This week on Radio Labyrinth Podcast, a last-minute guest cancellation turns into a lean, off-the-rails episode where we just roll with it. We kick things off by talking about how shockingly good the new Frankenstein film turned out, before diving deep into the penultimate episode of IT: Welcome to Derry and what it's setting up for the finale — themes, tone, and whether the show is actually sticking the landing. From there, we hit Hollywood news, including reports of Andy Dick's latest overdose and Gene Simmons doing the most Gene Simmons thing imaginable in Washington, D.C. We wrap things up with a quick round of Views or Snooze, keeping it short and sweet this week. No overthinking. No filler. Just horror talk, pop-culture chaos, and a tight episode you can knock out in one sitting. Watch the show on YouTube: https://youtu.be/iqDH7LU3OZc
Welcome back folks to another episode of Snooze & Booze! Currently at episode 283, we have another great one for you. It's been a while, we know. We're trying to get you guys caught up as often as we can so bear with us. Consider this our Christmas/New Years (possibly) episode. So take care of yourselves and although the year has been quite a shitshow, I'm sure there's been plenty of moments that have made it all worth it, too. So grab a few drinks and then grab a few more with the people you love. If you're really feeling festive, walk around holding some mistletoe over your head and try making out with anyone you come across. You might get a felony charge or two, but at least you can't say you didn't get anything this holiday season. If you play your cards right, it'll be the gift that keeps on giving... additional sentences. Totally kidding!! Don't do anything without consent. Just had to make that clear for liability purposes. I sincerely doubt that anybody is taking anything we say on here seriously. At least I hope so. Peace out ya'll! P.S. Fuck Ice
Send us a textWhat makes a love song last—melody, memory, or the moment you needed it most? We put that question to the test with a no-mercy R&B love song draft spanning the 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Three hosts build rival playlists across high-stakes categories: best song, male and female group records, duets, covers, remixes, breakup anthems, and decade picks. Every selection has to earn its place, and every hot take has to survive the smoke. We go deep on the culture: why Whitney's I Will Always Love You became the definitive cover, how samples carry love stories across generations, and where the line sits between love, lust, and obsession. Expect strong opinions—SWV's Weak goes early, Miguel's Adorn and Frank Ocean's Thinkin Bout You anchor the 2010s, and SZA's Snooze and Muni Long's Made For Me make their case for modern classics. We champion sleepers like Anthony Hamilton's The Point of It All and Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo's Nothing Even Matters, and we push back on sacred cows with overrated calls that might rattle a hive or two.By the time we hit duets, male-led, and female-led rounds—Avant and Keke Wyatt's chemistry, Luther's patience, Fantasia's glow, Beyoncé's Plastic Off the Sofa—the boards tell a story about how R&B holds our best and hardest moments. We end with a full recap and a clear way to crown a winner: three playlists, your votes. Tap play to hear the case for each track, then choose the lineup you'd ride with forever.Living the Dream with CurveballOn the living the dream with curveball podcast I interview guests that inspire.Listen on: Apple Podcasts FOLLOW. President Trump's poll numbers are at historic lows, he can't seem to stay awake during his own cabinet meetings, and his Defense Secretary wants someone else to take the blame for the military's legally-dubious missile strikes on boats in the Caribbean. Emmy-winning journalist Rachel Maddow joins Stephen Colbert for a cocktail and a chat about the latest dangers emanating from Washington, including President Trump's illegal missile strikes on boats in the Caribbean and how America's overseas intelligence partners are reacting. Today, we note that the market's stabilization attempt from Friday seems to have failed as risk-off has gone global in equities, perhaps led by the meltdown in Bitcoin. Amidst the deepening unease, it's remarkable that bond markets, with the notable exception of Japan, remain calm, while transmission into FX is minimal. But the tension is building, with a key event risk on Friday for Japan possibly set to unleash volatility. This and much more on today's podcast, which is hosted by Saxo Global Head of Macro Strategy John J. Hardy. Links discussed on the podcast and our Chart of the Day can be found on the John J. The Houston Rockets rallied from down 14 points to beat the Orlando Magic in overtime on Sunday night. They did it behind Kevin Durant's 35 points and a clutch shot by Alperen Sengun to send the game into overtime. Also, it may have been boring in Tennessee, but a win is a win. It seemed for a while like the Texans might blow an opportunity to beat the worst team in football, but a last-second field goal put them ahead in the end. Brandon Scott is here reacting to it all with you on The B-Block.
BT and Sal unleash a fiery response to the news that Giants rookie Abdul Carter was benched for one series because he missed a walkthrough while asleep in the team facility. Further reporting reveals that Brian Daboll had previously allowed Carter's trend of being late to meetings to "slide." The hosts slam the incident as an "appalling" sign of the Giants' broken culture and a lack of accountability from both the former head coach and current interim Mike Kafka, whose mild punishment is deemed insufficient. They argue that the veteran leadership, including Dexter Lawrence, is also failing to check the young player. The discussion begins with a debate over whether the Giants have been reckless with rookie QB Jaxson Dart, concluding that his rushing has been "necessary" given the team's deficiencies, but must be refined going forward. The segment closes by drawing a line from the Giants' current woes back to the neutering of Tom Coughlin's authority to placate Odell Beckham Jr., arguing the organization has prioritized talent over foundation and discipline for years.
The start of each day is the beginning of a new world, or so they say. As we open up the other half of our pair of liminal books, Swords at Dawn, we are reminded that this is a time of change and transition, new opportunities and new directions... in theory, at least. Whether or not the book itself bears out that theme is something we discuss at length in this week's episode. This is the "player-aspected" book of the dusk/dawn pairing for Changeling: the Lost's first edition, and the last of the full-on hardcovers to be produced for that line. Information about wars and duels, new talecrafting systems, a passel of tokens and treasures, and the optimistic Dawn Court round out this volume, each of which we consider in turn. Join us for the readthrough and see what light through yonder podcast breaks...! Amelia Fetch (she/her) suspects that there is a secret conspiracy of early birds bent on cornering the worm market. Mole stood still a moment, held in thought. As one wakened suddenly from a beautiful dream, who struggles to recall it, and can re-capture nothing but a dim sense of the beauty of it, the beauty! Till that, too, fades away in its turn, and the dreamer bitterly accepts the hard, cold waking and all its penalties... —Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows, "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn"

This week, the gang dives headfirst into the weird, wild world of AI video creation — from Sora 2 and Grok to the strange new internet characters they're spawning. Tim shares how he's been using Sora to make surreal videos for Gilbert (and inventing a whole alternate-dimension being named Gob-Loaf along the way), while Dustin and Lizzie trade their own AI stories and Jeff admits he's just waiting until they let you make porn. We also tackle the viral Food Stamp “Toast Lady” video that fooled half of TikTok (spoiler: she's not real — just another AI fever dream). In Views or Snooze, the crew previews the week's big streaming drops: * Death by Lightning (Netflix) — Michael Shannon brings President Garfield back from the dead (metaphorically). * Frankenstein (Netflix) — Guillermo del Toro's gothic vision finally arrives… a week late for Halloween. * Pluribus (Apple TV+) — Vince Gilligan returns with Rhea Seehorn in a mysterious new drama. * Plus: Jeff's culinary Staff Pick — the Whataburger patty melt with a blackberry Dr Pepper milkshake — and Tim's Text Impressions, featuring Sam Elliott reflecting on life with Billy Bob Thornton as his son.
Text Me A Question!Headlines love the drama of AI-fueled layoffs, but the real story is what this shift unlocks for small teams, creators, and service providers.
