When Conservatism Loses Christ: The Cost of Unbiblical Leadership

Modern Conservatism is collapsing, and it isn't because of the Left. It's because the Right has abandoned biblical order, biblical loyalty, and biblical leadership. In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I'm examining how our so-called conservative leaders have traded Christianity for political convenience, elevating foreign loyalties, unbiblical theology, and female authority over God's clearly established design. When prominent figures openly choose Judaism over Christianity and Israel over America, we must ask: What exactly are we conserving anymore?Scripture is clear: Christianity is a patriarchy with God as its Head, Christ as King, and men called to lead in righteousness. A movement that rejects this order will inevitably rot from the inside out. This episode is a call to return to:Christ over cultureFaith over foreign allegianceGod's elect over globalist prioritiesBiblical men over platformed female personalitiesIf Conservatism wants to survive, it must first repent.--https://www.bible.com/

Matthew 5:17–48 | Kingdom Now: Guilty as Charged

In this sobering and soul-searching message, Pastor Karl dives deep into Matthew 5:17–48, where Jesus declares that He came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it—and then raises the bar of righteousness far beyond anything the scribes and Pharisees ever imagined.Through six piercing examples—anger that murders the heart, lust that commits adultery in the mind, casual divorce, manipulative oaths, retaliation, and hatred disguised as justice—Jesus exposes the truth we all try to avoid: outward obedience is never enough. God judges the heart. Every single one of us stands guilty before His perfect standard.Yet the bad news is meant to drive us to the best news. Pastor Karl powerfully unpacks how Jesus' command in verse 48—“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect”—is not a cruel impossible demand, but the very reason the Son of God came. We cannot achieve the righteousness God requires, so God freely gives it to us through faith in Christ. Jesus took our unrighteousness and imputes His perfect righteousness to all who repent and trust Him.A hard-hitting, heart-exposing sermon that leaves no room for self-righteousness, but ends with the liberating joy of the gospel: guilty sinners can be clothed in the very righteousness of God and stand before Him as if we had never sinned. Send us a textWhat if the greatest spiritual danger isn't outside the church but seated within it? We open the Scriptures to make a hard case: the “falling away” Paul warns about in 2 Thessalonians 2 is not a rumor, and the man of sin doesn't need a rebuilt temple to deceive. He targets the temple that matters most—the people of God. From there we trace how fear, vague headlines, and religious spectacle can pull sincere people off center when they lose their love for truth. We walk slowly through Paul's argument to steady anxious hearts. Christ's return will not be secret or questionable; it will be unmistakable. Before that day, apostasy rises and the lawless one emerges “with all power, signs, and lying wonders.” That's the trap: visible displays that enthrall the senses but starve the soul. We contrast undeniable biblical miracles—shriveled hands restored, the dead raised—with today's ambiguous performances and hype. The aim isn't to mock the supernatural but to prize what heaven calls the greatest wonder: a sinner saved by grace. When God grants repentance and faith, He overturns our nature, and that is a miracle no stage can counterfeit. We also challenge a popular timeline. The Bible knows nothing of a discrete seven year tribulation period carved from Daniel's seventy weeks, and the kingdom of God is already present in Christ's reign. That reframing puts the emphasis where Scripture does: enduring faith, daily humility, and a discerning love for God's Word. We urge practical steps—cling to Christ each day, repent quickly, cultivate Scripture hunger, and use your voice to witness in ordinary spaces. Strong delusion comes upon those who refuse to love the truth; a warm heart for the Word will keep you when signs impress and crowds cheer. If this study sharpened your discernment, share it with a friend, subscribe for more Bible‑anchored episodes, and leave a review to help others find the show. What stood out to you most—and where do you see the love of truth needing renewal today?Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!

6Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,2and of instruction about washings,[a]the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.3And this we will do if God permits.4For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,5and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come,6and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.7For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.8But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned. 9Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better thingsthings that belong to salvation.10For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.11And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,12so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Takeaways: The podcast discusses the topic of eternal security, emphasizing that true salvation cannot be lost, as it is secured by God's grace and not by human effort. A key point made is that the evidence of genuine faith is not merely a profession of belief, but a transformed life that evidences obedience to God's commands. The hosts argue that many who claim to be Christians but later abandon their faith were never truly saved, citing 1 John 2:19 to support this claim. Scriptural references, such as Romans 8 and John 10, highlight that nothing, including personal actions, can separate a believer from the love of God once they are truly saved. The distinction between true believers and those who are merely professing faith is crucial, as it underscores the importance of genuine transformation in one's life. The discussion addresses common misconceptions about salvation, clarifying that while believers may struggle with sin, their salvation remains secure in Christ.
