In this episode I have the honor and privilege of having a discussion with an old college professor of mine, Mike Sullivan. Mike has been in the ministry for close to 50 years and has been teaching the word of God to thousands of people who've gone on to have ministries of their own. Mike shares his testimony of God saving him from atheism and blessing him with a life of ministry he could have never dreamed of. We discuss issues like the book of Hebrews, the Catholic Church, and the love and grace of God and how it all is centered around a living relationship with God Himself.Send a note or support Mike and Jenny Sullivan by clicking this link for the Ethnos360 ministry page:https://ethnos360.org/missionaries/mike-and-jenny-sullivanFollow my ministry with InFaith by going to:https://www.facebook.com/DennisInFaithIf you have any questions or comments that you'd like me to address you can shoot me an email to dennissutherby@infaith.orgAnd if you'd like to support my ministry with InFaith you can text the word "discipleship" to 41444 or head over to https://infaith.org/dennis-sutherby and give there. This week we're finishing our mini-series on The Stories Collective in sharing Part 3 of The Sullivan's story. If you remember Episode 29, Jenny shared that a few months after her husband Brad had passed away in March of 2009, she became aware of a blog by a man named Brady Sullivan. He was walking through very similar circumstances as his wife Sara was walking through cancer while being pregnant. Jenny felt compelled to pray for Brady and Sara and posted it on her blog (we've linked that below). Sara passed away near the end of September 2009. Eight months later in May of 2010 Jenny reached out to Brady through email. She shared a little bit of her story and that she had been praying for him after Sara's passing. They began a friendship through email and soon emails turned to phone calls and in person meetings. This friendship would mark the start of a healing journey and broken hearts would be filled with hope for the future. The power of prayer and the connection the internet can bring beautifully points to God's plan in this story. We hope that you'll listen to find out where Brady + Jenny are now!Blogging was an important part of both Brady + Jenny's healing journeys. You can check them out at the links below.Blog post where Jenny first shared she was praying for Brady and Sara - http://thewims.blogspot.com/2009/09/please-pray-for-sullivans.htmlBlog post where Jenny introduces Brady to her followers - http://thewims.blogspot.com/2011/01/two-incredible-blessings.htmlBlog post where Brady introduces Jenny to his followers - http://bandssullivan.blogspot.com/2011/02/meet-jenny-wims.htmlBlog post detailing Brady + Jenny's wedding - http://bandssullivan.blogspot.com/2011/08/quick-update.htmlWould you please subscribe and leave us a review? We are so excited to be starting a mini-series here on The Stories Collective! Over the next three weeks we will be covering the story of The Sullivan family. Our host Sarah Schalow first met The Sullivans back in March of 2022 shortly after this podcast first launched. After that meeting, we knew we had to share their story. The Sullivan's story starts off with Jenny Wims in Texas. In May of 2000 Jenny married her college sweetheart Brad. They had been married for six years and had one child with another on the way when Brad began testing for some pain he was experiencing in his knee. What was thought to be an old softball injury turned out to be a rare form of cancer. The next two years would be filled with doctor visits, multiple surgeries, treatment plans, traveling across the world for medical care and more. A major part of this story is how Jenny and Brad's church came around them and helped with meals, childcare, cleaning, encouragement - they showed up in incredible ways. Shortly after Brad's diagnosis Jenny began blogging their journey as a family to help keep friends and family updated (we've linked that below). The blog gained a following and people from all over the U.S. and the world were praying for the Wims family.Jenny continued to blog and eventually heard of another family with a blog that was stationed with the Air Force in Japan going through a very similar journey with cancer. But you'll have to join us for Part 2 to hear that part of the story...Join us on Wednesday, September 21st for Part 2! Would you please subscribe and leave us a review? This will help our podcast reach more people! We'd love it if you'd share this podcast with your friends on social media and beyond.Check out Jenny's blog - http://thewims.blogspot.com

It's time to flip some pancakes and get some answers. Jenny comes on the show as the first guest to talk about God. She also made my brain work far too hard when trying to figure out why the Cars in Cars Movie have tongues but "eat" from the gas pump. Children's media is making parents crazy and we want answers.

Jeff Kober, a native of Billings, Montana, was born on December 18, 1953. Not satisfied with being a rancher, Kober relocated to the L.A. area in his twenties with the desire to become an actor. His first appearance on the small screen was a non-billed role in the 1980s series V (1984). Kober went on to supporting roles in the highly acclaimed Vietnam War drama China Beach (1988) and the short-lived, but now-cult horror series Kindred: The Embraced (1996). Following these series, Kober has guested on some of the most popular television series of the day. They include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), ER (1994), 24 (2001), The Closer (2005) and Criminal Minds (2005). Kober's big screen career began with the film Out of Bounds (1986), in which he played the first of his signature nefarious characters - "Roy Gaddis", a small-time drug dealer with murderous inclinations. This role led to more film opportunities in The First Power (1990), Tank Girl (1995) (a comedic turn), Defining Maggie (2002), World Without Waves (2004), and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes II (2007), among others. Never one to balk at taking a chance in the acting field, Kober has also appeared in several short independent films - the Academy Award-winning Session Man (1991) and, most recently, Lucid (2006), another film that has garnered a number of awards at independent film festivals across the country. He has done extensive stage work, most prominently, as "the father" in Jenny Sullivan's autobiographical work "J For J" and "Defying Gravity". Being a creature of diverse talents, Kober is also a noted artist (he was responsible for the paintings attributed to his character "Daedalus" on Kindred: The Embraced (1996) and is the c/o author of "Art That Pays: The Emerging Artist's Guide to Making a Living" along with Adele Slaughter. On the personal front, Kober is twice divorced (Rhonda Talbot, Kelly Cutrone) and the father of one son. He has, at present, finished work on The Hills Have Eyes II (2007) (set for release in March 2007)-in the role of "Col. Lincoln Redding". Kober's next film was Multiple (2008). Jeff has been in two of the most popular television shows in history. Sons of Anarchy and his role as Joe in The Walking Dead. Jeff is also heavily involved in photography and Meditation. Meet Jeff Kober.
