The Davos' Fingers - A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast is an incredible podcast that brings together fans of the ASOIAF series in a fun and engaging way. As a late bloomer to the fandom, I was thrilled to find this podcast as it provided me with a group of people who shared my love for books and allowed me to obsessively talk about them. Joining their community, known as ASOM, has led to some amazing friendships that I am forever grateful for. One person who deserves a lot of credit in this fandom is Davis Fingers, as they have brought so many nerds together and created a sense of family among us.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is how it enhances the understanding and appreciation of the ASOIAF books. The hosts, Matt and Scad, provide insightful analysis and discussion throughout each episode, which has greatly enhanced my own reading experience. Their relaxed approach and friendly banter make it feel like you're sitting down with old friends discussing your favorite series. Additionally, their incorporation of real-life experiences into the podcast adds depth and relatability to their discussions.

However, one downside to this podcast is that not all guests may resonate with every listener. While some may find certain guests annoying or trying too hard to be funny, others may enjoy their presence on the show. It's important to remember that everyone's tastes are different, and not every episode will appeal to every listener. Nonetheless, the overall quality and content of the podcast make up for any minor disagreements regarding specific guests.

In conclusion, The Davos' Fingers - A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast is an exceptional podcast that provides an enjoyable and informative journey through the ASOIAF series. The hosts' chemistry and intelligent analysis make for an engaging listening experience that enhances one's understanding and appreciation of these beloved books. Whether you're a first-time reader or seasoned veteran on a reread, this podcast is a must-listen for any fan of the series.

House of the Dragon season one has come to an end and so does our coverage of it in episode 136: The Black Queen.  Rhaenys has delivered the message of Viserys' passing to Dragonstone, and team Rhaenyra has to contend with a baby on the way, a usurped throne, a questionable roster of allies, and their own very conflicted emotions about an impending war and the loss of loved ones. Stretched thin, they use all the resources at their disposal as best as they can, but at what cost?  House of the Dragon might be over for now, but the Davos' Fingers Podcast is going right back into it!  We will see you back here for a new episode of Meet the Khalasar in three weeks as we leave the show behind and let the books take center stage as they should.  Meet the Khalasar episodes dive into a single chapter with Matt, Scad and a single member of the Khalasar while also letting us all get to know that Bloodrider better.  So come check out the podcast in three weeks for a brand new episode.
