Welcome to the Transatlantic series, a co-production of Audible Bleeding (a publication of the SVS) and the ESVS podcast. In today's episode, we explore the intersocietal guidelines on peripheral arterial disease in patients with diabetes and foot ulcers authored by the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot (IWGDF), the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS), and the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS).   Dr. Robert Fitridge is a Professor of Vascular Surgery at University of Adelaide in Australia. He is a member of the IWGDF and is also a member of the steering committee for the Global Vascular Guideline on the management of Chronic Limb-threatening Ischaemia.    Dr. Vivienne Chuter is a Professor in the Department of Podiatry at Western Sydney University and Honorary Professor in the School of Health Science at The University of NewCastle. She is a member of the IWGDF. She has published extensively on diabetic foot disease and leads a clinically based research program focusing on the prevention and management of diabetes-related foot disease for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and for non-Indigenous Australians.   Dr. Nicolaas Schaper is an emeritus professor of Endocrinology at Maastricht University Hospital in the Netherlands. Dr. Schaper was the coordinator of the European diabetic foot research consortium, Eurodiale. He is Chair of the 2023 Diabetic Foot Symposium (ISDF 2023) and is Chair of the IWGDF.   Dr. Joseph L. Mills is a Professor of Vascular Surgery at Baylor in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the IWGDF. Anna Costamagna is an Italian Interior Design Manager working at Peugeot and Advanced Design Manager for Stellantis. While her mother worked as an assistant to Sergio Pininfarina, she began her career at Bertone in Caprie, a suburb of her native Turin, after studying engineering and management. She then moved to Paris, France, to bring Peugeot production cars to fruition. Over her career, Costamagna has worked with a number of companies to develop future-looking concepts as well as groundbreaking interior proposals, including the Peugeot i-Cockpit. Tra i tanti ospiti in programma per la V edizione: Niccolò Fabi (venerdì 24 luglio a Bussoleno, TO), incontrerà Saverio Tommasi per un dialogo sui diritti umani. La sua canzone “Io sono l'altro” - da “Tradizione e tradimento” pubblicato a ottobre 2019 - è la vincitrice per il 2020 del Premio Amnesty International Italia. Sarà un incontro tra musica e parole durante il quale racconterà la sua esperienza a fianco di Medici con l'Africa CUAMM e Associazione Nazionale Italiana Cantanti, realtà con cui da sempre collabora attivamente. I fronti alti degli incendi dell'area Cumiana-Cantalupa hanno interessato i 7 confini, dunque la zona del giavenese.Dal punto di vista delle priorità, i punti più critici sono quelli che rischiano l’esposizione delle case e degli abitanti. L’altra zona è quella della zona di Mompantero che ormai è sotto le pendici del Rocciamelone e Caprie, anche nel verso il parco del Gran Paradiso dove i fronti sono in via di espansione. Nel cuneese i fronti sono molto estesi, 15 km sul Sambuco e sul valico di confine dell’Argentera.L’incendio di Roure continua a covare, tutto in sotterranea, ogni tanto ha delle riprese, c’è stato in zona Perrero. La reazione è stata immediata ma purtroppo parliamo di gestione di questo incendio, non è pensabile parlare di estinzione e andare a casa a riposarsi.
