I first met The Wildwoods at The Zoo Bar in Lincoln, NE back when they were just getting started at 14 and 15 years old. I was roughly 21 and on one of my first (if not very first) tours. We've stayed in touch, played shows together, and run into each other at hotel lobby bars at music conferences. Their sound goes beyond acoustic instruments and in-tune harmonies, they're poets with high-level musicianship and arranging abilities. Their success on the road and on social media (nearly 250K followers on instagram and 90K on TikTok) is no surprise, but rather a testament to their hard work and ability to package and deliver their product. In our conversation, we chat about the band's origins, how the three bandmates play to each other's strong suits, supporting Tophouse on their most recent headlining tour, how they implemented a strategy for social media growth, and their new album, Dear Meadowlark, which began gracing listeners ears on April 11, 2025. From The Wildwoods Website: "In the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, The Wildwoods emerge as a folk/Americana trio, a musical tapestry woven by the husband-and-wife duo, Noah (guitar) and Chloe Gose (violin), alongside long-time friend and bassist, Andrew Vaggalis. Their story is a symphony of exploration and connection, a journey that has taken them from the Midwest to international stages, carving out a unique place in the folk landscape. Their presence has graced stages alongside artists such as Mighty Poplar, Sierra Ferrell, Aiofe O' Donovan, Melissa Carper, Jamie Wyatt and Joe Nichols at concerts and festivals like Summerfest, FreshGrass and the Oyster Ridge Music Festival. Full Hour | In today's third hour, Dom welcomes Congressman Ronny Jackson onto the Dom Giordano Program, to hear his analysis on the ongoing Secret Service hearings concerning the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Jackson, who was the official doctor of both President Trump and Obama, tells of his friendship with Trump, noting what he saw with his own eyes when analyzing Trump's gunshot wound to his ear. Rep. Jackson takes us inside his personal meetings with Trump, and offers his thoughts on the attempt by Director Wray and the media to change the story to a shrapnel wound, rather than a gunshot wound. Then, Dom Giordano welcomes back good friend Ben Rose of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority onto the Dom Giordano Program to hear what's coming up in the great shore destination of the Wildwoods at the Jersey Shore. Ben tells Dom about a parade that draws hundreds of toddlers and babies to the beach, and an upcoming tattoo convention happening the same weekend as a great beach baseball tournament. He taught himself how to play guitar after finding his father's guitar under a bed. He has a wide-ranging musical taste, listening to artists from John Prine to Radiohead and Weezer. Violin player Chloe Gose grew up with a musical mother and brother, the latter of whom inspired her to start playing her instrument of choice for the first time. Bass player Andrew Vaggalis didn't learn how to play his first instrument until he was 14, as he was primarily into sports before picking up a guitar. In this episode of Kites and Strings, we usher in Season 4 with Noah and Chloe Gose of the three-piece, Americana/folk band from Lincoln Nebraska, The Wildwoods.  We explore all sorts of things, and although we set out to explore what it was like to be married couple, writing music together, performing together, touring together and all that is involved in the business of making music and a band your way of earning a living, what's really interesting is that they have been together, doing all of those things since middle school.  Yes, Noah and Chloe, who are now married for 5 years, met at a music camp at the ripe old age of 13, and have essentially been performing together since.  And if you know anything about singing and harmonies, you know that what's referred to as "sibling harmony" is a thing.  Listening to The Wildwoods, one hears it, but in this case, it's, been together since 13 harmonies.  In this episode, some of their music is offered and the listener will hear right away that the vocal arrangements are center. We hope you enjoy this episode of string grabbing and kite flying with Noah and Chloe Gose, who are so genuine and such a joy to have on Kites and Strings.
