I didn't tell the whole truth about where I was over the weekend. Yes, I was with my college buddies who are making a film, Talan the Journeyman. And I did stay at the lake and then at my friend Brent's home and ate the fish we caught. That's all true. But after that, I went to LA to GET SOME NEW TEETH.Why let all the meth addicts get free teeth, when I could get me some new chompers too!?What a story? If you work hard and play by the rules, well you can pay $20,000 for new teeth. But if you squander your life, and rot your teeth out with meth, then the government has a great plan.It will ROB the good guy, and REWARD the bad guy.How many times does this need to happen before we understand that we need new representatives? And here is the irony. There are people who are mad at us for wanting to stop this nonsense. We are the people who voted for real change. We are MAGA.And Democrats are so against us, they plot and scheme. They have their spies. Trump Administration Leaker?A person is supposedly leaking to the press. And I'm not surprised. I know the Left will do anything to stop that man, and I do mean ANYTHING.Up to this point, Trump had done pretty good with not allowing leaks. Then a couple of weeks ago, we got a few leaks.I haven't heard much of this person in the last week, so did he/she/they get caught? How many leakers can there be? If we just get one of them I suspect the leaks will fix themselves? We have lots of controversies brewing, so I hope they caught the leaker and they are doing what they do in law enforcement, and leverage him/her/them to get to the real conspirators. There is a reason Trump wins, and this story reveals it…See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We want to raise up a new generation of laborers in the harvest field, but invisible roadblocks might be preventing them from taking the next step. Let's examine and address the five biggest barriers keeping the next generation from making it to the field. This session was recorded live at Roundup 2026, a gathering of college ministry leaders hosted by the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention.Mackenzie Norman serves as a NextGen Associate for the International Mission Board. She spent two years in Eastern Europe working with university students as a Journeyman. She and her husband, Caleb, live in Denton and work with college students at the University of North Texas. They are active members of Southmont Baptist Church and enjoy traveling and making music together.
The Blooming Court Ch. 6During the final watch of the party's long rest, Glad and Zechs share a quiet conversation about faith, the gods, and the found-family bond that holds their group together, until they are interrupted by a mysterious figure calling itself the Briar Envoy. The Envoy chastises them for failing to present themselves properly before the Queen and Court or offering an acceptable tribute. At Zechs's warning through the Spies Murmur, the others wake and join the tense exchange, which ends only when the Envoy vanishes after giving them a single day to appear before the Court with a more fitting offering. Not long after, a weary and familiar presence emerges: Hoshino, returned from his mission with The Journeyman and visibly drained. Zechs, too exhausted to question the timing, embraces him outright, and the rest of the group welcomes him with a mix of warmth and caution. Hoshino provides only brief details about his journey as the party updates him on their aliases for Uscana and their recent crash landing. With some quick planning, illusions, and camp breakdown, they set off toward their unavoidable detour. At the Court, they're informed that they must board a lift to get where they need to go, in two separate trips, and Zechs, speaking Sylvan, takes the lead in coordinating. Brought before Queen Senestra, he and the group offer apologies and ask what tribute would satisfy her. She provides two equally grim options: retrieve a once-in-a-century Songbloom from the treants' territory, or recover the mask of her former consort. After weighing both dangerous paths, the group chooses the option less likely to spark immediate war and sets off in search of the elusive Songbloom. There's so much happening, and that's where we pick up…Find out what happens next in this episode of the Medusa's Cascade: Collateral Damage!Theme Music is written and performed by EfflorescenceMixed by Thomas Lapierre IIITitle Card by Pierce Graphics Check out the show at themedusascascade.com Hosted on Acast. The Serpent's Strait Ch. 10Let's set the scene, shall we? The group finalizes its plans for Operation Boom Stick. Chan, Thorak, and Valen are all laying out the trap for their "friend", but first they need to acquire a large amount of andrite. Ursus, Bob, and Dona have a different objective... using Bob's Mask of Many Faces and some bardic charm, he makes a spectacle of himself as the "true voice of Hastur." Before they leave, the Journeyman gives them some gifts for the road, one in particular was a tuning fork of disruption, a prototype that Chan holds on to. Thorak, disguised as Snorak, makes his way to a warehouse that stores andrite, serving as a distraction for Chan and Valen to sneak in and grab the andrite without anyone the wiser. If only it were that simple. With some jerry-rigged reverse lock picking, polymorphing, the tuning fork, and some giant's might, the team might manage to pull it off, albeit not nearly as smoothly as they'd hope to be.In the town, Bob is putting on a grand show of being the "voice of Hastur" with an unwilling Ursus in tow and given the most unflattering of names. They are certainly getting a lot of attention and are sure that the priest in town has caught wind of this imposter. Dona, who keeps watch as a lookout, slips away after and catches the tail end of "mass". Slipping into the shadows, she hears a language she doesn't recognize and continues deeper to get a better look at what's going on, only to see the priest kneeling and speaking in hushed tones. The team reconvenes at a bar and catches each other up on what transpired. Dona recalls what the priest said, despite not understanding the language, and Ursus confirms that it is Abyssal. It reveals a conversation between the priest and someone up north, warning about the group causing trouble. With that, final plans are made, and the pieces are set. We finish as the group notices a few onlookers glaring at the party, their faces tense. Ursus shouts, "WHO WANTS A ROUND OF DRINKS ON ME?!" This cuts some of the tension short of a handful of patrons who are still visibly glaring. Valen makes his way "drunkenly" towards them, using Bob's singing as a distraction to exploit Mindsplinter's ability to detect thoughts. The spell tells Valen that they were given orders to take the party out. There's so much happening, and that's where we pick up…Find out what happens next in this episode of the Medusa's Cascade: Blood & Booze!Theme Music is written and performed by EfflorescenceTitle Card by Pierce Graphics Mixed by Thomas Lapierre IIICheck out the show at themedusascascade.com Hosted on Acast. The Serpent's Strait Ch. 9The scene opens mid–bar fight as the Slash Brothers swiftly subdue the patrons and question the barkeep about the warforged priest. The interrogation ends abruptly when the barkeep becomes overtaken by a force tied to the King in Yellow and attacks, only to be knocked unconscious. The group presses deeper into the city toward the temple, noting its ominous architecture and the same eerie laughter they heard the night before echoing behind its doors. Thorak bursts them open with Thaumaturgy, revealing a chaotic scene centered on an altar marked with familiar, unsettling symbols. As they advance, they spot a ranting figure, clearly the priest, and prepare for battle. After a brief verbal exchange, Thorak cuts him down, but the priest only laughs from the floor, promising a “fun” reunion in Blackburn before vanishing entirely. Bob warns that more enemies are coming, prompting the group to search for an exit and anything useful. They barricade one door, open another, and unexpectedly step into a familiar tavern. There, Chan meets the Journeyman for the first time while Thorak quietly gathers barrels for a developing plan. The Journeyman listens to their report and offers a drastic solution: time travel. The party rests, strategizes, and collects helpful items, including a tuning fork of disruption. Bob tries to hoard nearly everything in the workshop, but is forced to be selective. With the choice between navigating an army's worth of enemies back to Blackburn or altering the timeline, they split into two specialized teams: one to gather materials and prepare a trap for the priest, and the other to counteract his influence, with Bob disguising himself as a depraved version of the priest. Thus, Operation Boom Stick is born. There's so much happening, and that's where we pick up…Find out what happens next in this episode of the Medusa's Cascade: Blood & Booze! Building HVAC Science - Building Performance, Science, Health & Comfort
"Listen first, talk last." "Integrity costs something, you've got to be willing to pay it." "If I'm going to fail, I'm going to go down fighting." In this episode of the Building HVAC Science Podcast, Bill and Eric sit down with Don Gillis, a longtime industry pro with a career spanning roles as an installer and service tech, service manager, outside sales, corporate training, and now building technical training within a smaller nonprofit environment. Don shares the real story behind the resume: high-volume service management, the stress and health toll of living in "two phones to your ears" mode, and the hard decision to finally step away, even when loyalty and integrity made it feel impossible. A big theme is the power of soft skills, especially listening. Don talks about how learning to listen changed everything: calmer customers, stronger trust, better long-term relationships, and even better outcomes inside a distributor sales role where he turned around a struggling territory by showing up as himself. He digs into what "genuine" actually looks like in the field, why people can smell a script or hidden agenda, and how trust can become so strong that customers insist on "their" technician. The second major theme is growth through discomfort. Don repeatedly stepped into roles where he felt over his head, then compensated by obsessively preparing: reading, practicing, recording himself, and learning from people with deeper experience. The episode closes with a simple message that ties it all together: integrity and passion cost something, but they are also the multipliers that make careers durable and meaningful. As Montana Knife Company's Founder and Owner, Josh Smith is the Master Bladesmith behind creating and designing working knives for working people that are built to last for generations. Josh grew up in Lincoln, Montana on the edge of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. At the age of 11 Josh's baseball coach, Rick Dunkerley, began teaching him how to make knives. In the very beginning, Josh would go to Rick's shop where he learned to remove stock blades under the guidance of Rick. About a year later, Josh began putting a shop together at his home. Josh's Dad gave him room to work in his equipment shop, and at the age of 12 Josh joined the American Bladesmith Society. Over the next few years Josh began forging and honing his craft. Josh turned 14 at the Eugene Oregon knife show where he met other incredible knife makers, all too willing to share their talents and knowledge with Josh. At 15 years old, Josh passed the Journeyman Bladesmith test in Atlanta, Georgia at the Blade Show. Josh became the youngest bladesmith to ever pass this test. The Journeyman test is a two-part process. A test blade must be forged and heat treated with the capabilities to chop a 1” rope in half, 2- 2x4's in half and then still shave hair. Once the cutting tests are done the blade must be able to bend 90 degrees in a vise without breaking. After passing the performance test the maker must present 5 knives to a panel of Mastersmith Judges. Each knife is examined closely to ensure the knife is made to the highest standard of craftsmanship. At the Journeyman level a maker is not expected to show perfection but is expected to show a sufficient level of craftsmanship expected from a professional bladesmith.
