Jayson CrossTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know comedian Jayson cross. In this episode, Jayson and I chat about his growing up on the south side of Chicago, and the language academy that he went to for grades K-8, and why he learned to speak German. Then we get into when and why he learned to play chess, and what he gets out of it. Next, Jayson explains what made him decide on the career path of teaching, and his particular mindset with regard to his unique teaching style. Naturally, we talk about his modeling career, those cheek bones, and his Playgirl centerfold experience. Jayson then explains the best place to meet and network with people in and around the entertainment business, before diving right into his philosophy of the "Ghettofication" of things. Jayson has a podcast called Ghettofication, where he interviews members of the community, highlighting some of the things that have changed in society, and whether these changes are for the better. Finally, we talk about why and how he decided to get into stand-up comedy. Jayson is part of 'The Bored Teachers Comedy Tour' featuring comedian educators. Catch the tour this summer as they bring hilarity across the country. Check Jayson's Instagram for tour dates and locations. Don't miss Jayson's Micro Comedy Special on YouTube, and if you are anywhere near Kenosha, WI, pop into the Kenosha Comedy Club to see what Jayson has going on there. It's a bit different and sounds like a blasty blast.

Woody Allen's "Interiors" is a poorly understood film, in part because it deals with artists and their foibles for a non-artistic audience. There are misunderstandings about Woody Allen's POV vs. the POV of his characters, misunderstandings about the nature of art and aesthetics, and even the role of cinematic influences on Allen, such as through Ingmar Bergman. In this episode of the ArtiFact Podcast, the world's leading Woody Allen critic, Alex Sheremet, discusses "Interiors" with other film critics and artists, bringing the deepest and broadest conversation on the film. Floyd's asking for the drug that's going to kill him... could he have planned his own death? He also asks to watch, then asks to be watched. Oh boy. Carol ask the Detectives to speak up while Clark wants to stop speaking. Let's breakdown the fifth episode of LET'S SOLVE DTF: ST. LOUIS, HBO's mid-life crisis, buddy comedy, murder mystery with more sex and Playgirl photography! A darkly comedic tale of three middle-aged individuals entangled in a love triangle, leading to one's untimely demise. But if someone killed Floyd (David Harbour), whodunnit? Was it weather man Clark (Jason Bateman)? Or did his widow Carol (Linda Cardellini) take him down? Other suspects include Clark's wife Eimy (Wynn Everett), Floyd's stepson Richard (Arlan Ruf), or a mystery person like Peter Sarsgaard? St. Louis Detective Donoghue Homer (Richard Jenkins) and Twyla special crimes officer Jodie Plumb (Joy Sunday) will have to crack the case. Sona and I recap DTF St. Louis episode five, “Amphezyne” focusing on the made-up drug, the intensifying case against Carol, and the show's ongoing misdirection, while praising David Harbour's Floyd and highlighting the tragic, funny beats (the Playgirl spread set to “Forever Young,” the detectives' car banter, and Floyd saving a deafblind child using tactile signing). We discuss the sealed court record tease, the life-insurance policy being in Clark's mother's name, the couple's voyeuristic arrangement, and why Emmy's minimal presence feels intentional. I then bring in Darren, who's caught up on DTF and expects another rug-pull, and we briefly pivot to Paradise's finale and other recent watches, plus upcoming coverage plans and travel-related scheduling. We continue with #VIDtober 2, where we explore the Canadian movies released by New World Video with an important Canadian film: 1967's PLAYGIRL KILLER! The first Canadian horror movie made in color shares a good amount of DNA with Herschel Gordon Lewis' BLOOD FEAST and TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! and also doesn't share some DNA too! Most prominently is actor Bill Kerwin, who starred in both of those films from Lewis but opted out of the third entry in Lewis' "Blood Trilogy" so he could head to Canada and shoot this, a film about a artist who just wants his models to hold their pose without fail for hours on end. Diving into a stranger's pool with us is Doug Tilley, host of a variety of podcasts on Cinema Smorgasbord including You Don't Know Dick, Eric Roberts is the Man, Bartel me Something Good, and so many more! Being a Canadian himself, Doug helps us fill in some gaps we lack in Canadian culture. This also has plenty of music! Crooner Neil Sedaka appears in the film, until he doesn't, and even sings a little bit! We discuss whether Sedaka was too famous for this movie, as well as other topics, such as the stylistics choice of socks with sandals, how we might "pull a Bob" on our won podcasts, and the importance of having an industrial-size freezer in your house. This week on Holly Randall Unfiltered, I sit down with one of the most fascinating performers I've ever met. Best known in the adult world as gay performer Reese Rideout, this industry chameleon is now stepping into a new persona: Dom Cruise. Dom has been in the business for over 20 years, and he takes me through his wild ride: from being scouted at a bodybuilding competition, to shooting with Playgirl back in the days of film, to navigating the slippery slope of gay-for-pay as a straight man. We talk about the homophobia that plagued the industry back then, how he learned to “thrust to pop,” and why twinks were always easier than bears. Dom doesn't hold anything back—yes, we even get into his supplement obsession and the science behind his microscope-tested loads. We also cover the stigma around masculinity, the mental gymnastics it took to perform scenes outside his comfort zone, and how the gay side of porn often paid better than the straight side. Dom shares how OnlyFans changed the game, why he's stepping into straight scenes now, and how his wife supports him while helping manage his career. On top of that, he's building a mainstream acting career with upcoming films like Crystal and Apophis 2029, plus a campy blood-soaked thriller called Killer Clown Girls (which, yes, lets me admit my angry clown fetish on air). This episode is part porn history, part confessional, and part insane Hollywood tale—exactly why I love doing this show.Support our show by supporting our sponsors! On y découvre "It's A Mirror", sensible et agoraphobe. La reprise du jour vient de Franz Ferdinand, qui s'approprie "All My Friends" de LCD Soundsystem. Côté live, Aerosmith brille avec "Dream On" enregistré à Boston. Les classiques de The Who, The Specials, ou encore Pearl Jam et The Strokes ponctuent cette soirée riche, conclue avec Ladytron et leur "Playgirl". (Airdate: 3.6.25) Travis Kelce confirms he is NOT haning up his cleats just yet, even though he makes a boat-load of money doing other things in Hollywood. Tells bro Jason on the New Heights pod that he's decided to play at least another season. Will Ferrell honors co-bro John C. Reilly with a story about filming Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby. He broke character when John regaled Will's character with a confession about Playgirl and spread buttcheeks, totally improvised. And Ben Affleck may appear to have lots of money, he doesn't want that to influence his young son Samuel while checking out size 8 athletic shoes at a convention in L.A. The pair Sam liked were only $6 Grand. And @HalleBerry Listen to the daily Van Camp and Morgan radio show at: https://vancampandmorgan.com/stations
Will Ferrell says John C. Reilly made him break character one time during "Talladega Nights". It was the scene where Will is in a coma, and John tells him he once posed for "Playgirl" under the name Mike Honcho. In this movie the two were pros in WHAT sport?

This week we sit with creator Kevin Learn. We discuss his upcoming project, “MEMOIRS FROM THE 20TH CENTURY” and more. KEVIN LEARN Brief bio: I began as a freelance illustrator twenty years ago, getting published in Playgirl, The Source, Subject magazine and several indie newspapers. I have also gotten paid to draw pillows and pizza to financial logos and charts of biopsy markers. My first sequential work was actually an illustrated guide to performing knee surgery (riveting stuff). However, most of my sequential work, that is non-knee surgery related, has been published online, and mainly for horror anthologies between 2014-2018. Since that time, I've paired up with my twin brother, who lives in Korea, to create a 250 page YA graphic novel about a Korean exchange student called Chewy Noh. And in 2023, I began the 5 part mini-series Memoirs from the 20th Century, which will shortly be published by Bloodmoon Comics. The episode explores the legacy of Playboy and its founder Hugh Hefner, discussing the complex ways in which it has influenced women's lives and the broader cultural landscape. The conversation also touches on the shift in how women are able to capitalize on their own bodies and sexuality in the age of social media. The host wraps it up with her signiature Q&A.
Ana discusses the life and work of Edna O'Brien, a writer who caused a scandal in 1960's Ireland with her debut novel, The Country Girlls, and her pioneering exposé of women's previously hidden sexual lives.
Of all the episodes I have been able to record, these episodes with my father stand out as some of my favorites. I never thought I would be able to record conversations about our family history, values, beliefs, and what makes us who we are. I love that they will live forever, far beyond both of us, and can hopefully have great meaning to future generations later in their lives. Strap in and get ready for a journey through space and time. We open with my fathers role in the first issue of Playgirl, the in's and out's of being on the receiving end of a BUI (Biking Under the Influence), current protests at college campuses in comparison to the Vietnam era and much, much more.
