Host Casandra Grundstrom is joined by special guest University Lecturer Arto Lanamäki from the University of Oulu in Finland. Much of his research is qualitative and phenomenon-driven research, concerning the role of information technologies in social practices. He is currently working in the Research Council of Finland (Suomen Akatemia) funded AI-REG project (2022-2026) investigating the European Act on Artificial Intelligence. While publishing mostly in the field of IS, he champions a certain research eclecticism and a boundary-breaking ethos. His research has been published in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS), Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), among others. In this episode, we first catch-up with Arto's research and new AI legislation, before turning our attention to paradigms in IS. We consider the historical saturation of positivism in the IS discipline, the leaning into interpretivism before narrowing in on a paradigm gaining attention called 'critical realism'. What is critical realism? Why is it important for IS? What does Arto think of critical realism? Tune in to find out. Also, colours.References:Barley, S. R. (2006). Were you alive in 1985? If you were we bet you won't believe what went down in 1985! In this episode we discuss the major events that happened in and around Wrestlemania 1. For those of you who weren't around, this is an episode that will likely blow your mind. The match this week comes on the heels of the death of the Iron Sheik and it features his tag team championship win alongside his longtime partner Nikolai Volkoff. Although most people remember these two for their singing of the Russian National Anthem and the Sheik's mic work immediately after Volkoff sang, these two were actually really sound workers and this match is a must watch for any true wrestling fan. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/sixmantagpodcast/support

Dov'è sempre stata: in Ucraina. Amen.

With Jim Brunzell under the weather, who will team up with B. Brian Blair to fight the team of Demolition? Can Billy Jack Haynes defeat Nikolai Volkoff without being distracted by Volkoff's manager, Slick? Is the skit with Bobby Heenan's doctor better or worse than the sketches on last night's AEW show? Learn the answers to these questions and many others as hosts Pat McNeill & Jim Valley take you back to those thrilling days of yesteryear with the conclusion of the July 20th 1987 episode of WWF Prime Time Wrestling. It's Wayback Playback on Creative Control Network!
The flagship show of Friday Evening's Undercard is back after a one week absence, covering the May 18, 1987 episode of WWF Prime Time Wrestling. With: -Bobby Heenan cutting a promo on Ken Patera where he says that Ken Patera should be in a body cast. -A short match between Johnny V and Brutus Beefcake where Heenan and Monsoon eloquently discuss the difference between a choke hold and a sleeper. -A match between Iron Mike Sharpe and Sivi Afi where Sharpe is billed as Canada's Greatest Athlete. The match went just shy of 10 minutes, felt like an eternity. -We get a replay of the Can-Am Connection vs Sheik and Volkoff match from the most recent Saturday Night's Main event. -Frenchy Martin faces off against Nick Kiniski...to answer a question from the show, Nick Kiniski is, in fact, the son of the famous Gene Kiniski. -Gene Okerlund interviews Ricky Steamboat...commentary on the interview is extensive. -We see a six-man tag match featuring the British Bulldogs and Tito Santana. -Ken Patera vs Hercules version 2.0, recorded the day after their first match which was so bad it couldn't be aired. -Demolition vs the Islanders, Demolition is being put over very strong on Prime Time, this is one of the few really progressing stories on the show. -Okerlund interviews the Honky Tonk Man -Ricky Steamboat vs Butch Reed closes the show. Overall, a pretty good show, not the best we've seen, but hardly the worst. We'll be back next week. Hopefully we can get a show out on the Tom McGee special recently released on the WWE Network and a few other things that we have simmering. Thanks for listening.

I'm your host Steve and today I'm joined by Annie who is the writer of the blog five foot 2.Speaker 2: Thank you so much for being on today and yeah thank you for having me. Yeah it's great. CanSpeaker 1: you tell us a little bit about your background and your biography and maybe some of your web sites and where we can find you.Speaker 2: Well yeah. My my you all well is a falsehood to blog dot com and I'm a university student and I'm from Birmingham in England and I got my degrees in English and I'm going to do my Masters in film and write in and I'm pretty much very obsessed with Oscar Wilde and William Shakespeare. Sins of other life. Drama English it's open and it's all been incredibly good for me at the moment.Speaker 1: The picture of Dorian Gray is actually more from books than your and in our conversations beforehand you say that this is the type of book that you like to revisit.Speaker 2: Yeah I make a habit of reading this book at least once every month. I have done for the past probably about 10 years which means on time.Speaker 1: Wow that's incredible. Well we'll start off with a brief introduction of the movie. This movie Dorian Gray is based on the 1890 classic. The picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. This is a story of a handsome youth who is able to somehow maintain his beautiful exterior for many years but his spirit or core becomes completely the opposite rotten and corrupted. The tagline of the movie is forever young forever cursed. Just briefly the production details of the movies. This is all courtesy of Wikipedia. In the Internet Movie Database it was released in September of 2009 and it was filmed in various locations around London and England. It really has an incredibly rich and detailed background. It's directed by Oliver Parker with a runtime of about 112 minutes and Ed only received 43 percent rotten tomatoes from and met a critic which I thought was kind of surprising and it had a box office of 22 million dollars.Speaker 1: Let's talk a little bit about the cast. Before we dig into the context of this movie because it is when you're talking about a book and a movie and a really detailed historical context that the movie and the book break out it's this becomes a little bit more complicated and maybe a little bit more fun as well. Just overall What were your impressions of the casting decisions of this movie.Speaker 2: I think part of my overall OK decisions. I mean Baso was incredibly well cross Henry sort of Volkoff that I think... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Oh, boy! Chuck is renewed… Morgan has the intersect… Chuck & Sarah are married… Volkoff is now Winterbottom, and he & Vivian have given Chuck & Sarah a billion dollar wedding present… Team Bartowski now owns the Buy More and are mercenaries for hire… Yowzer! The season 4 finale, Chuck vs. the Cliffhanger, was an amazing, game-changing episode in all respects. It was intense, full of action, yet tugged at the heart-strings, and even drew some tears on the podcast! We have a lot of fun talking all about it, and reliving all our favorite moments. So many Russians… And if that's not enough, Mel had a great interview with Chuck executive producer Robert Duncan McNeill, who also directed Chuck vs. the Cliffhanger. He takes us behind the scenes of the finale, hints at season 5, and will not confirm or deny whether a certain Bartowski could be back… PLEASE NOTE: This is the last Podcast before Comic-Con San Diego in late July, as we will be taking a much needed break. Please visit ChuckTV.net for all your Chuck needs, and also www.chuckpodcast.com to catch up on old podcast interviews. On this podcast episode, you don't know what we can find, so why don't you come along with me ATA Listener on a magic carpet ride because this week of television got a little trippy as a Volkoff begins acting like Mr. Rogers on Chuck, Beckett starts hanging out with a writer that's not Castle, Bones believes that Booth saw a Yeti in Nepal, Clark is transported to a darker version of Smallville that exists on an alternate Earth, the Winchester Brothers are driving a Mustang instead of the Impala and to top it all off, Fringe gets animated literally! Thankfully, after a week of television that felt like puffing the Magic Dragon, Nico, Michael and I are here for you Listeners acting as the White Castle to cure your case of the munchies through a great discussion about how Castle, Bones and other police procedural shows are taking notes from each other on how to create lasting romantic tension and Michael joins us for a fairly in-depth discussion on Kent and the other final five episodes of Smallville that makes up for the shows obnoxious five-week hiatus. Speaking of Smallville, be sure to join us May 20 at 9:15/8:15 Central on ATA's Ustream channel for our Superman Live Show dedicated to discussing the Smallville Series Finale and remember for this event to be possible, we need all you listeners out there to send us your favorite Smallville Clark Kent/Superman memories by using e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, are YouTube Channel or this blog to answer the three following questions... What is your favorite memory from watching Clark Kent on the TV show Smallville? The weight andWhat is your favorite memory of the character of Superman? (This can come from anywhere, comics, the George Reeve Superman, the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, the many animated versions of Superman, Lois and Clark, Superman returns or something more obscure like buying your first Superman action figure.) How has the character of Superman inspired you personally or why do you love the character? Just as a minor note Michael and my excitement/sadness over the upcoming Smallville Series Finale caused our Smallville section to be a little long-winded this week making this podcast episode longer than usual so if you're not a Smallville fan just skip this section, which goes from 01:16:07 to 01:56:38 and you'll have a podcast that is our normal standard length.
