Once you are born again and therefore "saved" you are always saved. It is utterly impossible to ever lose that salvation. Scripture clearly supports this truth. Here is the biblical evidence that is so compelling and simply cannot be ignored. If you believe it's possible to lose your salvation then you have to be able to explain these scriptures: 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NIV) "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." Ephesians 1:13-14 (NKJV) “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” 1 John 5:11-13 (NKJV) “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” John 10:27-29 (NKJV) “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. In order to believe once saved always saved you have to either eliminate the conditions given by Jesus and the apostles through dispensational gymnastics or you have to twist the clear testimony of scripture into a pretzel and reinterpret them so that they no longer apply as warnings to believers that they can miss heaven I will show that even Paul who they point to as the only messenger to the New Testament believer issues his own conditions And the wording that he uses is used by other Bible characters, and in those cases it's clearly talking about going to hell Paul also discusses rewards and so he's very familiar with explaining losing rewards and using the term reward. So the once saved always saved enthusiasts is not dealing in good faith and is not exegeting what Paul is saying properly. It's clear and obvious that this narrative breaks down when the conditions are in effect The conditions to the free gift .....the unmerited gift supersede and override the promise You're not saved at the time of decision you're saved at the end What are you saved from? El avión despegó de un aeropuerto en los Estados Unidos de América mientras los pasajeros se acomodaban en sus asientos, asegurándose de que tenían bien abrochado el cinturón de seguridad. Algunos elevaron una plegaria en silencio al Dios en quien creían; otros hicieron la señal de la cruz, manifestando así su fe. Entre los pasajeros iba un hombre acompañado de un niño. Los dos ocupaban asientos en la sección central de la nave, y se disponían a dormir. De repente, el hombre se levantó con brusquedad, agarró de la mano al pequeño, y casi a rastras entró con él a la cabina de mando. El piloto y el copiloto palidecieron cuando el desconocido sacó rápidamente una pistola y gruñó: «Si quieren salvar el pellejo, diríjanse a La Habana.» Sin titubear, los pilotos obedecieron la orden y se dirigieron a Cuba. El portavoz de la tripulación, por su parte, se encargó de explicarles a los pasajeros lo que había ocurrido. La sorpresa fue mucho mayor cuando por la radio se escuchó el siguiente boletín: «Esta es Radio Reloj Nacional en La Habana, Cuba. Hace pocos minutos arribó a la capital cubana uno de los líderes sindicalistas más destacados del momento. ¡Se valió de una pistola de juguete para atemorizar a los pilotos y secuestrar un avión de la Aerolínea Eastern!» Cuando los pilotos oyeron la noticia, se enojaron aun más por haberse dejado secuestrar ¡con una pistola de juguete! Es evidente que esto sucedió hace muchos años. En la actualidad sería muy difícil concebir tal desenlace. Aunque un pasajero lograra burlar la estricta vigilancia del aeropuerto y pasar a bordo con una pistola de juguete, ya no sería tan fácil entrar en la cabina de mando del avión. Es probable que los pilotos de aquel avión hayan sido objeto de burla de sus conocidos algún tiempo después de aquel suceso por haber dejado que les tomaran el pelo con una pistola de juguete. Aun hoy nos parece ridículo, y sin embargo a nosotros nos pasa lo mismo, sólo que con otra clase de pistolas engañosas. Las que nos dominan a nosotros no son armas físicas, ni de plástico ni de metal, sino las armas del engaño fiscal, del engaño amistoso y del engaño amoroso. ¿Qué de los que engañan a sus patrones en la empresa donde trabajan, robando tiempo y dinero cada vez que se presenta la oportunidad? ¿Qué de los que engañan a sus presuntos amigos, dando la impresión de que les son fieles mientras se confabulan con otros contra ellos? ¿Y qué de los que engañan a su pareja, ya sea antes o después de casados, entregándole sin vergüenza su afecto a otra persona? Más vale que reconozcan que para los que secuestran a otros empleando semejantes armas, les espera un castigo divino seguro, tan seguro que no hay modo de burlarlo... a no ser que le pidan a Dios perdón por esos actos egoístas y detestables.
