Aleszea Blanche Germann is a determined and accomplished actor, model, and human rights activist. Aleszea models extensively in New York and LA, and has appeared on Girls, House of Cards, Billions and Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll. We talk about: Her fascinating immigration story, coming from Belarus to the United States Social Impact Storytelling in Virtual Reality Her story of becoming an undercover journalist with Project Veritas, an organization dedicated to exposing cases of corruption and power abuse, and became a spokesperson for an anti-human trafficking organization Fair Girls. In 2015, she founded her own production company, Bastet Films. While finding creative fulfillment, Aleszea was also in search of a way to combat corruption and begin her role as an activist. She trained as an undercover journalist with Project Veritas, an organization dedicated to exposing corruption and abuse of power. Perhaps her most personal activist effort to date, Aleszea wrote and produced her first short VR film in 2018, entitled Come Into Me. An interactive VR film about human trafficking in the United States, Come Into Me incorporates multiple visual perspectives and real testimonials from trafficking survivors and sex offenders as portions of the dialogue.

I’ve got a twofer for you this week with Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson, the writers of Come Into Me, debuting on March 14th from Black Mask Studios.  You may also recognize their names from The Dregs, also from Black Mask or Cable from Marvel Comics. Come Into Me is a creepy body horror comic that deals with social media and technology.  I read it a few weeks ago and it’s still haunting me.
