The uncertainty of MotoGP races in 2020 is insane. The crash during Austria #1 was scary. The rest of the racing, especially Austria #2 was exciting to say the least. WorldSBK at Phillip Island treated us to some of the closest racing we've seen from that paddock for a decade. Toprak Razgotlioglu, Johnny Rea, and Alex Lowes all took home wins. With Scott Redding bagging three 3rds and Michael Van Der Mark close behind, the championship is tight for the top 5. Hopefully this is a preview of things to come for the entire year and we get a 3-4 horse race for the 'ship.Unfortunately, amazing racing in Australia isn't the biggest story of the week. The global health crisis has caused cancellations and postponements throughout international sports competition. Dorna Sports has cancelled the Qatar GP for the MotoGP class because of a 2-week quarantine for anyone that has recently been in Italy - which of course is likely half the paddock. Thankfully Moto2 and Moto3 teams were already in Qatar from their winter test and can race. The Thai GP and Qatar WSBK round are both postponed. GP made it back to Europe for the Jerez round. Classically, this means the factory teams and the championship contenders start gapping the rest of the field... but that isn't exactly what happened. Marquez still did his thing after HRC convinced him the COTA crash was the bike's fault. But we had plenty of surprises from Quartararo, Morbidelli, and Vinales.
