In episode 550 of ADHD reWired, Eric Tivers sits down with Dr. Shannan Palma to explore Decide—a suite of AI-powered decision-support tools built by and for neurodivergent brains. Throughout this conversation, you'll hear about: How Decide leverages AI (Gemini and large language models) to help with everyday choices and multi-step tasks. The story behind IT Assistive Technologies and the Autistic Self-Reliance Support Network. Real-world examples of “decision fatigue” and how Decide's guided and randomized features ease choice paralysis. The balance between AI assistance and human insight—and why a trusting, well-prompted tool can feel like a personal neurodivergent life coach. Pricing, privacy, and the community-focused mission: 85 percent of ITI's profits fund disability-led initiatives. Bonus segments on Pride Month, coaching groups, virtual coworking, and how to get involved with ADHD reWired's summer programs. Use these show notes to get a quick overview, find useful links, and discover why Decide might become your new go-to when you're stuck choosing dinner, figuring out a daily routine, or simply need a gentle “nudge” to move forward. Episode Summary Dr. Shannan Palma—co-founder of Decide and co-director of the Autistic Self-Reliance Support Network—joins Eric to unpack how tools designed by autistic and ADHD adults can transform decision making for all of us. Shannan shares her own late autism and ADHD diagnoses, the challenges she faced finding resources after getting “the piece of paper,” and how a 48-hour hackathon sparked a project that won first prize and secured nearly $400 k in grant funding. From door-dash dilemmas to life-altering choices (like whether to adopt a foster dog), Decide offers two core modes: Randomized Choice Generator Users create custom lists (e.g., favorite restaurants, daily routines) and assign energy costs. The app selects an option based on your current energy level—no more breakfast indecision or “what to watch next” paralysis. Guided Decision Assistance A series of friendly, “affirmative” prompts mirror a real-time coach. By reflecting back your own criteria (energy, resources, priorities), Decide delivers a percentage-confidence recommendation and rationale—so you can make a defensible, informed choice without overthinking. Along the way, Shannan emphasizes the importance of privacy (your data always belongs to you), ethical AI (focusing on “do no harm”), and how Decide's freemium model avoids the “ADHD tax” by offering 10 free guided decisions per month. Premium access is available for $4.99/month, but you can cancel at any time without losing progress. Key Takeaways Why “Decision Fatigue” Matters: Neurodivergent brains often struggle with countless small choices (e.g., “What's for dinner?”). Decide's randomized generator isn't just for fun—it reduces executive-function load by factoring in your energy level and pre-ranked options. Guided Mode = Personalized Neurodivergent Coaching: Instead of writing complex prompts for ChatGPT or Claude, Decide asks you targeted yes/no/unsure questions. Once you answer, it gives a clear recommendation (with a confidence score) plus a brief “why,” so you trust your decision-making process. Built by Autistic + ADHD Makers: After Shannan's late autism diagnosis, she realized few supports existed for lower-visibility autistic adults. A 48-hour hackathon (Give Back Hack Columbus) brought together autistic and ADHD engineers, designers, and researchers—leading to Decide's prototype and subsequent $400 k grant from Ohio's Department of Developmental Disabilities. Community-First Funding Model: 85 percent of any IT Assistive Technologies' profits flow back to the Autistic Self-Reliance Support Network (ASR). ASR focuses on autonomy and resources for autistic adults—rather than caregiver research—aiming to expand capacity and economic inclusion across the lifespan. Privacy & Data Rights: Decide won't train AI on your personal data, and you retain full ownership of anything you input. Future plans include an opt-in research repository for autistic/ADHD lifespan data—governed by community safeguards. To me boli. Nima upanja in nima volje. Nima življenja v sebi. In zato nima prihodnosti. Iskati lepoto v stvarstvu in v ljudeh okoli nas, in sicer vseh ljudeh.

Hey team! Justin here. I'm incredibly excited to share this episode with you because it dives into something I'm deeply passionate about—the biopsychosocial model that forms the foundation of everything we do at Feel Strong Fitness. In this episode, I break down why I believe treating you as a whole person—not just a collection of muscles and movements— is absolutely crucial for real, lasting results. I'll walk you through why your biology, psychology, and social environment all play essential roles in your fitness journey.I explain what the biopsychosocial model is and why I've built my entire coaching philosophy around itI share examples of how seemingly simple health issues often have complex underlying causesI reveal why I believe standard, one-size-fits-all fitness approaches consistently let people downI take you behind the scenes of how we apply this model at Feel Strong FitnessMy experience shows that addressing only one dimension while ignoring psychological and social contexts leaves gapsI'm convinced that the biopsychosocial model offers a more compassionate, effective approach to fitnessI truly believe this perspective will change how you think about your own fitness journey. Give it a listen, and let me know your thoughts!

Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, to water a land where no one lives, an uninhabited desert (Job 38:25-26)Most people didn't view the Great Depression as the best time to launch a toy company. But that's exactly when LEGO, the most successful toy brand of all time, was born. The company's founder, a devout Christian aptly named Ole Kirk Christiansen, had spent years building a traditional carpentry business. But by the early 1930s, business was slumping while his debts were soaring. So he pivoted to making toys like yo-yos, toy cars, and eventually LEGO bricks. And everyone told him he was out of his mind.“I think you're much too good for that, Christiansen,” one friend said. “Why don't you find something more useful to do!” The world was in crisis after all. People needed food, not toys. But Christiansen disagreed. In his own playful life and the life of the business he created to help others play well, Christiansen demonstrated a deep understanding of this truth: We mere Christians can glorify God by embracing fun, beauty, play, and “useless” work because our heavenly Father does the same. That's what we see in today's passage. God says that he sends “torrents of rain...to water a land where no one lives.” Why would God make it rain in an uninhabited desert? Apparently just for the fun of it!Commenting on this verse, theologian Dr. R. Paul Stevens says that God's playful nature should produce in his people a “freedom from the tyranny of utility.” In other words, godly play—not just productivity—pleases God.I'll be the first to admit that I am glacially slow to learning this. But by God's grace I am coming to see that play is productive for my soul and my goals. As Dr. Stuart Brown says, “In the long run, work does not work without play.”If you, like me, are not used to playing, let me encourage you to adopt this practice I recently found very helpful: Take stock of your play history. Ask yourself what you did as a kid or as an adult that felt like play. Based on my study of the work of Dr. Brown and others, I define play as any activity that has these 5 characteristics:I would say I “get” to do it rather than “have” to do itI lose track of time while I'm doing itI can't wait to do it againI can't stop talking about it with othersI have no deadline to complete the activityOnce you've made a list of things that have historically felt like play, schedule 30-90 minutes this week to engage in one of those activities knowing that you, like LEGO's founder, can glorify God as you do!

Quietmind Astrology — Learn Vedic Astrology with Jeremy Devens
“It's better to fail in your own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another.”This timeless truth from the Bhagavad Gita is the heart of today's episode.Whether you're in a job you've outgrown or on the brink of launching something deeply meaningful, this episode will help you connect the dots between astrology and your purpose. These are the same conversations I've had with hundreds of clients in 1-1 readings—“Am I on the right path?” “What am I here to do?” “Can astrology help me find my calling?” The answer is a loud and clear YES.In this episode, I unpack how Vedic astrology reveals your life purpose and ideal career path—using real-life examples, including Robin Williams, Oprah Winfrey, and Steve Jobs. We explore their charts to illustrate how placements like Atma Karaka, Rahu, the 10th house, and planetary combinations illuminate not just career, but deeper soul-level purpose. You'll learn:• Why the 10th house is just the beginning when it comes to career astrology• What your Atma Karaka says about your true soul essence• How to understand the deeper why behind your gifts and talents• The difference between career (job) and calling (dharma)—and how to align both• Why intuition must come first, and astrology is a tool to clarify, not override itI also cover:• How your current Dasha cycle may be shaping your life path• The deeper meaning behind Rahu-Venus and Mars-in-Aries combinations• Why Robin Williams' chart reflects his fast-paced comedic genius—and Oprah's reflects her grounded, heart-centered communication style• Why staying in a job just for the money often leads to soul-level dissatisfaction• How to notice when your intuition is blocked and simple ways to clear the channelThis episode also includes journaling prompts and reflection points to help you recognize when you're most intuitive and how to clear what's blocking you from hearing your deeper calling.Whether you're completely lost in your job, or you've already found your path and just want to go deeper with it—there is something here for you. I also share practical ways you can start aligning with your chart today, including how to tell which career paths are a fit based on your 10th house, Dasha cycle, Amatya Karaka, and planetary placements.
