Feral Season is good. Feral Season is damn good. The band's debut album, "Rotting Body In The Range Of Light," out on Profound Lore records harkens back to the second wave of Norwegian Black Metal, but without truly biting the style, or sound. Karl and I delve into a couple songs off of the album, discuss the writing process and the themes behind the record, an manage to listen to some of his doom-death band, Occlith, as well. So pass the aux to Karl, and join us as we nerd out over Enslaved, Mayhem, EVPs, and absolutely gush over the new Cannibal Corpse record. https://feralseason.bandcamp.com/ -------------------- "I Hate Music" theme by Marius Sjoli. -------------------- https://www.facebook.com/hatepod.music/ https://www.instagram.com/i_hate_music_podcast/ Email and listener suggestions to: hate.pod.music@gmail.com Donations to support our podcast: paypal.me/hatepod #ihatemusicpodcast **I Hate Music is an Earth in Sound Production** https://www.earthinsound.org/

Doom and Stoner Doom are not the originators of long songs but they definitely carry the form in epic proportions. This episode is dedicated to the long-format song and its ability to take you on a journey. We start with a little Vancouver band called Cambodia (2003-2006) and a 22-minute Funeral Doom track that will leave you devastated and yet with a glimmer of hope, Cope is real a song made for this last year and how many of us have gotten by. This is followed by Vile Creature, 2021 Juno Nominee for Best Metal Album, Glory! Glory! Apathy Has Took Helm!, and they let us ponder on When The Path Is Unclear. Then it is time to truly get ready to travel to altered states with Aiauasca from Montreal, in their 35-minute hallucination with the means to heal your mind. Next, it is time to get Stoned and Astral travel with Saint Karloff's 40-minute Interstellar Voodoo. Sit back and buckle up cuz we're going on a space ride. In conclusion, CHRCH brings us a cover of my favourite Black Sabbath song The Wizard. All Hail the Black Goat!!!
We're taken from Vancouver, Canada to Moulin Rouge in France, and then back to Canada... but this time to CHRCH! Saskia Wedding joins us and gets Jewcy about her careers as a dancer, actor, and also strutting her stilettos into being a fitness instructor. She opens up about being a pilates, spin and barre teacher in the current landscape of the pandemic and pivoting from studio management to launching her own unique online platform CHRCH Fitness. This is the Thursday night lesson from our Fall Gospel Meeting. In this lesson, Donnie Rader discusses a question commonly asked of members of the church of Christ.
When troubles or disasters come, and we know they will, do we have to be uber-ministers? What I mean by that is, do was absolutely have to give an answer as to why the troubles have come to us? Or, is it better to keep silent, at least in the beginning? Particularly if it's our neighbor who is in pain, do we have to run in and be super Christian Ministers or is it OK to just be silent and listen? Also, since it's Trinity Sunday, we talked about a certain long and scary creed.
