Rohan Naidu discusses the groundbreaking discovery of "black hole stars" at cosmic dawn using the James Webb Space Telescope. Naidu explains that these infant objects appear as mysterious "little red dots" but possess hybrid properties of both highly luminous black holes and stars. He explains how a young black hole surrounded by dense hydrogen gas absorbs blue and green light, creating a signature "Balmer break" resembling the star Vega. Naidu outlines future research, including finding atmospheric chemical fingerprints like water, and using the newly proposed Celestemission alongside ground telescopes to directly image swirling gas feeding these infant black holes. (This podcast was previously published on September 23, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... God has given to each of us an assignment to fulfill HIS purpose while we live on this earth. In the Old Testament, God gave portions of lands to HIS people but they had to go up and possess that land though God had given it to them. Deuteronomy 1 21 Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

Possess. Obey. Prepare. | Standalone Sermon August 2, 2026 Message by Kyle Goen [Riverdale Campus Pastor] Scripture References & Sermon Points Joshua 1:1-11 • Possess the Place • Obey the Book • Prepare the People
For nearly eight years, this podcast has been guided by one simple promise: I only offer the truth. But what happens when the very meaning of "truth" begins to change? In this deeply personal and philosophical episode, Kevin invites listeners into the most profound investigation he has ever shared—not an exploration of what to believe, but of whether belief itself can ever reveal what is ultimately true. This isn't a conversation about adopting another philosophy, joining another movement, or improving yourself. It's an invitation to question everything you have assumed about who you are and the world you inhabit. Most of us spend our lives searching for certainty. We chase success, relationships, confidence, purpose, and even spirituality, believing that fulfillment lies just beyond the next achievement. Yet every destination gives way to another horizon, every answer creates another question, and every identity eventually changes. What if the problem isn't that you haven't found enough answers? What if the problem is believing that truth can be possessed at all?Drawing from years of coaching, direct inquiry, and self-investigation, Kevin explores the difference between survival and truth, between belief and direct experience, and between the constantly changing contents of the mind and the awareness that witnesses them. Along the way, he challenges listeners to investigate some of the deepest assumptions we carry about identity, thought, memory, religion, politics, success, failure, and even the separate self we spend our lives trying to improve.Rather than offering conclusions, this episode offers questions - questions designed not to strengthen the ego but to expose it. If thoughts arise on their own, are you the thinker? If emotions come and go, are you your emotions? If every role, belief, opinion, and memory changes over time, what is it that has remained present through every experience of your life? This conversation moves beyond self-improvement into self-inquiry. It examines the possibility that awareness itself is the only constant in experience, and that the peace we seek has never been waiting in the future but has always been quietly present beneath the endless movement of thought.Whether you've been listening since the early days of The Alpha Male Coach or you've recently discovered this work, this episode represents a significant evolution in the journey - from becoming a better version of yourself to questioning whether the self you have been trying to perfect exists in the way you imagine it does. This isn't an episode to consume quickly. It's one to revisit, reflect upon, and investigate in your own direct experience. You are not asked to agree with anything you hear. In fact, you're encouraged not to. Instead, you're invited to look for yourself with complete honesty.Because truth doesn't require belief. It doesn't need defending. It has nothing to fear from inquiry. And perhaps what remains when every belief, identity, and certainty has been questioned is not something new to discover - but something that has been present all along. If you're willing to trade certainty for investigation and conclusions for direct experience, this conversation may become one of the most important inquiries you've ever undertaken.
Edmund Fitton-Brown. The long-standing truce between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia has unraveled as the group attempts to break a decade-long blockade. Edmund Fitton-Brown explains the Houthis now control major Yemeni state organs and possess the capability to strike deep into Saudi territory. While air campaigns have hurt the group, they remain difficult to deter because they view the suffering of the Yemeni people as a badge of martyrdom. (11)1962

We're so glad you are here! Thanks for checking out Sunday's message!-- SUNDAY'S NOTES --We are called to conquer, not coexist, with anything that opposes God's will and His Kingdom.Any foe you don't fight and finish may one day finish you.Joshua was now old, advanced in age, and the LORD said to him, “You have become old, advanced in age, but a great deal of the land remains to be possessed.” Joshua 13:1 CSB Sunday's victories mean little if they don't lead to possessing new spiritual territory in our everyday lives. I myself will drive them out before the People of Israel. All you have to do is allot this land to Israel as an inheritance, as I have instructed you. Joshua 13:6 MSG A delegation from the tribe of Judah, led by Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, came to Joshua at Gilgal. Caleb said to Joshua, “Remember what the LORD said to Moses, the man of God, about you and me when we were at Kadesh-barnea. Joshua 14:6 NLT What do you do, what kind of faith do you have, when you are at a personal Kadesh-Barnea?None of the people who have seen my glory and the signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tested me these ten times and have not obeyed my voice, shall see the land that I swore to give to their ancestors; none of those who despised me shall see it. But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me wholeheartedly, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it. Numbers 14:24 NRSVThe closer you are to the Promise Keeper, the greater your faith to believe and possess His promises.I was forty years old when Moses, the servant of the LORD, sent me from Kadesh-barnea to explore the land of Canaan. I returned and gave an honest report, but my brothers who went with me frightened the people from entering the Promised Land. For my part, I wholeheartedly followed the LORD my God. So that day Moses solemnly promised me, ‘The land of Canaan on which you were just walking will be your grant of land and that of your descendants forever, because you wholeheartedly followed the LORD my God.' Joshua 14:7-9 NLTWholehearted, faith-filled following is the only way to walk into and posses the Promise Land God has for you. Now, as you can see, the LORD has kept me alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise, even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. Joshua 14:10-11 NLTFaithfully follow and work while you wait, and you'll discover the real reward was in following Jesus all along. Now give me this hill country that the LORD promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.” Joshua 14:12 NIVFaith doesn't minimize but rather right-sizes the enemy in comparison to God and the power of His promise. So Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave Hebron to him as his portion of land. Hebron still belongs to the descendants of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite because he wholeheartedly followed the LORD, the God of Israel. (Previously Hebron had been called Kiriath-arba. It had been named after Arba, a great hero of the descendants of Anak.) And the land had rest from war. Joshua 14:13-15 NLTCaleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai. Joshua 15:14 CSB There is no giant capable of keeping you from experiencing God's goodness and favor in your life. -------------------------------------------------Download the 828 Church app!To view our latest e-newsletter, the Midweek Momentum, and subscribe to our weekly updates, go here! https://linktr.ee/828church

In this episode, we begin our summer book study on Friendship in the Lord by Fr. Paul Hinnebusch, OP. We focus on the foreword and prologue and reflect on the difference between prudence and fear, the ways we self-protect in relationships, and our longing for authentic communion. We also talk about what it means to love without possessing, how to receive others as a gift, and why friendship is a foretaste of heaven. Other Resources Mentioned: Friendship in the Lord Study Webpage Small Group Discussion Guide Announcement: If you'd like a copy of Friendship in the Lord, you can buy your copy from Ave Maria Press (or Amazon). Journal Questions: How do I self protect and hide myself in my relationships? When have I felt embarrassed by my own need for friendship? Do I allow people to be free in my relationships? How has a friend failed me and how have I failed a friend? Discussion Questions: How do you define good friendship? How have your friendships brought you closer to the Lord? How is God inviting you to bring your relationships into closer communion with God? When have you experienced possessiveness in your friendships? What hopes and desires do I have for my friendships? Quotes to Ponder: "A true friend is a sort of icon of God, an other through whom the Lord's kindness and mercy shine in a manner that binds up and anoints our brokenness." (Forward to Friendship in the Lord, Fr. John Burns, xv) "As Fr. Hinnebusch says so well, "What a Christian friend wants above all else for the loved one is his or her communion with the Lord. The one I love, my wife, my husband, my friend, belongs first of all to the Lord. And in that sense, I am only the friend of the Bridegroom. He alone is true Spouse of each and every human heart. He must increase, while I must decrease."" (Forward to Friendship in the Lord, xvii) "A friendship is two lives joined in love and lived as one. But friendship in the Lord is never two people closed in upon themselves. Each of the friends is fully open to the Lord and open to other friends in such a way that the friendship is always part of a larger community. The Christian community is a cluster of many friendships knit together." (Preface to Friendship in the Lord, xix) Scripture for Lectio: "Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to dismiss her quietly. But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: "Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means, "God is with us." When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife, but had no marital relations with her until she had borne a son; and he named him Jesus." “The Ultimate Refuge: Praying to Know What We Already Possess”No More Fear - Living Life With a Living SaviorEphesians 1:15-23We live in a world filled with fear—fear for our kids and marriages, fear of sickness and job loss, fear of the future and the headlines, even fear of death itself. Many people feel trapped by these fears, either trying to control everything around them or resigning themselves to the thought, “That's just how I am.”But the resurrection of Jesus speaks directly into those fears. In this series, we will explore what it means to live life in light of a living Savior. If Christ had not been raised, many of our fears would be completely justified. But because the tomb is empty and Jesus is alive, everything has changed. His resurrection gives us a new foundation for our faith, a new identity as His people, and a new way to face the fears that shape our lives.Again and again, we can return to this central truth: because Jesus is alive, fear does not have the final word. Through the power of the resurrection, we can move from being gripped by fear to being grounded in the perfect love of a risen Savior.

“Can humans possess one another?” This question opens a discussion on the nature of influence and control, including the implications of brainwashing techniques. Additionally, the episode addresses what happens to souls in purgatory at the end of the world and whether it’s morally acceptable to seek the identity of a ghost that may be trying to communicate. Other intriguing topics include the concept of fallen guardian angels and their replacements. Join the Catholic Answers Live Club Newsletter Invite our apologists to speak at your parish! Visit Catholicanswersspeakers.com Questions Covered: 03:40 – can human beings possess one another? For example: would brainwashing techniques done by the CIA and other government agencies with the use of LSD and other mind-altering drugs count as possession? My understanding is that the subject's personality is changed, and they become very influenceable. Is this a form of possession by humans? 20:07 – My 9-year-old son loves listening to your show. He is wondering if you could shed any light on what might happen to the souls in purgatory when the end of the world comes. Do they get forcibly zapped through the rest of their purification process? 33:21 – If you have good reason to believe a ghost in purgatory is trying to get your attention, is it morally okay to ask them to reveal their identity? Context: a few years ago I was home alone with my newborn daughter on All Souls Day and heard repeated loud rattling sounds coming from the kitchen. The baby began screaming. I calmly walked out and said, “Whoever is bothering my baby, go away.” The rattling stopped and I have never heard it since. I have had Mass said for the soul, and also for one person I suspect it might have been, but I am not sure. Is it forbidden to ask for such knowledge or should I be content to wait? 44:37 – Are there fallen guardian angels, if so do we get a replacement if our intended guardian angel fell?
Is there one giant spirit of Leviathan demonizing thousands of people simultaneously or is something else going on? The answer cuts deeper than spiritual warfare. It goes straight to the nature of God.The body of Christ has a problem with demon taxonomy. On one end, cessationists deny the category entirely. On the other, some corners of charismatic practice have quietly handed evil spirits divine attributes they were never meant to have, treating Leviathan or Jezebel as omnipresent cosmic forces saturating the earth. Neither position is biblical. And the confusion isn't just theoretical. It shapes how people pray, how pastors minister, and how the church understands the very nature of God.Join Joshua Lewis, Michael Rowntree, and Michael Miller as they work through the biblical catalog of evil spirits and make the case that demons are kinds, not singular entities. They also tackle the deliverance question head-on: is naming demons in ministry Gnostic secret knowledge, or is it something more like Adam naming the animals, an exercise of discernment and authority? If you're looking for a biblically-serious review on demon taxonomy, this episode is for you.0:00 – Introduction7:09 – Demon Taxonomy Overview15:18 – Effects Match Names19:50 – Jezebel Spirit Defined27:06 – Naming Demons, Authority39:28 – One Spirit or Many?43:54 – God's Omnipresence Only46:43 – Speculative: Demonic BreathINTRO TO DELIVERANCE MINISTRY:https://www.theremnantradio.com/intro-to-deliverance-ministrySubscribe to The Remnant Radio newsletter and receive our FREE introduction to spiritual gifts eBook.
