Her second PhD was a study of the songs of Australian magpies.Gisela's many books on Australian native birds have changed the way these creatures are understood.Along with her teaching, writing and research in ornithology, Gisela has been a wildlife carer for 25 years, raising countless birds of all ages. This episode of Conversations contains discussion around birds, native Australian animals, Australian fauna, magpies, cockatoos, tawny frogmouths, owls, galahs, domestic pets, animal rehabilitation, animal rescue, Australian wildlife, Australian bush, animal behaviour, ornithology, biology, field biology, wildlife carers, bird rearing, bird release, Bird Bonds.

The K9PT Academy Podcast: Business lessons for canine rehab therapists
I wanted to share a few announcements! We're running a virtual Masterclass titled a “Step By Step Blueprint on building your Canine Rehabilitation Business”. I'm running additional sessions tomorrow evening, Saturday and Sunday and also on Monday evening. I wanted to run it at different times/on different days to give everyone a chance to join! If none of those sessions work for you, email me and I'll send you a replay of it. The other thing that I have coming up is the new and revamped Business Accelerator program! This program is where I teach you everything that I know and how I created my clinic including foundational marketing tactics, operations, pricing structure, systems, getting referrals and more. This is the last time I'm offering my Business Accelerator at this price point! In today's podcast episode, I talk about my experience at the STAAR conference (Symposium for Therapeutic Advancement in Animal Rehabilitation). I share some of my takeaways and thoughts afterwards. It was amazing to be back in person for such an event and the folks who organized the conference placed a heavy emphasis on hands-on learning which was really cool to see. While down there, I picked up a book called 3 feet from Gold. The concept itself is not new but it was such a terrific book and a quick and easy read which made me want to share it with you. If you're feeling stuck and not seeing the light at the end of the road, this book is a great read~ Listen to the full episode to hear more!
