Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Denny Hamlin takes the win at Gateway. He locks himself into the next round of the playoffs.WEC had its Lone Star Le Mans weekend at COTA and it was a wet one! Multiple drivers were going off and it tested and pushed everyone to their limits. The end of the race came down to a tire strategy of whether to go onto dry tires or stick with the wets. In Hypercar, Porsche won the race while staying on wets for the entirety. In GT3, McLaren took the win while switching to dry tires.F1 went to the temple of speed this past weekend, Monza, where Verstappen dominated Qualifying and the Race. The talk of the race though was a message delivered from the McLaren pit wall to instruct Piastri to "let Lando by". We discuss the situation and give our thoughts on McLaren's handling of their drivers during not only this race but this season.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Bristol, Supercars at The Bend, and MotoGP is in Misano.
On the podcast this week we review the Catalan GP with Alex Marquez denying his brother the chance of winning the title in Misano, Pecco Bagnaia's struggles, Quartararo surprises and Enea Bastianini's raw speed is back!Crash has been the global leader in terms of MotoGP news and features over the last 20 years so to expand our coverage of the sport we all love, we are now doing a weekly podcast! An in-house production brought to you by the Crash MotoGP team: Presented by Jordan Moreland (Social Media Manager) - Peter McLaren (MotoGP Journalist) - Lewis Duncan (MotoGP Journalist)Jordan - https://twitter.com/jordanmoreland_Pete - https://twitter.com/McLarenMotoGPLewis - https://x.com/lewis__duncanFollow our channels:Twitter (X) - Crash MotoGPInstagram - Crash MotoGPFacebook - Crash Net MotoGP#MotoGP Hosted on Acast.

Martin, Marquez, Bagnaia, Case giapponesi, GP 25, Misano.

Jim and Rich review the first of the triple headers. First Jim talks about his busman holiday to the IMSA race in Indianapolis, then the guys go through all the news. After the new the guys break down the racing from San Marino! With heavy rain just before the weekend the track had all of the rubber washed off and this seemed to have massive effect on all the classes. In Moto3 it was normal shrive resumed as Alonso won a cracker of a race. The last few laps were quite a spectacle as Alonso, Piqueras, Vier and Holgado constantly changed positions. In Moto2 the guys discuss the surprise send place in Q2 by Joe Roberts. The real surprise was the race itself as Ogura made one of the most impressive starts this season, by powering around the outside of several riders to be third on the start. The race settled into a fight between Vietti, Canet and Arbolino. Arbolino looked like a sure bet to win his first race of the season but a gearbox problem caused him to run wide handing the lead to Canet. Can't was them pipped at the finish line by Vietti, by .029 seconds! This was the best Moto2 race of the season! MotoGp help up its end of the bargain by having a great late race battle between Martin and Bastianini. Where was Pecco? Well he struggled with his rear tire and fell off about halfway. Bastianini would win after aggressively move Martin out of the way. This championship is definitely going down to the last race of the season. Jim and Rich look back at the first of the MotoGP double headers at Misano. The Moto3 race dished up what might well prove to be the race of the season. Elsewhere, the racing was a bit more predictable but with a rain shower creating jeopardy and opportunity in the main MotoGP race an old hand came to the fore. Elsewhere in the show the chaps go through recent news and enjoy some listener feedback from Chris Boyce and Gary Shavit. There is also some news from WSBK at Magy Cours where Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Adrián Huertas amongst others survived scares on track and where a peculiarity of the weather and the rules threw up an interesting question about the dreaded long lap penalty. Paddock Pass Podcast - Motorcycle Racing - MotoGP - World Superbike
David and Neil avoid the pitlane and stay firmly on track to bring you their opinions and talking points from round thirteen of MotoGP and another twist in a narrowing 2024 championship tale.
According to Peter, when the Dutch get that sinking feeling in their stomach that tells you something is about to turn into an unpleasant surprise, they say that they are "feeling wetness". Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini can probably relate, as they called a surprise downpour's bluff and got away with it. Why? Because it the rain didn't 'smell right'. Call it local wisdom, but that's one hell of an advantage when racing at Misano. So, what exactly happened? And what other teams should be "feeling wetness" after today? Mat and Peter are ready to hash it out on air! Oh, and Mat has some beautifully diabolical ideas to spice up future races. It's just going to require a whole bunch of sprinklers and Keanu Reeves' phone number...Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. Within the microstate of San Marino, there live just over 30.000 people. Those Sammarinese better get ready for a busy weekend, because when MotoGP comes to Misano World Circuit they tend to bring along more than 140.000 (!) visitors. So, what can those roving crowds expect to see this Sunday?Join Peter as he talks us through a track where no bike design has a clear upper hand and where it all comes down to the skills of riders who know every bump and curve like the back of their hand. Just one lap and you, too, will know why this is the place where tracklimits are everything and the 'Misano curb' was invented. Sounds good? Then turn up the volume and press play already! (Oh, and as always: don't forget to pull up our map of the circuit!)Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon.
