May 31, 2026 Most people think the Gospel is about becoming a better person, but Ephesians 2 tells a much deeper story. Paul reminds us that sin doesn't just wound us, it leaves us spiritually dead and unable to save ourselves. Yet in the middle of humanity's worst news come two of the most hope-filled words in Scripture: “But God.” This message is about the God who meets us with mercy, raises us to new life through Jesus, and transforms us into His masterpiece filled with purpose and grace. About this Sermon Series: God has always had a plan. The book of Ephesians reveals the incredible story of God's plan to bring salvation to all people through Jesus Christ and unite them into one family. In this 13-week series, we'll discover what it means to live with purpose as people who have been chosen, redeemed, and called by God. Along the way, we'll explore how the Holy Spirit transforms our everyday relationships—with family, friends, the Church, and the world around us. Ephesians is an invitation to step into God's greater story and live the kind of life we were created for.

May 17, 2026 Before the foundation of the world, God saw us, loved us, and chose us to be part of His family through Jesus. Our salvation is not something we could ever earn or achieve on our own—it is the beautiful gift of God's grace, poured out through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. And God didn't leave us wondering if we truly belong to Him; He gave us the Holy Spirit as His promise and guarantee that we are His now and forever. In light of all He has done, our hearts can't help but respond with worship, gratitude, and lives that bring Him praise. About this Sermon Series God has always had a plan. May 10, 2026 Lasting personal change and spiritual growth come from staying deeply connected to Jesus, the “true vine.” As God lovingly prunes harmful patterns and shapes our thoughts, we are called to actively examine the “fruit” of our lives—our behaviors, words, and attitudes—and allow His Spirit to transform us from the inside out. Through consistent spiritual practices and reliance on God as the source of life, believers can experience real change, becoming healthier, more Christlike, and fruitful in their relationships. About this Sermon Series: What if the God you've heard about is more personal, more present, and more powerful than you've experienced? In this 6-week series, we'll explore the “I AM” statements found throughout Scripture—words God uses to reveal His character, His heart, and His invitation into relationship. These statements aren't just descriptions—they're declarations of who God is for us. He is not distant or abstract. He is near, knowable, and actively at work in our lives. Each week, we'll uncover a different aspect of His identity: the Bread that satisfies, the Light that reveals, the Shepherd who leads, the Resurrection who brings life, the Way who guides, and the Vine who sustains. Along the way, we'll wrestle with what it means to move beyond knowing about God to truly knowing Him—personally, deeply, and authentically. This series is an invitation to trade shallow familiarity for real intimacy… to encounter the living God, not as a concept, but as a Person.
May 11, 2026 In Episode 2 of Beyond Sunday, the Pastors from Newbreak Church reflect on the powerful “I Am” statements of Jesus from the Gospel of John and what they reveal about His identity, character, and invitation to trust Him more deeply. The conversation gets personal as the hosts talk honestly about anxiety, control, burnout, suffering, and the daily challenge of surrendering things to God. They explore how Jesus meets people not through perfection or appearances, but through humility, grace, and transformation. The episode also features an unforgettable baptism testimony from Caesar, a Marine officer who shares how hitting rock bottom led him to fully surrender his life to Christ. His vulnerable story becomes a moving reminder that God can redeem anyone's story. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, uncertain, or spiritually hungry, this episode offers encouragement, honesty, and hope for what it looks like to follow Jesus beyond Sunday. April 19, 2026 Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world,” revealing that He alone can expose darkness and lead us into true life. Darkness is not only around us but often hidden within us through pain, sin, shame, and the things we try to conceal. Yet instead of condemnation, Jesus offers forgiveness, healing, and the freedom to walk openly in His light. As we follow Him daily, His light transforms us and begins to shine through us into the lives of others.

April 12, 2026 Jesus declares that He is the “bread of life,” revealing that while we naturally chase things we believe will satisfy us, nothing in this world truly meets our deepest needs. April 1, 2026 After a powerful 13-week journey through the book of Acts, our pastors sit down for a real and honest conversation about what God revealed through the series and how it impacts our lives today. In this episode of Beyond Sunday, we reflect on the cost of following Jesus, the role of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives, and what it looks like to boldly live out our faith beyond just attending church. We also answer questions, share stories of life change, and talk through moments in Acts we didn't get to cover on Sundays. Our hope is to give you practical encouragement and resources to continue growing in your faith all week long—not just on Sundays. About this Conversation The Book of Acts reveals how the risen Jesus continues His mission through the Holy Spirit, empowering ordinary believers to become bold witnesses who proclaim the gospel, perform Spirit-led works, and build unified, Christ-centered communities. From the early church in Jerusalem to the spread of the message to all nations, the series emphasizes that God works through surrendered, available people—often through unexpected moments—to bring transformation, calling believers to live in obedience, rely on the Spirit's power, pursue community, and continually point others to Jesus as the true source of healing, hope, and salvation. About this Sermon Series: The book of Acts tells the story of how the exalted Christ sends His Spirit to empower His people to continue His work in the world. Through the Spirit's power, ordinary believers boldly proclaim the gospel, witness miraculous works, and form vibrant communities that embody God's welcome to all people. Acts traces how the church's witness, energized by the Spirit, extends from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, revealing Christ's ongoing work through His people and the Spirit's leading in every new challenge and opportunity.

March 29, 2026 As we close out the book of Acts, this message challenges us to move beyond a strong start in faith and instead live a fully surrendered life to Jesus. Looking at Paul's farewell in Acts 20, we see a powerful example of serving with humility and courage, continually turning back to God, and following the Holy Spirit with obedience—even when it's difficult. A surrendered life means letting go of comfort and pride so we can fully trust God's will and direction. Ultimately, this passage calls us to faithfully persevere to the end, knowing that a life fully given to Jesus is the only one that truly satisfies. Jaxon Smith-Njigba just became the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history at $42.15M per year—but the real story is how the Seattle Seahawks made it work. Richard Sherman breaks down why the deal is effectively closer to $32M annually, how John Schneider cleared cap space by moving on from DK Metcalf, Kenneth Walker III, Boye Mafe, and Coby Bryant, and what it means for paying stars like Devon Witherspoon next. What happens when a “slot receiver” becomes Offensive Player of the Year and a Super Bowl champion? Sherman explains why expectations change—and why JSN’s mindset (“What’s better than one Super Bowl? Two”) justifies the price. Plus, why role players like Jake Bobo still matter in a star-heavy locker room, how Mike Macdonald’s system and Sam Darnold’s playoff form give Seattle real dynasty potential, and why getting ahead of the market with Witherspoon could be the next move. We also break down the San Francisco 49ers’ cap strategy with Trent Williams, why this is more about flexibility than conflict, and how they’re trying to avoid future dead money. Then: Team USA flag football dominates NFL talent—why it’s a completely different game, which NFL players could actually thrive in the Olympics, and what Odell Beckham Jr. still brings as a veteran option. Finally, Sherman reacts to his Emmy nomination. All lines are provided by Hard Rock Bet. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Bob and Dave discuss whether the Seahawks’ extension of Jaxon Smith-Njigba puts more pressure on the team to get a deal done with Devon Witherspoon, they break down why the Seahawks might want to extend Sam Darnold before the price goes up, they look at what the future holds for some of the Mariners younger starting pitchers, and they discuss how Dan Wilson has changed the Mariners’ culture.
Headlines and HUGH MILLEN If Hugh could only have one… a great wide receiver or a great right tackle? Is JSN worth the contract the Seahawks just gave him? What is it that sets him apart? The Seahawks ended up beating the Jaguars offer for Bobo, what does it mean for them to keep him here in Seattle? Next up, they'll have to pay Witherspoon; how will these big contracts affect what happens with Darnold next year? :30- We are just TWO DAYS away from the start of the 2026 Mariners season! The rotation is out; how do we feel about it? Does the order really matter though? There's a legitimate debate that any one of these guys could be #1. :45- The NBA Board of Governors meets starting today and we could find out this afternoon if the 1st vote for NBA expansion is approved, but it seems that most people (not everyone) feel that this is a formality and Adam Silver wouldn't be putting this out there if he didn't have the votes. The next step will be the tougher part, but even that has a lot of people optimistic about the Sonics return.

It was a summer morning in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2003. A woman glanced out her window and saw a man standing in her backyard. He was bundling her underwear into a pillowcase. Months later, that same woman would fail to show up for work. And when police forced their way into her home, they would discover that the system meant to protect her had failed in the worst way possible.SPONSORS -Hero Bread: This year, hit your goals without giving up your favourite bready dishes. Before the Constitution was written, John Witherspoon was shaping the minds that would build it. Who was John Witherspoon and how did he influence James Madison and the Constitution? Discover how this forgotten Founder helped define America's moral and constitutional DNA, and taught a Republic how to think. This episode of the America's Founding Series explores how John Witherspoon's philosophy of "self-evident truths," moral realism, and human nature influenced James Madison and the structure of the United States Constitution. At a time when civilizational seriousness feels in short supply, Witherspoon's ideas about education, virtue, and limited government reveal why the survival of a republic begins in the classroom. It's time for a MATA moment – Make Americans Think Again – by looking at the Witherspoon model that we've abandoned. What You'll Learn Why John Witherspoon's teachings shaped James Madison and Federalist 51 The true meaning of "self-evident truths" in the Declaration of Independence How Scottish Common Sense philosophy grounded America's natural rights framework Why the doctrine of human fallibility led to checks and balances What modern leadership can learn from Witherspoon's model of education and statesmanship If the West is struggling with strategic and moral drift, the solution may lie in rediscovering the intellectual foundation laid by John Witherspoon.
The Seattle Seahawks are now two-time Super Bowl Champions and it still feels surreal. We're continuing the celebration with a full walkthrough of the win over New England and a preview of some of the major offseason topics. Seattle set the tone early, flipped field position through elite special teams, and leaned on a dominant defense that consistently harassed Drake Maye. Kenneth Walker kicked off his campaign for MVP early and the offensive line established their physicality on the first play of the game. Some outstanding plays by the Patriots defense kept Seattle out of the end zone in the first half, but Jason Myers was still able to help build a two-score cushion going into the half. The defense continued to overwhelm New England in the third quarter and held them scoreless. The contributions throughout the game included sacks by Devon Witherspoon, Byron Murphy, Derick Hall and rookie Rylie Mills. As Maye continued to get rattled, it led to key turnovers. Julian Love called his own interception as we saw in the mid'd up version of the Super Bowl. Byron Murphy recovered a fumble that led to the Seahawks only offensive touchdown by AJ Barner, and a Witherspoon pressure gave Uchenna Nwosu a score to match the Seahawks offensive touchdown output. We tackle the debate around Sam Darnold's performance—praised for poise against pressure and also criticized for a missed end-zone throw and a completion percentage that was among his lowest of the season. Offseason questions emerge along the way. How does Seattle sustain a title run? How should they handle some key free agents like Josh Jobe and Tariq Woolen? Do they need to approaches their big-money extensions for JSN and Witherspoon before making some of the more difficult decisions. Coaching and organizational themes surface too, from Mike McDonald's game planning and halftime adjustments to the team's continuity of culture. The episode closes with shout-outs to our members of the flock, listener emails, parade moments, and a nod to Jody Allen as the steady hand atop a championship organization.
