On this week's podcast, we look at the Argentina GP and the domination again from Marc and Alex Marquez. They clean up with the 1-2 finishes in every session and leave the championship standings 1st and 2nd. A tough weekend for Pecco Bagnaia, but delight for VR46 and especially Honda after a really solid showing from their riders.Follow our hosts:Jordan - https://twitter.com/jordanmoreland_Pete - https://twitter.com/McLarenMotoGPLewis - https://x.com/lewis__duncanFollow our channels:Twitter (X) - Crash MotoGPInstagram - Crash MotoGPFacebook - Crash Net MotoGPhttps://www.crash.net/#MotoGP Hosted on Acast.

In this special interview episode, Rich gets to speak with Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team superstar Fabio Di Giannantonio ahead of the Motegi round in Japan. They get to talk a little history, bike development, tyres, that first MGP win in Qatar last year and even how MotoGP downtime works in what is an unbelievably long and pressurised season. Fabio is such a calm and humble guy and a true pleasure to have spoken with. Enormous thanks to Fabio, as well as to Laura and Pol from the VR46 team for making this interview happen. Its amazing to see MotoPod re-establishing itself in the MotoGP and World Superbike Championship paddocks. The time and assistance from riders, teams and organisers is amazing and hugely appreciated by the entire MotoPod community. Vediamo come ci è riuscito. 00:00 stra-Ducati e Bastianini. The first season preview for 2024 and it's one of the big ones. It's time for the crew to sit down and talk all things MotoGP as we head for another brand new season, and while many important elements of the sport have stayed the same, there's a fair few under the surface changes (And one big one), that could factor into the Championship. We breakdown the major rule changes on the concession system, as well as the 2024 calendar before going team-by-team down the grid. Is Pedro Acosta the real deal at Tech3 KTM? How confident do the team feel about the state of Honda's rebuild? And can Yamaha do enough to convince Fabio Quartararo to stick around for 2 more years, even with the powerhouse signing of Alex Rins alongside? The big hitters are mentioned too. Can a rebooted VR46 team challenge the big boys, and will Bez regret not taking a GP24? Is Marc Marquez truly back to his best with a Ducati between his legs? What about Aprilia, the bike with an exhaust blown diffuser, can it challenge for the title again? What about KTM with Binder and co? And is The Beast, Enea Bastianini truly back? The racing legend discusses dropping out of high school to pursue his passion, the tragic loss of a friend at the racetrack and a bet on himself when leaving the most dominant team in his sport. Plus, Rossi invites Graham to lunch with his girlfriend, model Francesca Sofia Novello.
Ducati dominated the MalaysianGP...but not with the riders you'd expect! I talk about all of the MotoGP surprises in Sepang, along with big rider rumors, and a title race that looks like it will go down to the wire in Valencia! The Rundown:- Luca Marini to Honda? I talk about the potential move, and how VR46 is sending mixed signals- Sprint Race - a tale of two halves, as an unexpected Ducati rider passes the Title Challengers- MotoGP Race - we finally see Ducati's other factory rider step up, at what might have been just the right time- Pecco strikes back - and does almost what he needed to- KTM is still a little bit behind Ducati - but the future is looking good- Is Yamaha getting better, or is Fabio just that detetrmined?- We have a Moto2 Champion...what comes next for him?- The MotoGP Championship picture - a two-rider race, but that doesn't make it boring- The importance of every position in a close title race- My take on the MalaysianGPWhat did you think of Sepang?
Rich and Jim discuss the divorce of Marc and HRC. It was a long time coming but now it is done and we can get back to the exciting championship battle in MotoGP. The guys talk about where Marc will ride next year and then speculate about the insane 2024 silly season that most likely will start at Qatar next year. They analyze the potential replacements that may take the second Repsol seat. Next news item is the conclusion of the KTM saga of where to put Pedro. Five Riders and 4 bikes was never going to work and so Pol is the odd man out. But Jack Miller has been given a warning that no contract is unbreakable. Is Jack out after 2024? Lastly, an injury update on the VR46 riders' broken collarbones and of course Jim had to drag up F1 racing at Qatar just so he could talk about the new curbs. Remember to check out www.RoadSkin.co.uk for excellent looking riding apparel!

Valentino Rossi is a MotoGP race-winner again - but this time as a team boss. After Marco Bezzecchi's dominant victory for VR46 in the Argentine Grand Prix - which put him into the championship lead - The Race MotoGP Podcast looks at what the first Rossi protege to win in MotoGP for The Doctor's own team might be capable of over the rest of 2023, and beyond. And Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer also explain just how 'Rossi' the VR46 team is - given the legendary rider's relatively low profile since stepping away from the grid.Bezzecchi's breakthrough win came on a bad day for the first Rossi protege to win a MotoGP title: Pecco Bagnaia. We delve into why the reigning champion was so unnerved by his crash from second place in the wet Sunday race. The second weekend of the new sprint format produced an epic victory from 15th on the grid on Saturday. How did Brad Binder make that happen, and how good is he really? We consider that as well as what went wrong for Fabio Quartararo and practice pacesetter Aprilia, and what went right for the usually-struggling Franco Morbidelli.
