For those who just stumbled upon this site by chance and have no connection to the subject matter… it may seem a bit “out there”. Trust me… it’s common. For the rest of us, you came here for a reason: You need to hit the restart button on life and redefine what it means to be a MAN in today’s world. You need a boost up over the wall and you’re scrambling for any little nugget of wisdom that will help you climb that extra inch. Why a restart? Well, maybe life just kicked you in the teeth. If you’re like me and millions of other grown men all over the world… you were  told “I want a divorce”, or worse… you discovered infidelity. Your entire worldview has changed. Your head is spinning. What you thought was innocent and comfortable is now twisted and scary. Welcome to the real world, my friend. I’ve been there and done that. My philosophies and advice are not cookie-cutter. They’re not politically correct. They’re not always nice. But.. they work. They make sense. They get results.

After nearly a year long battle with the VA’s General Counsel attorneys, Brian was denied compensation for his injuries, because the VA had concluded the accused physician was not a VA employee, but an “independent contractor” working within the VA. The VA also concluded that it’s not responsible, or accountable for the injuries and malpractice due to the current FTCA law / Contractor Exception. The epic story of the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division, whose elite soldiers broke the last line of German defenses in Italy’s mountains in 1945, spearheading the Allied advance to the Alps and final victory. At the start of World War II, the US Army had two cavalry divisions—and no mountain troops. The German Wehrmacht, in contrast, had many well-trained and battle-hardened mountain divisions, some of whom by 1943 blocked the Allied advance in the Italian campaign. Starting from scratch, the US Army developed a unique military fighting force, the 10th Mountain Division, drawn from the ranks of civilian skiers, mountaineers, and others with outdoor experience. The resulting mix of Ivy League students, park rangers, Olympic skiers, and European refugees formed the first specialized alpine fighting force in US history. By the time it deployed to Italy at the beginning of 1945, this ragtag group had coalesced into a tight-knit unit. In the months that followed, at a terrible cost, they spearheaded the Allied drive in Italy to final victory. Ranging from the ski slopes of Colorado to the towering cliffs of the Italian Alps, The Winter Army is a saga of an unlikely band of soldiers forged in the heat of combat into a brotherhood whose legacy lives on in US mountain fighters to this day The Winter Army Amazon Book Store

The Warrior Reunion Foundation provides all-inclusive reunion experiences to reconnect units deployed to a combat theater together.   In May of 2010 the Marines of India Battery 3/12 deployed to the volatile Kajaki district of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. For the next 7 months they would be involved in daily contact with a well entrenched enemy force, while securing the critical infrastructure of the Kajaki Dam. With over 25% of the unit wounded and 5 Killed in Action, the men prevailed in the toughest fight of their lives together. Their deployment bonded them as family - brothers in arms - who would forever share a commitment to each other. In the years that followed many found themselves in a new fight: the fight to find their next mission in post-military life. The unit needed to face that challenge like they had all others: together. Five years after their return from combat India Battery renewed their commitment to each other. On Memorial Day Weekend 2015, the Marines of India Battery reunited, joined by the Gold Star families of those they lost. Together with a community that rose up to support them the Marines celebrated their history, honored their fallen, and connected with actionable resources to support each other. Out of that life-changing and life-saving event the Warrior Reunion Foundation was born. Our team's mission is to ensure every unit has this same opportunity to reconnect. We leverage our experience, partnerships and resources to deliver unparalleled, all-inclusive unit reunion events that enable warriors to reunite, remember and recover together.

Encouraged to get up and out of his room by his cadre, Green began going to adaptive sports activities and was introduced to not only adaptive cycling, but now, Run For The Warriors Race Director, Robyn Womac, who at the time was the adaptive sports coordinator for the Battalion. Handcycling quickly became his outlet where he didn’t feel limited by his disability and gave him the opportunity to socialize. The California native spent 32 years, 20 of which were active-duty, serving in the Army.   In July 2011, Trost spent his last deployment in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. His objective as a civil affairs specialist was to work with the local community in developing infrastructure in the region.   On Feb. 20, 2012, he was escorting an aid from the U.S. Agency for International Development when Trost and his team came under fire, killing one U.S. solider and injuring Trost and a fellow corporal.   He was medically evacuated to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he spent 10 months receiving 31 surgeries, to repair the injuries of five gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. In 2014, he medically retired from the Army.   Due to complications from his combat injuries, in April 2016, Trost made the decision to have a below-the-knee amputation on his right leg and was fitted with a prosthetic.   Since retiring from the Army in 2014, Trost has concentrated on his growing farm and has earned a certificate in Brewing Science. His goal is to use the donated backhoe to grow hops to sell to local micro-breweries and home brewers in the Knoxville, Tenn. area. Masters enlisted in the United States Army in 2001 and served as an Airborne Ranger. Between 2002 and 2005, he deployed to Afghanistan three times and once to Iraq. He was honorably discharged and went to college to study film at the New York Film Academy. In 2007, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and reclassified his military occupational specialty to combat cameraman. Masters received training through the Army in both photography and cinematography and deployed to Afghanistan in December 2009. While serving in Afghanistan as a combat cameraman, Masters was injured due to a severe blast and medically evacuated out. He received treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and medically retired in 2012. Looking to transition from his military career to his civilian career, Army Staff Sergeant John Masters now has a boost for his first film project, thanks to Hope For The Warriors® and its A Warrior’s Wish® program. Through A Warrior’s Wish, Masters received $15,000 of support to help fund the film Her Inescapable Brave Mission (HIBM), through his production company Masters Productions.   HIBM is a documentary of a 12-day expedition through the Grand Canyon featuring Masters wife, Cara. At just 30 years old Cara was diagnosed with a rare type of muscular dystrophy called Hereditary Inclusion Body Myopathy (HIBM). With John by her side, the film will follow Cara striding on horseback as she descends nearly 6,000 feet into the country’s deepest canyons and continue to follow her as she rafts 150 miles down the Colorado River. The goal of the project is to break down the barriers faced by people with disabilities and to inspire everyone to live bravely in the face of adversity. Welcome to The Triangle of Death, what the Iraqis called The Graveyard of the Americans. Peer into an Infantryman’s first-hand account based on the journal the author kept during his deployment to Iraq from 2006-2007. He does not hide the ugliness of war, but tells of the worst things it brings out of us, as well as our best. When all Hell breaks loose it is easy to wonder where God is. Often He is not in the wind, earthquake, or fire raging around us, but in the gentle whisper that follows. “Not in the Wind, Earthquake, or Fire is a book that will give you a first-hand look through the eyes of a soldier in a war zone with IEDs, and the infiltration of fighters that don’t want non-Muslims in their country or even living at all.
