In his first national interview since becoming Troy's new leader, Coach Newell shares the difficulty of his decision to leave Auburn-Montgomery and how his family's support led him to jump. Coach also reflects on his time at AUM, the keys to his success, and what Troy fans can expect from their program in the coming seasons.   Eric Lopez then chats with Victor about some more schools going to DII for their new head coaches, like South Dakota State and Akron, and if we'll see more of this down the road. We also have some words for the older FAU alumni and fans who were unhappy about the Owls' new hire in Jordan Clark plus, we wonder how Victor still has a voice after all the walk-offs he saw this weekend in Viera with the WPF.

After taking the week off (well, at least Eric had the week off), the boys are back with a new edition of In The Circle. There was plenty of movement in the transfer portal, which led off the show. The guys look at some of the new landing spots for familiar faces, some SEC powers boosting up their rosters in the process, and a couple non-Power five names in the Portal to keep your eye on.  One person who had to navigate through the Portal recently joined Eric Lopez, UCF pitcher Kama Woodall. In the first of a two-part chat, Kama shares her journey, which started at NC State and ended up with her in Orlando as part of the Knights' historic 2022 season. She shares her trip to Orlando, her perspective on being in the Portal on two separate occasions, being teammates with Gianna Mancha, and her gusty 11-inning performance versus Michigan in the Orlando Regional.  We wrap up this episode by breaking down Jocelyn Alo's move to the WPF, her impact on the sport of softball, and how both the WPF and Athletes Unlimited can help the sport grow with more opportunities.
