Negli ultimi anni, però, il numero di donne che scelgono percorsi di studio in ingegneria e architettura è cresciuto in modo significativo. Il problema principale emerge nel mondo del lavoro. Sempre più professioniste entrano nel settore, ma poche riescono a raggiungere ruoli dirigenziali o posizioni di potere. Carboni ha sottolineato anche il tema del divario salariale, ancora molto presente nelle professioni tecniche italiane. L'associazione AIDIA, acronimo di Associazione Italiana Donne Ingegneri e Architetti, nasce proprio con l'obiettivo di valorizzare le competenze femminili nel settore tecnico-scientifico. Attraverso incontri, formazione e collaborazioni con università e ordini professionali, l'associazione promuove una maggiore partecipazione femminile nelle discipline STEM. Intelligenza artificiale e trasformazione del lavoro tecnico Uno dei temi centrali affrontati durante l'intervista riguarda l'evoluzione tecnologica. Per Valentina Carboni, l'intelligenza artificiale sta rivoluzionando il mondo dell'ingegneria e dell'architettura. La digitalizzazione ha cambiato radicalmente i tempi e i metodi di lavoro. Processi che in passato richiedevano giorni oggi possono essere completati in poche ore grazie ai nuovi strumenti digitali. Si tratta di una passeggiata partecipativa ispirata alla figura di Jane Jacobs, attivista e studiosa statunitense che ha rivoluzionato il modo di osservare e vivere gli spazi urbani. L'iniziativa ha coinvolto anche gli studenti del corso di laurea triennale in Programmazione, gestione e promozione turistica degli itinerari della cultura e dell'ambiente dell'Università di Nuoro. Attraverso un percorso urbano dedicato a Grazia Deledda, gli studenti hanno analizzato la città con uno sguardo diverso, più attento alle dinamiche sociali e urbanistiche. Valentina Carboni e la pianificazione di genere Tra i progetti che più hanno segnato il suo percorso professionale, Valentina Carboni ha citato la pianificazione di genere. Si tratta di un approccio urbanistico che mette al centro le esigenze delle persone. Non solo donne, ma anche lavoratori, immigrati e cittadini con disabilità. L'obiettivo è progettare città e spazi più inclusivi, sicuri e accessibili. Un modello che unisce ingegneria, architettura e attenzione sociale. Per Carboni, il futuro delle professioni tecniche passa proprio dalla capacità di osservare la società con sensibilità diverse e competenze multidisciplinari. Il consiglio alle future ingegnere Nel finale dell'intervista, Valentina Carboni ha lasciato un messaggio rivolto alle studentesse che desiderano intraprendere una carriera tecnica. Il consiglio principale è coltivare la curiosità e non fermarsi davanti alle difficoltà. Secondo l'ingegnera, il mondo del lavoro richiede aggiornamento continuo, apertura mentale e capacità di confrontarsi con discipline differenti. Carboni ha raccontato di non aver mai smesso di studiare, continuando ancora oggi il proprio percorso formativo attraverso master e specializzazioni. Per lei, la multidisciplinarità rappresenta uno degli strumenti più importanti per affrontare il futuro e costruire nuove opportunità professionali.

Un intervento totale da 1,2 milioni di euro che si inserisce in un piano di ammodernamento e potenziamento del sistema acquedottistico locale, che ha interessato anche il centro idrico di Grumello a Chiampo, dove i filtri a carboni attivi sono stati attivati lo scorso febbraio.

Fabrizio Carboni, head of the ICRC delegation to the US and Canada, speaks to his vast experience in the wars of the past two decades, including the profound impact of 9/11 (2001) in integrating humanitarian action into battlefield strategies—including the targeting of humanitarian operations. Today, almost 25 years later, we are witnessing unrestrained violence, limitless war, and flagrant disregard for International Humanitarian Law. The emotional, psychological dimensions are poorly understood. Political leadership is essential whenever soldiers are asked to respect IHL. The most dangerous moment is when states argue that they are fighting a "survival war" that they believe is exceptional. Does the Trump administration honor IHL or seek a "realist" American First alternative? It is too early to reach a conclusion: "There is no rupture." It is also too early to know how deep cuts in US foreign assistance will impact ICRC and the broader global response to humanitarian crises. ICRC does remain a "soft target," increasingly exposed. It is striking how a single actor—the United States—can be so "steep" in changing its course. It shifts the ground towards deeper burden-sharing and inspires a debate on what the new architecture will be, with far less money. ICRC has just recently repatriated the remains of 6,000 persons killed in the Russian war against Ukraine. In Gaza there is no way for ICRC to avoid getting hit from all directions. 2,200 Gazans were recently shot or hit with shrapnel while approaching the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation food distributions. "Those numbers are unacceptable."
