Gospel installment- 09-01-2024--Message title- 1.Why does He still find fault----Text- Romans 9 vs 14-23--1..God's offense in Romans 9 continues unabated..--2..Who makes the difference between saved and unsaved----3..Many in the professing church world would argue and say, it is their decision that made the difference for them..--4..And this saying, they were able to figure out Jesus by themselves and made the vote that changed the course of their destiny, which thing other people failed to do..--5..And this of course is false... God is going to continue His defense and say, He alone is the Potter who made the determination of salvation and condemnation by fashioning from the same lump of clay vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor..--6..Same lump of clay is a carryover from the earlier argument about Jacob and Esau being twins, from the same womb and father.. And that saying, the DIFFERENCE MAKER in this matter is God's sovereign will and purpose, not what man do or don't do.. --7..And that means, none can change themselves from being a vessel of dishonor to becoming a vessel of honor or vice versa -Wheat remains wheat and tares, tares as goats remain goats and never become sheep- .. God eternally cast this matter in stone, hence the objections...--7..So, if that is what He did and left man no choice, why does He still find fault----8..Very goood question, but God answers it with a rebuke..-Rom 9-20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God-- Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus-----9..God says, what qualifications do you have to argue against His decrees----And it is free-

église AB Lausanne ; KJV Deuteronomy 7 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. ...

With Philippians 4:15-23, we bring the book of Philippians to a close. In these verses, the Apostle Paul writes his acknowledgement of the gifts and support he received from these believers in Philippi. Dr. Mitchell shares with us the blessedness of giving to God. In your prayer for us, the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast ministry is truly grateful for you who are blessed with this teaching of the Word of God. We too are blessed by you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Paul writes, verse 17, how he sought for the fruit that would abound in glory to the account of giver…his true motive. Even now God supplies the need of the one who gives. Here is Dr. Mitchell, Philippians 4 verse 15. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/unchanging-word/message
Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:14-22 Paul has been writing about the issue of eating food that had been offered to idols and that topic will have taken up three chapters (chs. 8-10) before he is done. In today's passage he plainly writes, "Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry" (1 Cor 10:14). 1 Corinthians 10:14-22 is about idolatry. Idolatry comes in many forms. Calvin calls human nature an 'idol factory.' The essence of sin is an attitude that gives glory to something other than God, putting that something (or someone) in His place. To belittle God is to scorn His glory. This first command reminds us of who God is and of who we are. It teaches us to bow before the Almighty in adoration, trust, thanksgiving, and homage. This passage ends with a reference to the jealousy of God … "Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy?" (1 Cor 10:22). When the Bible speaks of God being a jealous God (Nah 1:2; Exod 34:14) we must not think of the kind of human jealousy that is borne out of insecurity, mistrust, and selfishness. God's jealousy is His altogether appropriate desire for His creation to honor Him as God and not replace Him with lesser things. The first commandment forbids us to have any other god before YHWH. The positive implications of this command is that we acknowledge and worship Him … esteeming, honoring, loving, delighting in, obeying, calling on, pursuing Him … with all our might, while we live.
When we pray for others, we want them to receive the favor of God. But what if His favor comes in a way we did not expect? Come and join us in Season 4, Episode 14, and discover how God grants favor. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/vernita-s/message

“God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us!” As I prepared to do today's chat, the old invitation hymn “Trust and Obey” came to my mind. The first verse and chorus goes like this: “When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” I wish we had space to do all the verses of this wonderful hymn with its powerful message. This hymn is about the truth that we find in Psalm 67. Matter of fact the entire Bible from cover to cover, teaches us this foundational principle. And this truth and principle is, that when we truly trust the Lord and obey His precepts and commandments, we will find our greatest satisfaction. Someone said, “God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him”. To be blessed by the LORD is to find true happiness! Remember the “Beatitudes” in Matthew 5:1-12! Some people's happiness is totally dependent upon “happenings”. In other words, what happens around them determines whether or not they are happy. If things are going well their way, then they are feeling happy. But if circumstances are going bad and they are experiencing some sort or suffering, then they are sad and miserable. The believers who love the Lord and desire to obey Him and surrender their lives to Him, as they live by His truths and principles, will find like the Apostle Paul, “In whatever state they are in, they are content” (Philippians 4:11-13). They are satisfied in whatever circumstance they find themselves in, because their “happiness” comes from their intimate relationship and fellowship with the Lord! Psalm 67:6-7 closes with the promise that when God's people are praising and blessing the Lord, He will make the earth fruitful. What does the harvest have to do with the conversion of the nations, of the world? The phrase "Then the land shall yield her increase" (v. 6) is a quotation from Leviticus 26:3-4: “If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit”. Leviticus 26 is a summary of God's covenant with Israel along with Deuteronomy 28-30. God made it clear that His blessing on the land depended on Israel's obedience to His law (Lev. 26:1-13). The blessings He would send Israel would be a witness to the pagan nations that Jehovah alone is the true and living God, and this would give the Jews opportunity to share the Word with them. “The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you”. (Deuteronomy 28:8-10). But if Israel disobeyed the Lord, He would withhold the rain and their fields would yield no harvest (Lev. 26:14-39), and this would put Israel to shame before the Gentile nations (Jer. 33:1-9; Joel 2:17-19; Deut. 9:26-29). Why would "all the ends of the earth" fear a God who didn't provide food for His own people? The application to the church today is obvious: as we obey the Lord, pray and trust Him, He provides what we need, and the unsaved around us see that He cares for us. This gives us opportunity to tell them about Jesus. While verse 6 speaks of a literal harvest, it also reminds us of the "spiritual harvest" that comes as we witness for the Lord (John 4:34-38). God blesses the nations through His people Israel and through His church, and all the nations should trust Him, obey Him, and fear Him. Praise the Lord! God bless!

Welcome to Grace in Focus radio. Today, Bob Wilkin and Ken Yates answer a question about Revelation 22:19: What does it mean that “God will take away someone's part out of the Book of Life” or the “Tree of Life?” Is this a reference to eternal salvation or to rewards? If you've wondered about this,
