This week, we return to the Chuck Season 5 Bonus Features and, once again, get emotional, meta, and “intellectual.” Chris needs Josh Schwartz's attention and Erin just needs her coffee as our hosts discuss Doc Ock Casey across the multiverse, whether Jim Halpert has his life together more than Chuck, and Jeffster's German tour lineup. Plus: our hosts share what they hope happens to the friends and members of Team Bartowski after the final credits roll. No need to dust off your DVD player, we've got you covered!* *This episode brought to you by Big Mike's Furniture and “Kirby Has A Gun,” coming to Nintendo Switch this April! The pressure is on. With Valentine's Day less than three weeks away it may be time to start planning. The DCU Crew has options for in person dates and virtual. Yes, some people may have a long distance romance. Also, do you know what ASMR is? Jeffster demonstrates for you. I apologize in advance.
It's tough to say goodbye, but this week, we'll be doing our darndest to cover the (gulp) Chuck series finale. After a few tears and a brief chat on how to fill the void, we dive out of our own private jet straight into Team Bartowski's last hurrah. Between talking Green Shirts, Jeffster's final performance, and the ethical ramifications of Intersect memory implantation, Chris finally flashes and Erin honors the Weinerlicious. It's time to say hello to “Chuck Versus the Goodbye”— this week on Go Chuck Yourself. P.S. Hope everyone has a happy and safe new year! Can we stump the "Jeffster" (co-host, Jeff Duffield) with 5th grade level Presidential trivia? We'll soon find out today! Consider this episode to be a GREAT distraction to the otherwise intense political drama of this day. We'll just call it "mindless intervention!" What a country! LOL!
The DCU Crew is celebrating its 100th episode. Deanna, Nurse Cindy, Tech Tom and Jeffster talk about their summer. Was this the worst summer EVER? What state is the loudest? And what do people suggest you eat in FL, WA, CT, RI, MA, and KY? And to celebrate 100, what else is turning 100 this year? It's all laughs until someone plays the drums. Lol, take a listen and celebrate with us.
It's Summer VACATION! Lol....in the podcast world, what exactly does that mean? The DCU Crew has taken a day off. Tech Tom, Jeffster, and Nurse Cindy are putting their feet up and headed to the beach while Deanna holds down this week's episode ALONE. Hence the title, About Me. Deanna gets candid about her beginnings in radio, what prompted her to do radio, and how growing up on the east coast is soooooo different than the west.
What day is it again? Yes, you're suffering from quarantine brain as well? The DCU Crew will help you get over this slump with another episode brought to you by Zoom. This has become the new norm so why not call this episode, ZoomCast. Deanna, Nurse Cindy, Jeffster, and Tech Tom all come together to discuss what they miss most from the B.C. era (Before Corona) and how will they proceed when businesses slowly start opening. Will you be heading to restaurants and bars? Take a listen for a little fun and lots of laughs.
Tell me something goooooood. With everything that is going on in the world the DCU Crew wanted to focus on the good things happening in their lives. From new jobs, new opportunities, cooking sprees, and sleeping in. Find out what's going on with Nurse Cindy, Tech Tom, Jeffster and Deanna Cruz as they all reunite in a social distancing way way of course on Zoom in this episode of Deanna Cruz Unfiltered.
There is no doubt that we are living in unprecedented times. The Coronavirus has changed the way we live and left the world in a panic. It is a rapidly developing epidemic and when this nightmare will end is unknown. The first known case in the United States of Covid-19 was in fact in Seattle. In this episode the DCU Crew isn't going to tell you how the disease is transmitted, they are not going to talk about the precautionary measures you should be taking or even self quarantine. In this episode Jeffster, Nurse Cindy, Deanna Cruz, and Tech Tom open up how this virus has effected their lives from a musicians lost of income to a nurse putting her mask on for the first time and entering the E.R. These are real lives. Real people opening up about what life is like in a Seattle after the Corona outbreak.
The DCU Crew finally persuades Tech Tom to try CrossFit for the first time. Will he stick to it and become "Terminator Tom"? He shares his thoughts and future expectations with this healthy new outlook. The DCU Crew is joined by Ed and his Mezcal shenanigans. I'm blaming Jeffster for his visit and occasional comments. Christmas is in the air and Oprah has released her yearly "Favorite Thing List". Can anyone from this crew afford anything on that list? Listen and find out.
Halloween is here and the DCU Crew is ready to get spooky and have tons of skele-fun. Deanna and Cindy spice it up with their scariest haunted experiences. Jeffster thinks is boo-tiful when these ladies take the mic after some wine and chocolates. Eat, drink, and be scary! You're going to have a fang-tastic night after listening to these three because after all Halloween is a real treat.@deannacruz @jeffgallmusic @noisemage @cindizzlepnw
What happens when the two guys from the DCU Crew can’t make the taping of the latest episode? The ladies handle it. Grab your White Claw, Boom Chicka Pop Popcorn, and the newest Rom Com and sit in on Girl Talk, an episode for the ladies. Well not really. Fellows you’ll get some insider information when Deanna and Cindy take the mic and talk sex, nudes, piercings and more. *You can blame Jeffster for publishing this show 12 hours late. He literally fell asleep on his laptop trying to edit at 2am after a gig. Epic fail.* @deannacruz @jeffgallmusic @noisemage @cindyfadden
The DCU Crew did a thing! And it's called the Deanna Cruz Unfiltered Podcast. The Crew is celebrating one year of uninterrupted weekly episode which add up to, yes you guessed it Episode 52. Unfortunatley Tech Tom could not be present for the recording of this episode due to a family emergency; however Jeffster, Cindy and Deanna discuss what they have learned putting together this passion project and what they should probably edit out the next time around. Thank you for your support and enjoy this celebration.
This episode is the follow up to "Home Safe" and "Lucid Dreams". Have you listened to these episodes? If not, no worries. Deanna Cruz will fill in the blanks. The DCU Crew discusses some creepy things that have happened to them and when to you listen to your gut. This is all happening while Jeffster finishes packing for his grandmother's funeral. Yup....true story.
The DCU Crew is back at it again. Deanna Cruz, Nurse Cindy, and Jeffster discuss some tough relationship questions starting with weight. What would you do if your partner were to gain weight? Would you still be attracted to them? Would say something? Would you and have you scheduled time for sex? What annoys you the most about couples? Too much PDA?? How long would you wait if your date is running late? Have you ever been told you were 'hunting'? The Crew explains in this episode of, "Where Is The Love?".
What originally started as a conversation about the does and don'ts of dating somehow turned into a condom PSA. That's right the DCU Crew talks about awkward first dates, what not to do on a date, and pet peeves of dating. About halfway thru Jeffster confesses he's a giver and Nurse Cindy explains her theory about givers and takers. Take a listen for a little condom awareness.Follow us!Twitter: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusicInstagram: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusic @cindyfadden @noisemageEmail: cruzdeanna@gmail.com
How do you find love in the gloomy city of Seattle. Does the Seattle Freeze really exist? Somehow Tech Tom, Jeffster, Cindy and Deanna all found each other but what about the dating scene? How do you date in a city so techy that no one looks up from their screen. Does love exist in the greyest city of the Pacific Northwest? Ugh, it's been tough. Hey are you single? Than maybe you should give us a listen.Follow us!Twitter: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusicInstagram: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusic @cindyfadden @noisemageEmail: cruzdeanna@gmail.com
A recent study concluded that 60% of American citizens would fail the U.S. Citizenship test. In this episode we put Jeffster and Nurse Cindy to the test. Do you think they have a good chance of passing? We'll find out once Deanna can get them to stop talking about Ben Wa Balls, kegels, pelvic organ prolapse, and other randomness. After listening take the test yourself and see if you can pass. It's a proven fact that we spend a third of our lives sleeping. Sleep is essential for your physical and mental health. It affects your quality of life and wellbeing. Many people struggle with falling asleep, not getting enough sleep, and yup you guessed it SNORING! Nurse Cindy is the busiest of the DCU Crew. She is currently in the nursing program at UW and trying to juggle school, work, and a social life. Sleeping is not at the top of her list. Jeffster challenges her to download the 'Sleep Cycle App' to monitor her sleep paterns and quality of sleep. Does it work? But more importantly does she snore? What happens when two radio personalities find themselves together in the same city? They drink! No, no, no. They record a Podcast. Deanna Cruz and Jackson worked together in the beginning of their radio careers at WFHN, Fun 107 in Fairhaven, MA. It was behind the mic that their friendship began and the two have been inseparable since. Distance might keep them apart but when these two get together it's all smiles and chuckles. Jeffster joins in for the straight man's perspective while Jackson teases him about the SIZE of THE 'D'.Follow us!Guest: @onairjacksonTwitter: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusicInstagram: @deannacruz @jeffgallmusic @cindyfadden @noisemage
Before Deanna Cruz, Nurse Cindy, Jeffster and Tech Tom talk everything about The Grammy's they dive in to some of their personal stuff. Nurse Cindy finally finds out what has been causing her allergic reactions. Deanna goes off about the INCHES of snow on the East coast vs. the West. Jeffster discusses the crippling effects of the snow with the Seattle shut down. And how can we forget the Patriots?!! The DCU Crew will get you prepped for this Sunday's Grammy's. From who is performing to new artists and their predictions as to who will take home the Record Of The Year. Deanna Cruz and Jeffster take the Podcast on the road for the first ever Roadcast. Life gets busy sometimes but with three hours on the road they found a little time to record. The two take a trip to Eastern Washington to the Tri-Cities area. Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco watch out, these two are about to take over the city. Or at least try to. Hold on for deer life, Christmas is here with the DCU Xmas Episode. Deanna Cruz is a rebel without a Claus and ready to spread some Christmas cheer alongside Cindy, Jeffster, and Tech Tom. Listen as they talk about their Christmas traditions from Miami to Kentucky to Portugal and Italy. Gift giving comes to life with a little Secret Santa. Did Deanna really give Cindy an 'Elf Help Book'. You never know when it comes to the DCU Podcast. Let's all remember to Sleigh All Day!
The ladies school Jeffster on SPANX and play the first edition of "Mama Wanna What?". Play along and grab a bottle of Mama Wanna (this round was brought to you by the sweet liquor of St. Croix) or whatever your favorite drink is. Take a shot every time we dive into some personal questions. Sip or shoot but just remember to drink responsibly.
Time to pick up the pieces after Thanksgiving. Can we finally put up the Christmas Tree? Deanna Cruz, Nurse Cindy, and Jeffster talk everything from leftovers, Friendsgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and upgrades. Why is it so difficult to upgrade your iPhone. Seriously?!! Apple Support to the rescue.
From 2008: When last we saw Lester, one of the morally challenged Buy More employees on the NBC spy comedy “Chuck,” he was making more than eye contact with fellow employee Morgan’s girlfriend, Anna. Morgan saw them and was heartbroken. Anna, had it even worse: she was repulsed. Poor misunderstood Lester. Doing somewhat better, I suspect, is the actor who plays Lester, Vik Sahay (Sa-High), who joins us this morning to talk about one of Mr. Media’s favorite shows, “Chuck.”

Today's Guest: Vik Sahay, actor, "Chuck" Vik Sahay stars in Chuck[/caption] A week ago, I was concerned that this interview might be tinged in sadness. Was it possible that NBC’s rollickin’ good fun spy rom-com “Chuck” might not be back for a fourth season next fall? But then the clouds parted and the sun shone… and NBC renewed “Chuck,” too. There are a couple must-see TV shows for which our entire family enjoys gathering around in front of the television these days. There’s “Lost” and “Modern Family” on ABC and “Big Bang Theory” on CBS, and “30 Rock” and “The Office” on NBC. But the one my daughter and I especially enjoy above all others is “Chuck.” Order 'Chuck: The Complete Fifth and Final Season,' available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD cover above! Vik Sahay (l) with Zachary Levi star in NBC's 'Chuck' One of the perks of hosting this show is getting the opportunity to interview men and women whose work I enjoy. And I’m delighted to welcome back for a second show the man who puts the “ster” in the “Chuck” house band “Jeffster,” the actor who brings “Buy More” sales associate “Lester Patel” to life, Vik Sahay. VIK SAHAY audio excerpt: "NBC has a history of sticking with (quality) shows. That's the lore of 'Seinfeld,' isn't it? They believed in it and believed in it and by season four, they struck fire." Over the years there has been many characters on Television that I've loved but there isn't one that I admire as much as Chuck Bartkowski. In the world that he exists in most people just see him as a lowly Buy More employee, you know the guy that you call when there's a computer emergency. Then again, to the people that are closest to him and us as the audience Chuck is a goofball nerd, a hapless romantic, a heroic spy but most importantly Charles Irving Bartkowski always knew how to help those in need by just emanating this internal optimism that had a habit of reminding us no matter how hopeless things appear to be, they can turn out to be okay in the end. In fact, I'd like to think Chuck created a movement in the real world that inspired fans to live life with his eternal optimism as we tirelessly went out to buy our 3-D glasses, order Subway sandwiches and join in on a flash mobs all to overcome the hopeless situation of NBC canceling Chuck but somehow like with the experiences of the show's title character things turned out to be okay as the show did the impossible of being renewed not just once but twice, something that has never occurred in the history of television. And you want to know why we kept wanting more Chuck? It's because he almost acted as an IT repair man of our personal lives giving us the instructions on how to overcome our shortcomings and failures by just simply being positive with everything we do. Now, after five seasons of fun adventures our intersect training wheels have been taken off as Chuck has come to an end with the Buy More's automatic doors closing before we really got to see things between our hero and the love of his life, Sarah were going to be okay but as a reviewer on Small Screen Scoop.com put it best you don't need someone to tell you that Chuck and Sarah will be okay, because you just know it. Again, there's people out there who were absolutely infuriated by the open ended nature of this ending but ultimately what the Executive Producers were going for is giving us that last piece of vital advice before sending us into a world without Chuck. In other words, Fedak and Schwartz not allowing us to see Chuck's future but leaving us with the assumption that it will be okay is there way of telling us how to live our own unseen future, with eternal optimism or else we will end up like that fun killer Daniel Shaw. On that note, we here at ATA full well understand that living your life with constant eternal optimism is not easy to do especially with one of their favorite shows from going off the air so to keep you from running around screaming pineapple, we decided to have an event called Chuck Versus the ATA Live Show to act as a final tribute to the little show that could, which played a part in the creation of our podcast. However, this chance to say goodbye extended beyond myself and Smallville Retro Reviews' host Michael J. Petty as we got some of you listeners out there to join in on reminiscing about the great times we had watching Chuck from the pulse pounding action to the Jeffster performances and the heartwarming moments. Although, for those of you who didn't make it to join us after the airing of the Chuck Finale we proudly present to you a rerecording of Chuck Versus The ATA Live Show...
Vik Sahay stars in NBC's acclaimed action-comedy series Chuck as Lester, a member of the Nerd Herd and lead vocalist of the Buy More's resident rock band, Jeffster! CHUCK airs Mondays (8-9 p.m. ET) on NBC.

Chuck vs. the Push Mix, written by fan favorite writers Rafe Judkins and Lauren LeFranc, was an epic instalment in the Chuck saga. Action, plot twists, heartstrings, and comedy were woven together in a jam-packed hour of fun, that saw Volkoff outwitted, Morgan disrobed, baby Clara born, a Jeffster performance, Mama Bartowski freed, and Chuck and Sarah finally engaged. We have a lot of fun discussing the episode, as well as the topic of being spoiled. We also discuss this week's snowstorm's effect on Chuck, as well as other news and spoilers. Great Scott, ATA Listeners! From the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, audio from the "Chuck" panel. The session began with a highlight reel, a big reveal, and a "Jeffster" music video. It also ended abruptly, without any Q&A, much to the dismay of the audience. The panel featured Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, March Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Sarah Lancaster, and Adam Baldwin.
