It's time for another Life in the Fast Lane, and this one goes out to the Happy Creative... While discussing a deleted scene that was easily cut (and weirdly paced), Joe shares a very complex way to answer a reasonably easy-to-answer question posed in the deleted scene. We talk about the feud (?!) between Paul Walter Hauser and Vin Diesel before we Run the VIN to find another two edited posts (as we also find weirdness in his comments and find another new way he refers to the next movie). We read an email that makes us think about Better Luck Tomorrow in a deep way, we wonder if Slap Jack is secretly wealthy, and we find that Spy Racers has infected another victim's mind. Joey talks about Swan Lake. We look ahead to Episode #757 of this show. It's time for another Life in the Fast Lane, and since we're at the Demolition Derby, you better Fast X Your Belts! After breaking down a deleted/extended scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious, we run through a very light news day On the Streets, but find ourselves knee-deep in another (edited) installment of Running the Vin. We go overboard with audio drops and face an angry mob in our YouTube comments. Joe talks about going to Canada; Joey talks about going to the movie theater. It's time for another Life in the Fast Lane, and we have a conundrum on our hands: Tanner is Bilkins. Bilkins is Tanner. First, though, voting is now open for the 2 Fast 2 Forever Hall of Fame! Vote now. We'll wait. Done? Great! We break down the first deleted scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious and catch an error of unknown origin. We also talk about who Bilkins would have fallen in love with, if he knew Brian's experience first-hand. We add a new segment — Running the VIN — and cover more news, including Shark Week and NBCUniversal's Donna Langley weighing in on the future of the franchise. A very high-ranking government official (allegedly) comments on one of our YouTube videos. Joe talks about a zoo outpost, tacos, and board games. Joey talks about movies and stand-up comedy specials. In covering "a minute" without audio, we parse the credits order/character split and explore some notable names in the credits. We pivot to one of the most important On the Streets segments in months, including: rough production dates for Fast Xi (and where it will take place), why Universal is freaking out about the future of the franchise, the disaster of Dwayne Johnson's Red One, the announcement of Riddick: Furya, Vin Diesel as Kojak (?), the new Hollywood Drift rollercoaster, and Gibseyhana's hiring practices. Joe sets Vegas odds for the number of remaining F&F movies. We explore what degrees the family may have. Terra shares a heartwarming story about a stolen bicycle. Hold onto your life jackets, folks! I had the pleasure of chatting with Frank and Nick West of West Performance Marine, the dynamic duo tearing up the boat drag racing scene. In our whirlwind conversation, they peeled back the layers on their incredible journey from Pineville's 2019 underdogs to the top of the leaderboard. There's no shortage of excitement as they spill the details of their partnership with the ever-daring Bryan Jessen and the camaraderie that fuels this high-octane community. From the nuances of boat setup to the thrill of competition, we navigated the technical waters of what makes a boat slice through water like a hot knife through butter. Frank's wizardry in the art of boat tuning was on full display, explaining how a few tweaks here and there can make or break a racer's day on the water. We also welcomed the fresh talent, whose presence promises a surge in the sport's popularity and competitive stakes. It's a testament to the resilience and growth of a community anchored by a shared passion for speed and the roar of engines.Wrapping things up, we anchored our discussion in the importance of dedication and effort, qualities that shine bright in the sportsman class where the driver's skill takes center stage. The West brothers and I also dived into the essence of customer appreciation and the genuine connections that elevate a business from good to great. If you're seeking inspiration and a sense of kinship that transcends the racecourse, this episode is your front-row ticket to the action. Isaiah 48:1-141 “Cry aloud; do not hold back;  lift up your voice like a trumpet;declare to my people their transgression,  to the house of Jacob their sins.2 Yet they seek me daily  and delight to know my ways,as if they were a nation that did righteousness  and did not forsake the judgment of their God;they ask of me righteous judgments;  they delight to draw near to God.3 ‘Why have we fasted, and you see it not?  Why have we humbled ourselves, and you take no knowledge of it?'Behold, in the day of your fast you seek your own pleasure,  and oppress all your workers.4 Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight  and to hit with a wicked fist.Fasting like yours this day  will not make your voice to be heard on high.5 Is such the fast that I choose,  a day for a person to humble himself? Is it to bow down his head like a reed,  and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast,  and a day acceptable to the Lord?6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:  to loose the bonds of wickedness,  to undo the straps of the yoke,to let the oppressed go free,  and to break every yoke?7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry  and bring the homeless poor into your house;when you see the naked, to cover him,  and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,  and your healing shall spring up speedily;your righteousness shall go before you;  the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;  you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.'If you take away the yoke from your midst,  the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,10 if you pour yourself out for the hungry  and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness  and your gloom be as the noonday.11 And the Lord will guide you continually  and satisfy your desire in scorched places  and make your bones strong;and you shall be like a watered garden,  like a spring of water,  whose waters do not fail.12 And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;  you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;you shall be called the repairer of the breach,  the restorer of streets to dwell in.13 “If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath,  from doing your pleasure on my holy day,and call the Sabbath a delight  and the holy day of the Lord honorable;if you honor it, not going your own ways,  or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly;14 then you shall take delight in the Lord,  and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,  for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

(Hey Brian Rodriguez, if you're reading this, I hope it's okay that I used your trademarked word.) We kick things off by covering Minute 96 of 2 Fast 2 Furious, where the car is in the air! (But not yet on the boat.) We explore Carter Verone's bar setup, and we wonder: how is this movie going to wrap up in just four minutes? Joe shares an update on Turbos for Tots, and Joey shares a great F&F anecdote from Walt Hickey's Numlock News and Jeff Yang's new book The Golden Screen. We cover the second episode of Icons Unearthed, which is all about 2 Fast 2 Furious and features some absolutely wild connections to things we love. We open a great mailbag, which includes rankings, clarifications, justifications, misplaced confidence, wonderful fan art, and more. We close things out with a recent TV and movie roundup in Extracurricular Activities. Hour 1 - Mike Opelka in for Rich again. Is winking acceptable? For all the climate hysteria, there really haven't been any bad storms this hurricane season. Is Zeoli's pizza oven the cause of our climate crisis? Formula One racing in Vegas took a hit after a car blew up after race officials did not secure manhole covers to the ground. But they are partnering with Porsche and looking to develop an alternative fuel that isn't electric. All these celebrities are threatening to leave the U.S. if Trump is re-elected. Who cares? Snoop Dogg is giving up “smoke.” This is very much a marketing ploy for something marijuana knowing Snoop Daniel Turner, Director of Power the Future, joins the show to give us a breakdown of what actually happened at APEC this past week and the climate policies that will be adopted as a result of this meeting. The climate change system works the same as communism because the elite and powerful don't have to play the same rules as everybody else. Did China have to give up anything? No, Biden took all the blame for the “climate crisis” and let China off the hook. 23 of 25 of the most polluted cities in the world belong to China, while the other two are India's, so why are we taking all the blame and being the victim? Hour 2 - Kaitlyn Jenner is back in the news. Why? Well, she used a word online that is now frowned upon. But she spelled it wrong and the internet is letting her know. Michael Rapoport is in the news as well for saying he might vote for Donald Trump. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH Look at me! Where do we stand on self-checkout if you have over 20 items? Walmart and Costco are removing their self-scanners over backlash? Huh? Self Checkout discussion is hot as the phones blow up over the issue.  Target has rolled out Pride Santa and LGBTQ nutcrackers, just continuing to pander. Why? Santa is already for everybody on the Nice List! Anheuser Busch has fired another marketing executive after they still have not recovered from the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco. Teasing the coming hour. Hour 3: Drive @ 5 - Sergeant Betsy Smith of the National Police Association joins us to break down the history of the Thin Blue Line, the banning of it in Springfield Township and how that came to be, and other attack against the symbol across the nation. What will come of that? More on Sergeant Smith's background as well. The Mainstream Media is panicking as they have a floundering candidate with an even worse one waiting in the wings, so they have no choice but to turn up the hateful rhetoric. So Johnathan Karl is doing his part by releasing a book that has the sole intention of swaying voters away from Trump in 2024.  The Philadelphia Marathon will take place this weekend with a new non-binary category. How do you qualify for that? Mike is calling BS on CNN as they go after him ahead of the election next year. One of his former staffers says he skipped an evangelical campaign event in Iowa, but have they forgotten he had sister's funeral? Which Presidents have had encounters with UFOs?  Hour 4 - The Zeoli Show in-house economist Dr. EJ Antoni joins us to end the show and details how he's using the White House's own numbers to point out how poorly they handled the economy and the continued gaslighting of citizens that things aren't that bad. Terrible energy policies have crippled us but instead we bend the knee to foreign adversaries to pump more oil for us instead of doing it ourselves for cheaper. What is the ‘Death Cross'? Health insurance costs have “dropped” 35% over the last year? No way, find somebody who had their costs dropped at all this year. Donald Trump caused an uproar when he came to a UFC event at Madison Square Garden. Wrapping up early for Penn State basketball.

Mick Wall is one of rock music's greatest writers. From Kerrang! to Classic Rock and publications all around the world, Mick has been telling stories about the rock musicians we all love for decades and has written more than 20 books on legendary acts like Jimi Hendrixx, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden & more. Recently he decided to take on the task of one of the most successful US rock bands in history, the Eagles. The band have always been portrayed as country/rock superstars who were victims of great success, excess and infighting. Mick has a way of moving past all that to distill the real story of the band in the times in which they were formed, rose to the top and disintegrated in Life In The Fast Lane. The book is a great read and Mick offers some context of the Los Angeles the guys came out of - a post 60s, post Manson time where the American Dream was hanging on by a thread. Mick also spoke with us about some of the other superstars he's written about over the years like James Hetfield & Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Axl Rose (Guns N Roses), Steve Clark (Def Leppard) and more. Though some have found his take on certain artists to be harsh, Mick approaches his work not as a fan but as a writer whose only concern is that of the voyage of the reader. Mick Wall is one of the world's best-known rock writers and the author of over 25 internationally bestselling biographies and ghosted memoirs, including definitive titles on Led Zeppelin (When Giants Walked the Earth), Metallica (Enter Night), AC/DC (Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be), Black Sabbath (Symptom of the Universe), Lou Reed, The Doors (Love Becomes a Funeral Pyre), Foo Fighters, Lemmy and Guns N' Roses (Last of the Giants). During his long career in the music business, Mick worked with Dire Straits, Thin Lizzy, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Black Sabbath, The Damned, Willie Nelson, The Band, Kris Kristofferson, Motörhead, and many more. CardioNerds (Drs. Amit Goyal and Dan Ambinder) join Dr. Emily Lee (LAC+USC Internal medicine resident) and Dr. Charlie Lin (LAC+USC Cardiology fellow) as the discuss an important case of stimulant-related (methamphetamine) cardiovascular toxicity that manifested in right ventricular dysfunction due to severe pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Jonathan Davis (Director, Heart Failure Program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center) provides the ECPR for this episide. Audio editing by CardioNerds Academy Intern, student doctor Akiva Rosenzveig. With the ongoing methamphetamine epidemic, the incidence of stimulant-related cardiovascular toxicity continues to grow. We discuss the following case: A 36-year-old man was hospitalized for evaluation of dyspnea and volume overload in the setting of previously untreated, provoked deep venous thrombosis. Transthoracic echocardiogram revealed severe right ventricular dysfunction as well as signs of pressure and volume overload. Computed tomography demonstrated a prominent main pulmonary artery and ruled out pulmonary embolism. Right heart catheterization confirmed the presence of pre-capillary pulmonary arterial hypertension without demonstrable vasoreactivity. He was prescribed sildenafil to begin management of methamphetamine-associated cardiomyopathy and right ventricular dysfunction manifesting as severe pre-capillary pulmonary hypertension. CardioNerds is collaborating with Radcliffe Cardiology and US Cardiology Review journal (USC) for a ‘call for cases', with the intention to co-publish high impact cardiovascular case reports, subject to double-blind peer review. Case Reports that are accepted in USC journal and published as the version of record (VOR), will also be indexed in Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Case Media - stimulant-related (methamphetamine) cardiovascular toxicity Pearls - stimulant-related (methamphetamine) cardiovascular toxicity 1. Methamphetamine, and stimulants in general, can have a multitude of effects on the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Effects of methamphetamine are thought to be due to catecholamine toxicity with direct effects on cardiac and vascular tissues. Acutely, methamphetamine can cause vascular constriction and vasospasm, while chronic exposure is associated with endothelial damage. Over time, methamphetamine can cause pulmonary hypertension, atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, and dilated cardiomyopathy. 2. Methamphetamines are the second most commonly misused substances worldwide after opiates. Patients with methamphetamine-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) have more severe pulmonary vascular disease, more dilated and dysfunctional right ventricles, and worse prognoses when compared to patients with idiopathic PAH. Additionally, patients with methamphetamine-associated cardiomyopathy and PAH have significantly worse outcomes and prognoses when compared to those with structurally normal hearts without evidence of PAH. Management includes multidisciplinary support, complete cessation of methamphetamine use, and guideline-directed treatment of PAH. 3. The diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension (PH) begins with the history and physical, followed by confirmatory testing using echocardiography and invasive hemodynamics (right heart catheterization). Initial serological evaluation may include routine biochemical, hematologic, endocrine, hepatic, and infectious testing. Though PH is traditionally diagnosed and confirmed in a two-step, echocardiogram-followed-by-catheterization model, other diagnostics often include electrocardiography, blood gas analysis, spirometry, ventilation/perfusion assessment,
