Here's an extended preview of a bonus episode available in The Race Members' Club on Patreon ahead of Mugello - an exclusive one-on-one with MotoGP podium finisher turned World Superbike star Scott Redding on his fascinating career. From coming agonisingly (literally) close to winning a Moto2 title to Honda, Pramac and Aprilia stints in MotoGP before rebuilding his career with an epic British Superbike season and then his current life of highs and lows in World Superbikes, Redding's story is an incredible one with rather a lot of ‘right place, wrong time' in it.And he's superbly honest and eloquent about every bit of it in this interview with Val.Want to listen to the full interview, plus get access to more exclusive MotoGP podcast content? Apologies for the lateness of this Pod Cast! In this episode Jim and Rich cover everything from Aragon! The kick it off with some great listener feedback about semi-automated ride height devices. Then they go over the news of Martins contract issues and the semi bombshell of Toprak signing a one year deal to race a Pramac Yamaha in 2026. Finally they guys cover the racing. The Moto3 Class was a classic with the twist of making sure you picked the right tire. This odd set of conditions resulted in a first time winner Munoz who just barely defeated the new rookie sensation Quiles! The Moto2 race was the best of the weekend and also included a first time winner. Moreira rode through the pack and chased down race leader Oncu in the closing laps. Oncu never quit and kept pushing. On the last lap at the last turn Oncu rode around the outside of Moreira to win the closest Moto2 race ever by 0.003 seconds!! MotoGp was a bit boring as Marc Marquez lead every secession ook pole position and won then sprint and on Sunday lead every lap in dominate fashion to win the main event. Domination like this has not been seen in this class since Marc himself did the same thing a decade ago at the German GP in 2015. This is the domination that we all feared when Marc was chosen to ride the factory Ducati. On the bright side Pecco appears to have found the feeling again on his Ducati and may yet be able to challenge Marc. Stay tuned!
As Round 8 at Aragon gets set to commence, Jim and Rich look back at a highly eventful set of races 2 weeks ago at Silverstone in the UK. For once, Moto2 dished up the race of the day, but there was plenty of action and incident in the MotoGP and Moto 3 races too. The lads also discuss listener feedback, ongoing contractual disputes at Aprilia, a nasty injury for HRC's Luca Marini and the vexed question of why Silverstone draws in such a small trackside audience. Mel's crook this week, so Andrew and Bruce are steering the ship on this episode of RevLimiter — and there's plenty to cover in under an hour.First up, it's the Monaco Grand Prix, where Lando Norris finally conquered the streets of Monte Carlo to take the win and slice Oscar Piastri's championship lead down to just three points. Bruce has a few spicy suggestions on how to actually fix Monaco as a race, while both ponder how the replacements for Jack Doohan and Liam Lawson are doing their best to prove why they shouldn't have been picked in the first place.Over in the States, the world's biggest motor race — the Indy 500 — was won by Alex Palou in a thriller. But the victory was almost overshadowed by the Team Penske cheating saga, which has now claimed three big-name scalps inside the operation. And in MotoGP, it wasn't a Marquez on top — it was a wild race no one seemed to want to win, while young Aussie Senna Agius stunned the field with his maiden Moto2 victory. All that and more in this week's Auto Action RevLimiter. Jim and Rich dive into the crazy, complicated and confusing Grand Prix from Le Mans. The Moto3 boys kicked off the action on damp but drying tack on Sunday morning. The race was calm by the normal Moto3 standards, but the last lap more than made up for the lack of action. Kelso was looking for his first ever Moto3 win and was leading Munoz and Rueda. In the second to last turn Munoz dive bombed Kelso which caused both to go off track. This allowed Rueda to pass both of them and take a surprise victory. The Moto2 riders were forced to watch the back of Gonzalez for the whole race as he dominated. MotoGP was where all the action and surprises were. Quartararo shocked with pole position or Marc Marquez.. In the Sprint Marc used a smooth and patient approach to take the win over his brother and rookie sensation Aldeguer. On Sunday the weather played havoc with everyone as new rules caused chaos. Picking the right tire was critical as some riders went from slicks to wets to slicks and back to wets. However the man who made all the right calls was Zarco. He became the first Frenchmen to win the French Grand Prix in 71 years.

Ahead of this weekends MotoGP round in Qatar, Jim and Rich look back on the craziness that was round 3 at COTA. Weather interfered with proceedings throughout the weekend, throwing up curve balls and controversies aplenty for Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. Elsewhere, there is a quick round up of the news and a brief look back at World Superbikes from Portimão, where Torak Razgatlıoğlu once again reigned supreme. Apologies! Something went horribly wrong last night with the recording, and it took as a long time to fix it. Mat's in Austin, Peter's in Portimão and we completely forgot to sacrifice a chicken to the wifi-gods...the end result was a slight catastrophe where we ended up recording at least one of your host over the phone. Just imagine Peter sitting in the corner of a dark hotel room with a telephone in one fist and an old fashioned recorder in the other, and now you're getting it. So, what did they call about? Oh, it's a lot! There's the race, of course, and a risky wheelie - but we're also getting reports of some very, very interesting riders in Moto2, and some sources are claiming that BMW is more than serious about being on the grid sooner rather than later. If you're still reading this, you have my thanks - but you should probably hit play now! Enjoy, and cheers!Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. Hey there, riders and road lovers, welcome back to the Motos and Friends Podcast, brought to you by the editors at Ultimate Motorcycling. The Motos and Friends Podcast is brought to you by Arai helmets. The founder of Arai Helmets was the man who created the first motorcycle helmet in Japan to protect his own head, and as a result, launched the Japanese motorcycle helmet industry. Arai focuses on glancing off performance, accumulating small differences decade after decade, to further rider protection. You should also check out AraiAmericas.com to learn more. This episode we're revving up with something seriously cool—the 2025 Indian Chieftain PowerPlus Limited 112. This classic bagger's got a championship heart, rocking the same motor that's snagged back-to-back MotoAmerica King of the Baggers wins. You've seen the 108 in the Pursuit and Challenger, but now the Chieftain's stepping up with a slick liquid-cooled V-twin, some chassis upgrades, as well as a bunch of fancy electronic rider aids. Don Williams hit the Nevada desert to put this 21st-century beast to the test. Our second segment this week is a real treat, because Arthur Coldwells sits down with the legend himself—three-time world Grand Prix Champion Freddie Spencer. 2025 is the 40-year anniversary of his double Championship win, and he asked Freddie about that unreal season where he pulled off something that will never be repeated: winning both the 250cc and 500cc class Championships at the same time. That's the equivalent of winning both the Moto2 and MotoGP Championships in the same year. Most people likely assume that riding both machines at the limit is similar… Wrong. Actually it takes total single-minded discipline and a completely different riding style for each one. Freddie gives us the nuances of exactly what he had to do, and how he accomplished it. So, grab a drink, settle in, and let's hear from Freddie about how he literally made history at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, where he beat the very best in the world—twice in the same year. Here's a quick reminder to leave us your comments on our social media—we're on all the usual platforms at Ultimate Motorcycling. We love hearing your feedback… so good or bad, please let us know what you think. If there's something you'd like us to cover, we'd love to hear those ideas too! @ultimatemotorcycling @UltimateMotoMag @UltimateMotorcycling producer@ultimatemotorcycling.com
Jim and Rich start of this episode with some listener feed back. Seems The guys missed the fact that American Rossi Moor has signed to ride in the Junior GP Moto2 class this year (link below). Next Jim and Rich tackle the news starting off with Pirelli becoming the sole tire supplier for the entire MotoGP paddock in 2027. They discuss the Ogura disqualification and chat about the X rant that people are becoming bored with the sprint races. Lastly they cover all the action from Argentina. Piqueras opened his winning bank account with a somewhat controversial win in Moto3. What does the rule really say about touching the green paint on the last lap? Inquiring minds want to know. British pride was on full display in Moto2 as Jake Dixon took a commanding win and moved into second in the championship chase. Lastly MotoGp and what can you say about Marc's incredible start to the season. The result may have been the same as last race when Marc battled his brother for the win, but how we got there this time is completely different. The guys also wonder when Marc will actually loose a race. Diggia su Zarco, Honda in ripresa, KTM si difende, Yamaha no. Aprilia sfortunata e Ogura squalificato. MotoGP action proper resumes just in time for MotoPod episode #800. Jim and Rich discuss the races from Thailand as the 2025 season gets properly underway. Great races in Moto3 and Moto2 with action and controversy in each. In MotoGP Marc Marquez starts off as he means to continue with a dominant double win, but elsewhere there was plenty to savour with Ogura stunning on his Trackhouse Aprilia debut and signs of real progress from the Japanese teams. Its going to be a great year of racing folks. ¡QUE RUEDE LA PELOTA!
Jim and Rich sit down and try to predict the Champions in all three classes. First they start with the news that Jorge Martin will miss the opening Thai round and then proceed to run down their champions list for the MotoGp class. The guys are so wildly different until they reach the top two places. Then they move on to the top five in Moto2 and Moto3. Again their list could not be more different. Rich then brings us up to speed on the WSBK season opener down under at PI. Lastly Jim gets on a rant about safety in the Daytona 200 after some major crashes in sketchy conditions. After a short pause for breath, Jim and Rich reconvene to chat through the final MotoGP round of the 2024 season held in Barcelona and titled the Solidarity GP following the widespread damage and loss of life in Valencia. The weekend would see Jorge Martin crowned 2024 MGP champion in a less than thrilling Sprint and main GP, albeit supported by the usual shenanigans in Moto2 and Moto3. Elsewhere in the show, Jim and Rich discuss an interesting email from subscriber Jacob Rower and have a quick talk through the post-race MGP test. With lots of changes for the 2025 season it was an interesting glimpse into what next season may hold. Racing gets underway again in Thailand in the final weekend of February. Jim and Rich catch up to discuss round 18 of the MotoGP world championship held at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. A weekend of mixed weather and incident dealt up the usual mix of intrigue and spectacle, with Alonso setting more records in Moto3, Ogura securing the Moto2 crown and Bagnaia and Martin continuing their cat and mouse duel for the 2024 MotoGP world championship. Next stop Malaysia. The guys finish off by selecting their all time top 3 podium celebrations. Can you guess which one came first ?! The 2024 MotoGP title fight packed so many more twists into the Thai Grand Prix weekend even though it ended with Pecco Bagnaia only three points closer to Jorge Martin than he had been before Buriram. But the crashes, near-crashes, Marc Marquez interventions, lunges, attempts to stoke Bagnaia/Martin animosity, track limits mysteries and non-penalties all add up to plenty for Simon Patterson, Val Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer to debate on The Race MotoGP Podcast and plenty of questions that The Race Members' Club want answered. The stewards' handling of Franco Morbidelli's latest piece of wayward riding, Marquez's drama-filled grand prix, a frightening and bizarre Moto2 practice pitlane incident, Pedro Acosta's return to the podium (at Jack Miller's expense) and Andrea Iannone's likely return to MotoGP all feature too.
