What's up Gamers?!When two legends from wildly different worlds face off—will Arthur Morgan's cowboy grit or Raul Tejada's irradiated might come out on top? In this epic showdown, Arthur Morgan, the rugged outlaw from the American frontier, duels with Raul Tejada, a centuries-old ghoul gunslinger, amid the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas. This isn't your typical cowboy versus wasteland hero—it's a mashup of myth, mayhem, and bullet-spreading chaos. With wild hypotheticals and over-the-top settings, this episode is perfect for gamers and crossover fanatics who love smashing their favorite characters together just to see if logic or hilarity wins. Whether you're team cowboy, team mutant, or just here for the chaos, hit play for a brawl you never knew you needed, powered by ridiculous “what ifs” and a dash of meme-worthy moments. This Podcast is a member of the DynaMic Podcast Network!
Former Floresville Mayor Daniel Tejada, while clearing some emails recently, came across one about the origins of the city's lighted night parade for Christmas. He shared this “blast from the past.” “2007 was our third year of the night parade,” Tejada said. “The first one was in 2005, with World Champion boxer Jesse James Leija as the grand marshal.” At the time, Tejada was serving as president of the Floresville Economic Development Corp. (FEDC). “I was given a budget by the FEDC to purchase ribbons for parade entries,” he recalled. “Actually, when I suggested a night parade, a few...Article Link

She joined Village Global GP Ben Casnocha for a masterclass on scaling in the AI era, followed by live feedback sessions with four founders building AI-native companies.Takeaways:Enterprise sentiment has shifted from “fear of missing out” to “fear of getting in.” Customers are anxious about security, resilience, and managing the people transition.Know what gets your customer promoted and what gets them fired. Different personas care about different things. A CIO has different anxieties than a developer or CMO.Pricing is a strategic foundation, not a tactical enabler. Start with value realization for the customer, then build pricing metrics that tie back to that value. Consumption-based models are popular, but predictability matters more than novelty.Transparency is becoming an expectation. Customers want instrumentation in your product that makes their consumption and costs visible. Nobody likes surprises when managing margins. The AI transformation is moving faster than any previous shift. Old playbooks don't always apply. The people willing to embrace change and experiment with new ways of operating will win faster.Build your CEO village. Having a trusted network of other CEOs who understand the unique pressures of the role makes all the difference. Invest in that community on a daily basis.Psychology matters in people transitions. This episode of then & now features a panel from the “Future of History” conference moderated by UCLA Professor Brenda Stevenson, an award-winning historian of race, gender, slavery, and community. She introduces three UCLA historians whose work spans the U.S. and the globe: Professor Kelly Lytle Hernández, a MacArthur Fellow and leading scholar of race, immigration, and mass incarceration; Professor Sanjay Subrahmanyam, Distinguished Professor and global historian of the early modern world; and Professor Vivien Tejada, a rising scholar of 19th-century African American and Native American history. Lytle Hernández details her public-facing work, including Million-Dollar Hoods and Mapping Deportations, and her efforts with the Zinn Education Project to support teachers nationwide. Subrahmanyam draws on experiences teaching in Europe, South America, and India to outline global anxieties about the U.S. academy. Tejada emphasizes how the abrupt reversal of post-2020 hiring initiatives threatens future scholarship in Black, Native, and Latinx history.Together, the panelists explore the role of historians in shaping public narratives, covering topics such as “patriotic history,” big-data projects, archival access, controversy around AI, and the teaching of writing and critical literacy. They reflect on internal debates within the field: DEI backlash, community engagement, shrinking academic resources, objectivity, “woke-ism,” and the legacy of the Ginzburg–Hayden White debate. Brenda Stevenson holds the inaugural Hillary Rodham Clinton Chair in Women's History at St. John's College, Oxford University and the Nickoll Family Endowed Chair in History at UCLA. She is an internationally recognized scholar whose work bridges race, slavery, gender, family, and community in the United States and beyond. Her most recent book What is Slavery? was published by Cambridge University Press.Professor Kelly Lytle Hernández holds The Thomas E. Lifka Endowed Chair in History at UCLA. One of the nation's leading experts on race, immigration, and mass incarceration, she is the author of many award-winning books including Migra! A History of the U.S. Border Patrol and Bad Mexicans: Race, Empire, and Revolution in the Borderlands. For her historical and contemporary work, Professor Lytle Hernández was named a 2019 MacArthur “Genius” Fellow. Sanjay Subrahmanyam is the Distinguished Professor of History and Irving & Jean Stone Chair in Social Sciences at UCLA. A specialist of the early modern period (15th-18th centuries), his work ranges between studies of India and the Indian Ocean, the early modern European empires, and reflections on global history as a field of research. In 2024, he published Across the Green Sea: Histories from the Western Indian Ocean, 1440-1640 (Austin: University of Texas Press, 2024), with UK and Indian editions. Vivien Tejada is an Assistant Professor of U.S. history at UCLA. She is a scholar of the nineteenth-century United States with a focus on the Civil War era. Her research interests lie in the intersections between Native American history and African American history. Her current project, “Unfree Soil: Empire, Labor, and Coercion in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, 1812-1861,” examines the relationship between slavery and conquest in the Upper Midwest.

In Victory on Earth or in Heaven: Mexico's Religionero Rebellion (University of New Mexico Press, 2019), Brian A. Stauffer reconstructs the history of Mexico's forgotten "Religionero" rebellion of 1873-1877, an armed Catholic challenge to the government of Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada. An essentially grassroots movement--organized by indigenous, Afro-Mexican, and mestizo parishioners in Mexico's central-western Catholic heartland--the Religionero rebellion erupted in response to a series of anticlerical measures raised to constitutional status by the Lerdo government. These "Laws of Reform" decreed the full independence of Church and state, secularized marriage and burial practices, prohibited acts of public worship, and severely curtailed the Church's ability to own and administer property. A comprehensive reconstruction of the revolt and a critical reappraisal of its significance, this book places ordinary Catholics at the center of the story of Mexico's fragmented nineteenth-century secularization and Catholic revival. Ethan Besser Fredrick is a graduate student in Modern Latin American history seeking his PhD at the University of Minnesota. His work focuses on the Transatlantic Catholic movements in Mexico and Spain during the early 20th century. Learn more about your ad choices. We were so inspired by the vibrant energy of our SENT Sunday service! Our speakers Rahonel Tejada, Chris Flores, and Austin Medley delivered powerful messages on the theme of youth empowerment and spiritual devotion.God Works Through the Youth: Rahonel Tejada reminded us from 1 Timothy 4:12 that young people shouldn't let anyone look down on them because of their age, but instead set powerful examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.Devotion and Impact: Chris Flores shared how being fully devoted to God's word transformed his life, demonstrating that devoted youth can inspire all through his personal story of finding Jesus and community at ccdelco.Living Faith and Mission: Austin Medley concluded with a call to live out our faith actively. He encouraged us to embrace our roles as peacemakers and to execute the Lord's will by making disciples and spreading peace and righteousness.
“Until the End of the World,” the first single from electro-wizard John Tejada’s forthcoming album The Watchline, is contemplative yet propulsive. Its shifting rhythms and saturated atmospheres are expertly woven together by Tejada’s steady hands. The result is a piece that’s both deeply felt and ultimately elusive.

There's a point where you realize popping pills and hoping for results just isn't cutting it. I've seen patients struggle to feel better even while eating clean, taking stacks of supplements, and doing “all the right things.” But what if your body simply can't absorb the good stuff you're giving it? That's where IV therapy comes in—and I brought in Sam Tejada, founder of Liquivida IV Clinics, to break it all down. Sam went from firefighter-paramedic answering 911 calls to building a wellness empire after seeing how broken the system really is. In this episode, he shares how he's using IV therapy, hormone optimization, detox protocols, and personalized wellness to help people feel better—fast. We talk about the exact nutrient drips that work for detox and anti-aging, what glutathione and NAD really do in your body, and how toxins mess with your genes. And we go deep on the difference between oral supplements and IV nutrients—why dosage and absorption matter way more than you think. If you've ever dealt with chronic fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, or just want to know what's legit in the wellness world, this one's for you. “Our goal with what we do with IV vitamin therapy is basically feeding your body the raw material that it needs—what's missing.” ~ Sam Tejada In This Episode - Sam's origin story - What Liquivida IV clinics offer—and how to find one - Benefits of IV therapy - Detoxifying heavy metals with glutathione and IV therapy - Oral supplements vs IVs - IV options available at Liquivida - Cellular membrane issues and toxins - NAD IVs and chronic fatigue - Anti-aging and rejuvenation therapies - How to find clinics - What to expect during IV therapy - Common myths and misconceptions about IV therapy - Why Sam wrote his book How to Win in Modern Wellness - The exciting shift Sam sees coming in functional medicine For more, visit https://myersdetox.com Heavy Metals Quiz: Find out your toxicity score and receive a free video series on detoxification. What happens when a firefighter-paramedic witnesses the failures of our healthcare system firsthand? For Sam Tejada, it sparked a revolution that's transforming wellness across America.Sam's story begins as the youngest child of Dominican immigrants who settled in Wisconsin, where his parents worked tirelessly as architects to provide opportunities for their children. From this foundation of determination, Sam developed both a servant's heart and an entrepreneurial spirit that would later define his career. After becoming a firefighter-paramedic at just 20 years old, Sam spent 12 years responding to emergency calls, where he noticed a disturbing pattern: patients returning to the hospital with worsening conditions despite multiple medications and doctor visits. "I became a product to our broken medical system and it was eating me alive," Sam reveals, explaining how this realization collided with his exposure to functional medicine approaches that were actually changing lives. With just $500 and a borrowed room in a doctor's office, Sam launched Liquivita Wellness Centers while still working full-time as a firefighter. His strategic approach minimized overhead costs while maximizing customer acquisition, allowing him to bootstrap the business entirely from its humble beginnings to what has now become 40 franchise locations nationwide.Perhaps most revolutionary is Sam's approach to competition. Rather than viewing other wellness providers as rivals, he built relationships with them, even giving them chapters in his book "How to Win in Modern Wellness." This collaboration-over-competition philosophy stems from his understanding that transforming healthcare requires a united front: "When I have all of my competitors chanting the same thing that I'm chanting, we're going to change the course of medicine."Throughout his journey, faith has been Sam's anchor. From processing trauma as a paramedic to making major business decisions, his relationship with God provides guidance and purpose. This spiritual foundation reinforces his mission to help others take control of their health through the "Make America Healthy Again" movement.Ready to discover how passion, purpose, and strategic relationships can transform both your business and your industry?
