Simon Patterson, Val Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer debate what might be Bagnaia's most painful 2025 low so far on The Race MotoGP Podcast. As Bagnaia fell back, at least Alex Marquez was there to take the fight to Marc - but how hard was he really fighting? The siblings' (conspicuously gentle?) approach to racing each other is another hot topic after the Italian Grand Prix, as is stewarding after yet another Franco Morbidelli incident. We also tackle plenty of questions from The Race Members' Club on topics including Yamaha and Honda's awful weekends, the power balance between Maverick Vinales and Pedro Acosta at KTM, and where Fabio Di Giannantonio's sudden performance came from.Want more MotoGP podcast content? Round Eight of MotoGP brings us to Aragon Spain, home for two very famous racers on our grid, conveniently the same two that have been absolutely dominating the 2025 season so far. This weekend was no different as after a 10 year hiatus Marc Marquez once again produced an absolutely perfect weekend finishing 1st in every session and race possible throughout the weekend!! Behind him, we did see the same familiar blue colors of his brother Alex Marquez, but after that we actually saw a bit of a mix up on the grid for once! The Austrian manufacturer that has been lacking so far this year finally showed up with some speed and power to come home with at least one bike in the top 5 both days!! Further back on the grid, but not quite as far as we're used to we saw an Aprilia keeping it inside the top 10, then sadly even further back, at least on Saturday, we saw a lonely Pecco Bagnaia brining home no points Saturday but snagging a podium finish for Sunday!!! More than enough exciting racing was happening all over the track, both days of the weekend to include our riders of the week giving a very good show!! Make sure you vote for your winner of the week between the two that we chose Franco Morbidelli and Pedro Acosta!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9
Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi took a shock victory in a chaotic 2025 British Grand Prix as the factory Ducati riders struggled at Silverstone. The 20-lap British Grand Prix started under dramatic circumstances as a tangle between Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaro left oil on track at Vale, leading to a red flag.At Turn 1, Alex Marquez - who won the sprint - crashed while taking the lead, with Marc Marquez falling at Turn 10 as he led seconds prior to the race being red-flagged.The stoppage allowed both Marquez brothers to take the 19-lap restart as three tours hadn't been completed, offering a reprieve for both.At the restart, polesitter Fabio Quartararo grabbed the lead on his factory Yamaha and headed the field for much of the race before a technical issue knocked him out on lap 12.This allowed Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi to inherit the lead and take his first victory since the 2023 Indian GP, and his first for the Italian manufacturer.Crash has been the global leader in terms of MotoGP news and features over the last 20 years so to expand our coverage of the sport we all love, we are now doing a weekly podcast! An in-house production brought to you by the Crash MotoGP team: Presented by Jordan Moreland (Social Media Manager) - Peter McLaren (MotoGP Journalist) - Lewis Duncan (MotoGP Journalist)Jordan - https://twitter.com/jordanmoreland_Pete - https://twitter.com/McLarenMotoGPLewis - https://x.com/lewis__duncanFollow our channels:Twitter (X) - Crash MotoGPInstagram - Crash MotoGPFacebook - Crash Net MotoGP#MotoGP Hosted on Acast. Cos sta accadendo in Ducati?

The 2025 Spanish Grand Prix kicks off the European phase of the calendar so Adam, David and Neil chat Jerez and the current news items around MotoGP. We also have an exclusive interview with VR46 Pertamina Enduro rider Franco Morbidelli as well as the insider scoop on what's going on with the HRC resurgence.
Marc Marquez declared his brother Alex to be his main 2025 MotoGP title rival after their battle for victory in the Argentine Grand Prix. Was he getting carried away with sibling affection or is Alex really capable of denying his big brother a first championship in six years?Simon Patterson, Val Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer debate that in the Termas de Rio Hondo episode of The Race MotoGP Podcast.Even if Alex's title challenge can't be sustained, right now he's in a better form and championship situation than Marc's works Ducati team-mate Pecco Bagnaia. We hear Bagnaia's explanation for his current lack of pace, and give our take on where he's lacking.Plus Ai Ogura's bizarre disqualification explained, Honda's progress debated after Johann Zarco's amazing weekend, fondness for the resurgent Franco Morbidelli and The Race Members' Club reminds Simon that he predicted first-lap crasher/otherwise anonymous performer Marco Bezzecchi was going to win this race (which prompts a small argument about penalties).Want more MotoGP podcast content? The 2024 MotoGP title fight packed so many more twists into the Thai Grand Prix weekend even though it ended with Pecco Bagnaia only three points closer to Jorge Martin than he had been before Buriram. But the crashes, near-crashes, Marc Marquez interventions, lunges, attempts to stoke Bagnaia/Martin animosity, track limits mysteries and non-penalties all add up to plenty for Simon Patterson, Val Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer to debate on The Race MotoGP Podcast and plenty of questions that The Race Members' Club want answered. The stewards' handling of Franco Morbidelli's latest piece of wayward riding, Marquez's drama-filled grand prix, a frightening and bizarre Moto2 practice pitlane incident, Pedro Acosta's return to the podium (at Jack Miller's expense) and Andrea Iannone's likely return to MotoGP all feature too.Want more MotoGP podcast content?
One of the coolest riders in the paddock joins for the very first time our MotoGP™ Podcast ahead of his home race at the Emilia-Romagna GP! Franco Morbidelli opens up about his heavy head concusion during pre season which has affected his first part of the season but is finally finding his groove. The Italian also reveals how he joined the VR46 Academy and what happened the first time he saw Rossi on track (spoiler Franky crashed). But Morbidelli has also spoke about how eager he's to compete within Rossi's squad next season and much more! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

And Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer also explain just how 'Rossi' the VR46 team is - given the legendary rider's relatively low profile since stepping away from the grid.Bezzecchi's breakthrough win came on a bad day for the first Rossi protege to win a MotoGP title: Pecco Bagnaia. We delve into why the reigning champion was so unnerved by his crash from second place in the wet Sunday race. The second weekend of the new sprint format produced an epic victory from 15th on the grid on Saturday. How did Brad Binder make that happen, and how good is he really? We consider that as well as what went wrong for Fabio Quartararo and practice pacesetter Aprilia, and what went right for the usually-struggling Franco Morbidelli. MotoGP stewarding consistency might get a mention too.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our brand-new app on iOS or AndroidGo to indochino.com and use code RACE to get 10% off any purchase of $399 or moreGo to grammarly.com/tone to download and learn more about Grammarly Premium's advanced tone suggestions Hosted on Acast. It's the final episode of Season Preview Season here on Motorsport101, and with MotoGP back in Portimao to kick off their 2023 season on Sunday, Dre and Cam sit down for a feature-length deep dive on the state of the sport heading into the new year. Now, we're going to be honest here, things look a little bleak. Ducati are set to dominate with eight bikes, a GP23 that broke Portimao's lap record in testing, and and a super-team with Enea Bastianini joining from Gresini. Can anyone stop them? Especially when their 7th best rider in their ranks is... Alex Marquez? Honda gets featured heavily at the start, as they're throwing EVERYTHING at the wall to keep Marc Marquez happy, including brining in Suzuki's former head of development, and outsourcing an entire chassis to Moto2 kings Kalex. A last roll of the dice to keep the legend happy? What about Aprilia? ALL the aero onboard with Aleix Espargaro already going under the knife with a fibrosis diagnosis, and now a second team with RNF, Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira joining. Can they stay at the front in a post-concession world? What about a revamped KTM? Jack Miller joins Brad Binder, and Pol Espargaro returning home after a horror stint with Honda. Is this really worth all the talent squandered, and can they develop their way into serious contenders of being just a flash in the pan? Yamaha are also all by themselves now, and Fabio Quartararo looks set to be their own challenger. Can be bounce back after the biggest title choke in the sport's history. And is there any hope for Franco Morbidelli? This and so much more in a feature-length season preview on Motorsport101!
MotoGP's 2023 season has begun, with three of the five factory teams plus two satellite having held their launch events and testing now just a week away.Though team launches rarely live up to their own hype, there's been a lot to glean from the events Yamaha, Ducati and KTM have held so far - as Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer discuss on The Race MotoGP Podcast.Ducati ultimately won last year's title, but it made harder work of doing it than was really necessary. Has it definitely learned from that? And after the exit of compliant support act Jack Miller, can the works team's new pairing of reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia and ambitious former underdog star Enea Bastianini stay on good terms when it really counts? The narrow margin of Yamaha's 2022 defeat disguised some of the problems it faces - we delve into what's really going on with its desperately-awaited new engine and Franco Morbidelli's painful form. And KTM offered plenty for our panel to consider too, from the rise of Brad Binder to the impact of aerodynamic help from the Red Bull Formula 1 team and a significant - if "forced" - line-up rejig.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our app on iOS or AndroidFor MotoGP news, analysis and must-read features visit the-race.com Hosted on Acast.
The post-San Marino Grand Prix edition of The Race MotoGP podcast centres on the battle between Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo.Jack Miller's role in helping Bagnaia win the Misano battle is flagged up, even if the Italian remains unlikely to win the war given Quartararo's 48-point advantage. There's also a chat about Suzuki's season given the latest frustrating outing for Joan Mir and Alex Rins, and a look at the current slumps faced by Johann Zarco and Miguel Oliveira. Finally, Misano star Enea Bastianini gets his due credit, while the efforts of big-name returnees Franco Morbidelli and Andrea Dovizioso are also assessed.
The final round of MotoGP's crazy 2020 season was all about one man: local hero Miguel Oliveira, who dominated the race from pole position at the Algarve circuit. Toby Moody and Simon Patterson reflect on the last round of the season, and look at why there was more to it than local knowledge. With another win for KTM to round out the year, they look ahead to the prospects and expectations on the Austrian manufacturer for 2021 now it's established as a MotoGP race winner. There's also talk of Suzuki's weekend to forget, more problems at Yamaha, and why Valentino Rossi should be happy that he's switching from the works team to Petronas, alongside his buddy and 2020 runner-up Franco Morbidelli. Plus, we couldn't ignore the Jorge Lorenzo vs Cal Crutchlow spat that blew up over Yamaha's choice of test rider for next year.

J Rea is really putting his stamp on this year’s World SuperBike Championsip with another double. Racing at Jerez Rea dominated the field while Melandri and van der Mark raced hard to see where they would onto the podium. In MotoGP Warren got to watch Moto3 at a comedy show. In MOTO2 KTM put on a great race with Miguel Oliveira taking a win and his KTM partner Brad Binder in second. Points leader Marc VDS' Franco Morbidelli, finished third. In other MOTO2 news we talked about SIC Racing Team and rider Hafizh Syahrin getting back into MOTO2. Regarding the premier class race at Philp Isle….. WOW!!! This was the best racing of the season! This was as close to the paint trading and physical, elbows and knees, NASCAR racing as you can get without duct tape holding on fenders. This is a race you must see to believe.
