begins in suspense as Jon Snow and Ser Davos arrive at Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys Targaryen. Upon their arrival, Varys and Melisandre have a conversation about each other’s future in Westeros. “Oh I will return dear spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country just like you.” Melisandre tells Varys knowingly. Jon and Daenerys converse for the first time and Jon tells her and Tyrion about the army of the dead. They argue and trade facts about history and loyalties with neither backing down. “So many men have tried to kill me, I don't remember all their names. I have been sold like a broodmare. I've been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen.” Daenerys boasts to Jon. Varys interrupts this interaction with grave news about the Greyjoys and the Sand Snakes. At King’s Landing Euron Greyjoy brings Cersei the priceless gift he promised. Euron and Jaime have a less than friendly interaction while Cersei gets her revenge for Myrcella’s death. Cersei meets with Tycho Nestoris from the Iron Bank of Bravos and they discuss the Lannister. Back at Dragonstone Tyrion and Jon talk of the White Walkers with Jon asking Tyrion if he believes him. “I trust the eyes of an honest man more than I trust what everyone knows.” Tyrion says in response. Jon asks Daenerys to allow him to mine the dragonglass. While in Winterfell, Sansa is growing into her own and making executive decisions as the Lady of Winterfell. Meera brings Bran to Winterfell and Sansa and Bran see each other for the first time since Season 1. Bran tries to describe to Sansa the role of the Three-Eyed Raven in unsettling fashion. In the Citadel, Jorah Mormont has been cured of Grayscale and is ready to return to his Queen. Meanwhile, the Unsullied take Casterly Rock only to find out they were tricked. High Garden falls to Jaime and the Lannister army, Olenna drinks the poison and gives Jaime a confession. Jaime leads his army back to King’s Landing with all of High Gardens’s gold and harvest crops. Meanwhile, Cersei gets an interesting proposition from Tycho. In Winterfell, Petyr Baelish approaches Bran where he finds that even with all of his wits, he can’t fool someone who literally knows everything. Arya arrives in Winterfell for the first time since Season 1 and reunites with her sister and brother, and Bran gives Arya an important gift. Back at Dragonstone, Jon shows Daenerys the dragonglass and some interesting hieroglyphics that provide evidence to the existence of the Night King. Daenerys learns of latest failure at Casterly Rock and is ready to burn it all down. Before she makes a decision, she asks Jon his advice to which he tells her “If you use them to melt castles and burn cities, you’re not different. You’re just more of the same.” In Winterfell, Arya and Brienne have an epic spar while at Dragonstone, and Jon and Theon see each other for the first time since Jon left for the Night’s Watch. Randyll Tarly informs Jaime and Bronn that all of the gold is safely secured in King’s Landing, but that relief is short lived as Daenerys arrives to show them who the real Queen is. Upon her return to Dragonstone, an old knight pledges himself to her once more, and Tyrion devises a plan to make Cersei believe in the threat to the North. In Winterfell, Sansa is tempted by The Northern houses. Tyrion meets with Jaime to convince him to have Cersei agree to armistice, and Ser Davos collects an old friend from Flea Bottom. In the Citadel, Gilly comes across perhaps the most important discovery in Maester Maynards’ records, while Arya in Winterfell makes a shocking discovery of her own. At The Wall, the A-Team of Westeros go beyond to bring back a wight. After dangerous encounters with creatures of the dead, Jon and company catch a wight only to be surrounded by the Night King and his army. Is this the end for them? Or will someone come to save the day? If they do survive, will Cersei have a change of heart when presented the proof or was it all for naught? The Night King adds the most dangerous ally to his army, while in Winterfell, the Stark sisters rid themselves of a dangerous ally of their own. Bran and Sam together fit the final pieces together about Jon’s true lineage, while two relatives are rocking the boat. Meanwhile unbeknownst to anyone except the men holding The Wall at Eastwatch By The Sea, Winter is officially coming to Westeros. Take a dive with the Riddikulus Crew into the conclusion of Season 7 in our 3 and ½ hour special as things begin to come full circle, while other questions are raised. Where does Jon Snow go from here? In the words of Bran Stark “He’s never been a bastard, he’s the heir to the Iron Throne.”
"A girl has been given a second chance, there will not be a third." says Jaquen H'ghar to Arya as we kick off the continuation of Season 6 Game of Thrones Episodes 5, 6 & 7. In the lair of the Three-Eyed Raven, we learn about how the Night King was created. Over in the Iron Islands there is a Kingsmoot for the Salt Throne and Euron Greyjoy pulls off the upset. Meanwhile, Jorah Mormont reveals his greyscale to Daenerys which means his certain death and as he bids her farewell to Daenerys, she tells him "Do not walk away from your queen, Jorah the Andal. You have not been dismissed." at last forgiving him for his betrayal. Bran goes behind the Three-Eyed Raven's back and enters a vision on his own, only to realize his folly too late as the Night King is able to grab him by the wrist in the vision, marking him. The Three-Eyed Raven awakens and knows what has just happened and tell Bran that he must now become the new Three-Eyed Raven because the magic of the lair will no longer keep the Night King out since he marked Bran. Bran asks the Three-Eyed Raven if he is even ready to take on this task, the Three-Eyed Raven tells him no. At Castle Black, Jon Snow is preparing with his war council for the upcoming battle against Ramsay Bolton and the other houses of the North. They realize they are vastly outnumbered so Sansa sends Brienne to Riverrun to request assistance from her uncle Brynden the Blackfish. The Night King arrives at the lair and Meera, Hodor and Bran have to escape with some help from Summer and Leaf. Is it going to be enough though? It will all come down to someone holding a door closed against the many wights. As we cruise into Episode 6, we get an interesting reunion with a certain familiar First Ranger that we haven't seen since Season 1. Sam and Gilly meet Sam's family at Horn Hill which goes about as good as you could expect, Arya screws up her second chance with the faceless men and the High Sparrow outsmarts Cersei, Olenna and Jaime Lannister once more. Brynden the Blackfish has retaken Riverrun and Walder Frey learns of this from his sons and then commands them to retake it using a certain hostage. On the road back to Mereen, Daenerys finds Dragon and mounts him while giving a speech to her new Khalasar. She says, "“Ei khal fin thir nak haan okhe sen dothrakhqoy alo ji qisi mae m’auijazeri ath dineur mae vas ma anha vos khal. Anha vo vakkan sen dothrakhqoy. Anha okkak el yeri. Anha qafak asqoy yeroa, majin yeri m’athiri m’athiri m’ adrivoe ven qoy qoyi m’adothrae ami m’aulijezeri anna athzhowakaroon. Aha aquafak san ale yeroa ei khaloon ray wad khaasaroon mae! Hash yeri m’ayyeyaan?!” (Every khal who ever lived chose three Bloodriders to fight beside him and guard his way. I am not a Khal. I will not choose three Bloodriders. I choose you all. I ask your oath, that you will live and die as blood of my blood; riding at my side to keep me safe from harm. I will ask more of you than any Khal has ever asked from a Khalasar! Will you ride the wooden horses across the Black Salt Sea? Will you kill my enemies in their iron suits and tear down their stone houses? Will you give me the Seven Kingdoms? The gift that Khal Drogo promised me before the mother of mountains as the stars looked down in witness? Are you with me now and always?!) of which she receives a resounding chorus of approval. Now moving into Episode 7, one of our favorite dirty dogs happens to be alive! Jon Snow and Tormund talk the wildlings into fighting with them against the Boltons to retake Winterfell. Jaime Lannister has to come to the Frey's aid with the Lannister army to take over the siege of Riverrun. Now with the wildings secured, Jon Snow, Sansa and Ser Davos take on the grueling task of trying to convince the other Northern houses to fight for them. In Bravos, Arya is gravely wounded from the waif and she may succumb to her wounds as nobody will help her. Meanwhile, The Hound loses the only friends he had and he's ready for revenge. Join the Riddikulus Crew for part 3 on the continuous winding river that is Season 6 of Game of Thrones. This season's breakdown is not for the faint of heart as we will conclude it's evaluation in 4 parts! In the words of Ser Davos "The real war isn't between a few squabbling houses, it's between the living and the dead. And make no mistake, the dead are coming."
"The long night is coming and then dead come with it" Ominous words from Jon Snow as things start to heat up in the last portion of Season 5 Game of Thrones. Maester Aemon's watch comes to an end, Ser Davos tries to convince Stannis that the time is not right to strike Winterfell, Melisandre insists it can be done with a certain....... sacrifice. Meanwhile Sam Tarly becomes a man for the very first time, Jorah and Tyrion are sold into the fighting pits and Olenna meets her match of wits in the High Sparrow. In Dorne, Bronn is deadly close to a "Long Farewell" while Price Doran and Jaime Lannister negotiate terms for Myrcella's future. Cersei is imprisoned in King's Landing, Sansa learns the truth about Bran and Rickon and Ramsay tells his father to hit Stannis while his guard is down "Hit first, hit hard and leave a feast for the crows". Daenerys over in Mereen tells Tyrion " I'm not going to stop the wheel, I'm going to break the wheel" which Tyrion calls a good dream, but in the North there is a Nightmare at Hardhome when Jon Snow and Tormund attempt to rally the wildlings. Brienne finally gets her original justice, while Arya gets justice of her own in the form of Meryn Trant. Varys makes his first appearance in Mereen since Jorah kidnapped Tyrion, Cersei talks a brutal walk and a certain Mountain awaits her at the end. At The Wall, Jon receives a glimmer of hope about his Uncle Benjen until he comes to a stabbing realization. Join the Riddikulus crew on our continuous journey through the Seven Kingdoms and beyond! Just remember, in Bravos "Only death can pay for life".
We close out our time in Westeros with a discussion about minor characters, character arcs, thirst traps, spinoffs, and whether or not the books will ever be completed. This was a marathon discussion and it’s very apparent that one of us is three sheets to the wind as we finally reached the finish line. We dig into our favorite minor characters, which includes a salute to the queen of memes and queen of our hearts - Olenna Tyrell. Jocelyn remains completely on brand and could not choose a single character. As a result, we discuss that sexy Jaqen H'ghar music, characters who are tired of everyone’s ish, and give some well deserved love to the Reed children.Next, we get deep into our feelings about Theon Greyjoy and Jaime Lannister as we discuss our favorite character arcs from the series. We also get into our least favorite arcs. Jocelyn did not appreciate Littlefinger hustling backwards towards the end of his arc and Kristine wanted more development for Daenerys. We then move on to character deaths, which leads us to salute the Queen of Thornes once again for going out like a champ. We discuss the deaths we liked, the deaths we hated, and the ones that left us in shambles. If you are one with the thirst and the thirst is one with you, the segment on thirst traps will not disappoint! We also settle a very important debate about the best Daario and chat about our favorite failed fan theories. The episode closes out with what’s next for fans and we revisit our prior discussion on Pose in response to a lovely listener letter.Friendly reminder - we drink, we know things, and we use adult language. We will see you next Wine Wednesday for a discussion about Fleabag. THE WORLD IN GAME OF THRONESI read an article that shows that women run the world in Game of Thrones, have you thought about it?Although at the beginning of the series, women hardly have power, things have changed a lot during these seven seasons.Forget the War of Five Kings, the Queens are the ones that rule.Daenerys Targaryen has a huge army and three dragons and has just started the conquest of Westeros. Several women participated in his council of war, such as Yara Greyjoy, who aspires to be queen of the Iron Islands and Ellaria Arena, who deposed the government of Dorne and Olenna, queen of thorns, who in a conversation with Daenerys claims to have known many clever men and have survived them all and their secret is "I ignored them"Ellaria and Yara were captured iat the end of episode two and taken to Cersei Lannister who burned most of his enemies, taking the throne in a spectacular way, but still has to face tough enemies like Sansa, who has just gained control of the North and Arya, now a ruthless killer. It is unclear who will finally sit on the Iron Throne but it is probably a woman. The noun "prince" in Alto Valyrio has no gender, so it will be a Prince or a Princess who will bring "the dawn".Everything can happen.

Spoilers, profanity, Jaime x Brienne. Renly's dead and the King's Landing crowd isn’t sure how, but are glad he's gone. We lament the plot that did not come to be—Cersei going to Highgarden to negotiate with Olenna for Margaery’s hand (we could have had it all!) A Song of Ice and Fire. A Clash of Kings - Tyrion VIII Close the Door And Come Here - Episode 202
In this breakdown of “The Queen’s Justice,” we get together LIVE AND IN PERSON to record our thoughts on the ethics of Olenna’s revenge, the ethics of Cersei’s revenge, and wow, there’s a lot of revenge going on this season, isn’t there? We also dig into some really interesting ideas in the realm of political and legal ethics that are just as practical in our world as in Dragon-Direwolf-Incest Land (my pet name for Westeros): What justifies faith in someone’s testimony? What does skepticism look like in Westerosi culture? And what can myths teach us – even when they’re not strictly true? – Daenarys and Jon Is asking “who is innocent/guilty” the wrong question? Why restorative justice instead of punitive justice? How would restorative justice work in the world of Westeros? When does restoration + making the right decision become impossible? And what are the philosophical limits of justice? – Cersei and Ellaria Sand How does political power shape a culture and its ethics? Is the pursuit of power ethically responsible for parents? And to what extent is political power truly based on the will of the people? What role does memory play in preventing the immoral use of power? – Cersei, Jaime, Euron, and Westeros What is the right way to respond to the suffering of your enemies? Is vengeance really a good way to go? And what effect does keeping secrets and revealing secrets have on the human psyche? – Jaime and Olenna
When should you betray someone? Should you keep ALL your oaths? And is cowardice really unvirtuous if it saves your life and the lives of others? And now, with Jon Snow and Daenarys Targaryen meeting up and the Night King moving further south, our favorite HBO show is bringing whole worlds together. The stakes are higher than ever for the show’s characters and for the decisions they make. In the second episode we talk about some of the many philosophical decisions in Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 2: “Stormborn”: When is it right to betray someone? Is Varys morally admirable? Is he really serving the greater good? – Varys and Daenarys How do leaders use in-group bias (nationalism, etc) to maintain and gain power? How do you know when in-group bias blinds you to in-group evil? –Cersei and the Lords of the Reach When is it appropriate to make and break oaths? When do covenants become null and void? – the Tarlys, the Tyrells, and Jaime Is it ever acceptable to harm innocents in warfare? Is it better to be feared or loved in leadership? – Tyrion, Daenarys, and Olenna How should we think about the virtue of courage against the vice of cowardice? Would Theon have been virtuous to attack Euron? – Theon and Euron
In Season 3 Episode 2, Zach meets Lady Olenna and instantly loves Sassy Grandma. Seeing the Tyrells in actions certainly tips the scales in their favor for who will win the crown, at least in Zach's eyes. Jon arrives at Dragonstone, where he comes face-to-face with Daenerys. She wants him to bend the knee. Jon asks for help to fight the Night King and the Army of the Dead. Daenerys is baffled. Melisandre skips town, but says "I'll be back". Bran arrives at Winterfell and creeps Sansa the fuck out. Euron delivers his prize to Cersei, who indicates they can marry once they win the war. Cersei gives Tyene a poisok Kiss and condemns Ellaria to watch her die. Jorah demonstrates his remarkable recovery from his grayscalectomy. The Archmaester gives Sam a pile of busy work as his reward. Grey Worm and the Unsullied capture a barely-defended Casterly Rock, while Euron sinks their fleet. Jaime captures Highgarden with the bulk of the Lannister forces and Randyl Tarly's men. Jamie allows Olenna to die painlessly from poison, but she gets the last word.

Join Jeremy Baker and Meredith from CFOX as they discuss episode 3 of Game of Thrones Season 7. Jon arrives at Dragonstone. Daenerys demands his fealty. He refuses and focuses instead on convincing her to fight the Army of the Dead. Following Tyrion's advice, Daenerys grants Jon access to the island's dragonglass. Melisandre hides her presence from Jon and leaves for Volantis. Bran arrives at Winterfell and reveals his newfound role as the Three-Eyed Raven to Sansa. In King's Landing, Euron returns with Ellaria and Tyene as a gift for Cersei, who promises to marry him after the war is won. She also awards him co-control of her military alongside Jaime. Cersei administers to Tyene the same poison used to kill Myrcella, forcing Ellaria to watch her daughter's impending death. In Oldtown, a healed Jorah leaves to find Daenerys. Ebrose forgives Samwell. Grey Worm and the Unsullied attack Casterly Rock, only to find it mostly abandoned. Jaime led most of the Lannister forces in an attack on Highgarden, while Euron's fleet ambushes and destroys the Unsullied's ships. The Lannister forces overwhelm Olenna's army. Jaime offers Olenna a quick and painless death by poison. After drinking it, she confesses to poisoning Joffrey.

The second episode, Stormborn, kicked the door down with swift elaboration on Azor Ahai. Wut? That’s the Song of Fire and Ice’s version of Jesus that is going to send the Night King and his army of the dead to somewhere very, very warm. This is huge in the theory land of book fandom, like R+L = J big. At some point soon, Dany and John will meet. Fangirl hearts are pitter pattering everywhere, this episode of the podcast included. Just as high as the episode takes us, it also thoroughly grosses us out. Thanks again Citadel and your witchy ways. Then when you think you’re going to vomit, it washes you over with joy and sorrow when we see Nymeria again. Yes. That’s her. We frequently imagine that we have somehow built up a tolerance to the reckless highs and lows to Game of Thrones, and that’s the narrative’s magic if there ever was one – because we haven’t. Now it’s time to listen to us get all up in our feelings about all these things, too: Verys and Dany confrontation Red Priestess and her dangerous prophecy Jaime & Tarly Balerion the Dread, Cersei and her mad scientist Olenna and clever men Greyworm & Missendai 4eva ARYA KNOWS ABOUT JON! AND SHE WENT HOME! Brothers and sisters, religious dissension, and broken men confronting their imperfections. The Broken Man was a slower paced episode meant to lay down some major foundation for the next couple episodes. We see Blackfish put Kingslayer in his place, Kingslayer put Dumb and Dumber Frey in their place, and The Lady of Bear Island put everyone in their place. Also, Olenna and Cerci showdown,"Arya" seeming to forget everything she's ever learned about being a sneaky ninja assassin, and lesbianism tit-licking. Get your enchanted weed out and load up the dragon bong its GAME OF STONED TIME! The return of The Hound takes up considerable screen time in this episode. We learn about where he's been, how he's survived, and what pushed him to keep going (hint, it's not his undying love for Sansa). In King Landing Margaery seems to be a full fledged nut job who loves the lord(s) and loves drawing flowers. What's that High Sparrow? Margaery isn't fucking the baby King enough? That's not awkward at all. Meanwhile in the north, Jon and Sansa meet with various houses to attempt to cobble together an army that consists of more than wildlings. We meet Lyanna Mormont, the scariest ten-year-old we've ever seen. The Lannister kids should have taken notes from this chick. Lastly, in a shocking scene, "Arya" prepares for her homecoming in Westeros by making a big show about where she is and what she's up to. That should turn out okay. More exciting than any of this is our first review for Game of Stoned! Thanks EdieG123 for the 5-star review on iTunes! We are soo thankful for you! Be cool, be like EdieG123, and leave a review! Alex and Johnny talk episode 4 of season 3 of HBO's "Game of Thrones," "And Now His Watch is Ended." This is the one where Jeor gets stabbed in the back by a whiny dope not worth mentioning. Craster dies, too, though, so it's not ALL bad. Also, Olenna, Varys and Margery awesome all over Kings Landing, giving Sansa false hope for her future, Arya meets Berrick "Robin Hood" Dondarrion, Theon gets PUNK'D and Dany murders a bunch of people in Astapor. But she does it with serious style, so we're not mad at her. -------------------------------------------------------- TIME CODES: ----------------------------------------------------------- For the most up to date news and information regarding the podcast, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @gotthronespcast! The rewatch continues with episode 2 of season 3 of HBO's "Game of Thrones," "Dark Wings, Dark Words." Despite some of the usual death and torture, this episode is positively lighthearted in the grand scheme of things. Brienne and Jaime have about ten minutes of hilarious banter before they get themselves captured, Margery shows us all what a boss looks like when she gets Joffrey to like her without wanting to see her insides and Lady MFin' Olenna arrives with her Cheeseboy to show Kings Landing what no fuck's given REALLY looks like. Move over, Tywin. Oh, and we also meet Ramsay Bolton, but that won't be important until later.
