Set 25 years after the events of Terminator 2, Terminator: Dark Fate ignores the other Terminator sequels and wipes the slate clean for a fresh reboot of the Terminator franchise. Terminator: Dark Fate lost $130 million, but that wasn't enough to keep the Lodge's Terminator freaks away from seeing Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger kick butt one last time. Director Tim Miller and producer James Cameron follow the basic Terminator 2 blueprint, and it's probably safe to say this puts a nail in the coffin on the Terminator franchise... particularly when Arnold sorrowfully says, "I won't be back." This box office nuclear bomb also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, and Gabriel Luna.
This episode Reggie, The Reel Critic, reviews Ford v Ferrari. Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in FORD v FERRARI, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966. Reggie also talks about Director Tim Miller who directed Terminator Dark Fate and his feud with James Cameron as well as his problems with Ryan Reynolds.

1991's "Terminator: Judgement Day" is finally getting a proper sequel in the highly anticipated "Terminator: Dark Fate," and my guest for Episode 10 of The Fourth Wall is the film's director Tim Miller. Tim has become somewhat of a rising star given the breakout success of 2016's "Deadpool." While the filmmaker sadly departed the sequel due to creative differences (see Tim's original plan for "Deadpool 2"), a new opportunity arose in the form revamping the Terminator franchise. A veteran of the visual effects industry, Tim became acquainted with James Cameron while Blur Studio (Tim's visual effects, animation, and design company) completed work on "Avatar." From there, and with the help of several abysmal Terminator sequels, the cogs began to turn, and the notion of a proper sequel to "T2" started becoming a reality. It's easy for many filmmakers early in their career to buy into their own hype (especially coming off of one of the most profitable R rated films of all time), however, with Tim the idea of openness and collaboration is something he very much encourages and stems from the environment he's fostered at Blur. During our conversation, Tim's desire to genuinely make a good movie that audiences will not only enjoy but that he himself is proud of became apparent, and many of "Dark Fate's" key contributions came from members of the cast to which Miller praised to no end. We also discussed the film's prominent Latinx representation, working with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, how Hamilton wanted to go even darker with Sarah Conner this go around, emerging filmmaking technologies that excite Tim the most, and much more. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theplaylist/message

The movie that everybody is talking about... the violent, crude, and fourth-wall-breaking Merc with a Mouth... the eighth instalment in the X-Men film series... Deadpool! Director Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds bring us a Wade Wilson on the big screen in a way he should have been portrayed years ago. But are we still getting a good movie? Are we talking more comedy or superhero epic? Is Deadpool a mutant and where does he fit in with the X-Men timeline? But the big question - who is Negasonic Teenage Warhead!?

Director Tim Miller and producer Simon Kinberg tell us how Deadpool went from being almost dead at Fox to an R-rated box office sensation. And as for the leaked test footage that made fans go wild and got the movie made? Miller swears it wasn't him.
Oh, hello there. Perhaps you're familiar with my work; taco truck drag racer, international assassin, the asshole who went all Ken from Street Fighter on Kitty Pryde that one time. La piscina de la Muerte! The Pool of The Death! Or as the cover to my 1998 solo rap album reads, "$cams." But I, Deadpool, am not here to sell you on the several thousand unsold copies of "The Sun Soaked Streets of LA Through the Prism of A Genetically Altered Canadian: An Epic Acapella Rap," only 9.99. No! I'm here to tell you folks about my favorite podcast(right behind Nordic Food Lab), and the episode they've done all about yours truly! The BOP Crew is giving their Maximum Effort(copyright me) to talk about DEADPOOL: The Motion Picture. You know, the newest movie by the company who tried to kill me to the best of their ability. But like tuna, you can't rub me out despite my pasty taste. Anyways. They discuss everything, from their favorite jokes, how sexy and talented Director Tim Miller is(personal friend and cuddle buddy), to the long and arduous 10 year journey it took for my profanity laden adventures to hit the silver screen. Also, that one time Ryan Reynolds and I tried to transport Coors into Georgia. Enjoy! Tickle Deadpool's funny bone(among other things) by downloading the episode here! Time to Make the Chimi-F#*king-changas So the comic book movie we have all been waiting for has arrived! Deadpool hit theaters on February 12th, marking the second time the Merc with a Mouth has graced the silver screen… but we can forget that first time… When Deapool first appeared in Wolverine: Origins, not has a character EVER been done so wrong. How can you have the character Deadpool, then sew his mouth shut? HOW!?! … actually on second thought, let’s forget that first time… However, from the movie that shall not be named, we did get to see a small glimpse of Ryan Reynolds playing Wade Wilson, bad ass merc, for a brief sceen at the beginning of the movie. That apparently enough for the the Internet (and Reynolds himself). Since then fanboys and fangirls everywhere have been lobbying for a true adaptation of the fan favorite character. Fast forward about seven years and some leaked footage later and we get a new R-Rated Deadpool movie for the adult masses! Director Tim Miller really knocked this movie out of the park, taking a $58 million budget and turning it, as of posting, a $135 million opening weekend. If you are counting that is...
