We come to you for Episode 110 from Germany!! Well MotoGP was in Germany, we're still hanging out in the famous Stable "B" but we are here to cover an extremely exciting and drama filled weekend of racing at the Sachsenring!! From the king regaining his title, to Turn 1 biting half the field, this weekend seemed to have it all!!! We entered the weekend with several riders out with injuries, and an anxious Marc Marquez waiting to see if he can once again conquer this iconic racing track! Throughout the sprint on Saturday, we found a very wet racetrack which evened the playing field leaving us with some "underdogs" finding their way towards the front of the grid. Bezzecchi seems to be finding the rhythm with his Aprilia more and more each weekend and was there to give Marc the fight for the entire sprint. for the rest of the details and our thoughts on them you'll have to enjoy the entire episode!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9
Tank Slappers is back to review a hectic German GP at the Sachsenring, which celebrated a record crowd of over 250,000 across the four days. Marc Marquez took his fourth consecutive double victory and seventh in 2025 so far, but he had to earn his 10th Sprint win of the season after an early mistake dropped him to fifth on the opening lap. Dre Harrison, Richard Asher and Oriol Puigdemont break down why Marquez is still "cruising" at this level, including his seven-second victory in Sunday's Grand Prix. The German GP was also a race of extreme attrition. By the time the race started, the field was down to 18 starters, with Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli out via injury, and Enea Bastianini suffering a bout of appendicitis. To make matters worse, only 10 riders finished the race, the lowest amount for a MotoGP race since Australia 2011. Why? Six crashes at Turn 1, one of the nastiest on the calendar. Dre explains what makes the hairpin at the Sachsenring one of the trickiest on the whole calendar. There's also reaction to the news that the Jorge Martin contract dispute is seemingly over, with the World Champion set to stay at the team and announce said news at a press conference in Brno next week. Oriol explains how a protracted court battle and the Assen speech made by Carmelo Ezepelta left Martin virtually no choice but to concede in his fight against Aprilia.

Finally, a steady weather day at Sachsenring for another barrage on the statistics by a certain Catalan Ducati star. Why so many crashes though? Who deserves more credit? Our ‘Hire and Fire' picks, your questions and more
Welcome to Sachsenring, where riders face an education in teutonic terror in every turn. Eighteen riders on the grid, and ten make it to the final finish. It's crash central down here! But what would motorsport be without a little danger? That's what Mat and Peter wonder as they take a look at Sunday's race. Are the Marquez brothers holding back in their fights on the tarmac, or is Alex just really good at calculating the risk-reward ratio when it comes to attacking his brother? And Marc himself walks a frightful tightrope, too, constantly leveraging an increasingly battered physique to demonstrate utter domination on the grid. If he falls, the damage could be immense - but as long as he wins, he's writing history. Yes, we love danger - or maybe we just love the feeling of taking risks and getting away with it. That's a very different danger than the one faced by riders in the JuniorGP, who were witness to tragedy this week as a shameful lack of marshals and preparation resulted in the tragic and completely avoidable death of Borja Gomez. That's the wrong kind of danger, and this episode goes out to him. Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. With big thanks as always to Brad Baloo from The Next Men and Gentleman's Dub Club for writing our theme song. Check out The Nextmen for more great music!

Just when Jorge Martin looked set to regain the 2024 MotoGP world championship fight momentum, his crash from the lead with just two laps of the German Grand Prix to go changed everything (again). Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer give their takes on why it happened, the repercussions for the title battle and whether Martin will ever change in The Race MotoGP Podcast. Last week we thought we really might be talking about Marc Marquez's first Gresini Ducati win at the Sachsenring but his weekend turned out very differently. We have plenty to say about that - and so did The Race Members' Club, whose questions now feature in all our post-race episodes. The Race Members' Club now features MotoGP content and a motorbike-only Riders tier on Patreon - offering exclusive bonus podcasts each month, ad-free episodes from our main series and the chance to have your questions answered on our post-race episodes.

Do you want to know the guilty pleasure of any rider? It's that split second during a heated battle, that magic moment where you see your opponent's movements slipping, slipping and then, finally, the crash. Nothing serious, mind you. He'll be back next race. But that's next race. Today, you own the track. It's a story as old as time, and this weekend it was performed by Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia at Sachsenring. But besides the great battles, there are some other incredibly interesting observations to be made. For example, this is the first time in the history of MotoGP that one manufacturer has dominated the podium six time in a row. So what is the secret of Ducati's succes here? And, going all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum, why is KTM still struggling? Mat and Peter have some ideas. Oh, and we might make a little diversion to a different type of racing that takes place in desolate deserts…Enjoy!Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. On paper, the Sachsenring in Germany mainly stands out for being the shortest track in the entire MotoGP tournament. Meanwhile, on the asphalt itself, it mainly demands attention for being an anti-clockwise, lefthanded motorpark-meets-rollercoaster adrenaline rush. This week, Peter's going to tell us all about where to go fast, where to go cautious, and why a certain Marc Márquez might have a natural advantage here... As always, don't forget to pull up our map of the circuit! Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. This was a truly epoch defining moment in modern MotoGP, as the European factories locked out the top positions and the hitherto unchallenged king of the Sachsenring was vanquished. Before last weekend, Marc Marquez had never lost a MotoGP race he'd started at the Sachsenring. What a contrast the 2023 German Grand Prix was: five crashes (three of them within 20 minutes in a single qualifying session), a trundle backwards to a finish outside the points in the sprint and then a non-start in the GP after a final crash in the warm-up.So is it game over for the Marquez/Honda relationship? That's certainly what The Race MotoGP podcast panel Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer reckon.Marquez's astonishing(ly bad) weekend is the biggest topic of conversation in our Sachsenring episode, from his actions after the dramatic practice crash with Johann Zarco through to his subdued exit from the weekend just before the main race was due to start. But those who actually contested the grand prix do get a look-in too, as we celebrate an amazing battle between Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia for victory, assess what might happen next in the title fight they're now in, and consider the chance of Martin edging out Enea Bastianini for a shock move to the works Ducati fold alongside Bagnaia in 2024.That great race followed criticism from some riders on Saturday of how "boring" MotoGP has become. Do they still have a point? And is the level of domination Ducati's now achieving - as it took eight of the top nine places in the German GP - as problematic as it might seem? We debate all that too.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our app on iOS or AndroidGo to Indochino.com and use code RACE to get 10% off any purchase of $399 or moreSign up for a Chime Checking Account today to link your paycheck.
