We're back… HardLore returns with a very special episode in honor of our late co-host, friend, and brother, Bo Lueders. Youth of Today was Bo's favorite hardcore band of all time, and a constant through-line on this show since the beginning. Now, we're finally joined by YoT/Shelter vocalist and trailblazer of straight edge as a movement: RAY CAPPO, for a 3.5 hour career retrospective interview. It doesn't end there, as our first ever guest co-host is also extra special, we're joined by Harms Way vocalist James Pligge (aka “Youth Crew James”) to round out this perfect tribute to our fallen friend. We start from the very beginning in Danbury, CT, where Ray and Violent Children got a historic head-start from an opportune visit to a radio station, discovering Hare Krishna through Harley Flanagan, meeting Porcell and evolving into Youth of Today and spreading straight edge all around the world, thoroughly BREAK DOWN the Youth of Today discography, founding Revelation AND Equal Vision Records, and the spiritual path that lead to the end of Youth of Today and the humble origin of Shelter. The goal remains the same, carry on the love and dedication for our favorite bands that we've shown every week the last 4 years… But with the new mission of honoring Bo every step of the way. Agreements matter. Words matter. Renouncing the Religious Spirit

I have crafted a prayer for the renunciation of the religious spirit. Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, and that he took on the flesh of the blessed Virgin Mary. By his death and resurrection,  I have been given the power to become a child of God. And I can only be a child  by the power of the Holy Spirit in me.   I renounce the lie that I have to do things to remain a child of God.   I renounce the lie that I have to do things  to make you come to me.   And I renounce the lie  that my works or activities, my knowledge or expertise will cause you to do things.   I renounce the lie that I have to do things to  shift the spiritual atmosphere, or have power over people, places, or things.   Only you have this power, and I submit to your work in my life.   I renounce the lie that my activities, my church membership, my political party, or my theology make me a better person  than others.   I know that this attitude puts me under the law of sin and death and blocks the flow of the Holy Spirit.   Forgive me for coming into agreement with  the prevailing religious culture in the United States. I am guilty of the worst of all sins, Pride and all the works that flow from it.   I acknowledge that the belief in my own activity opens me up to a curse, and that I am bewitched. I have allowed witchcraft to operate in my life. Forgive me for any way I have touched your glory.   Father forgive me, have mercy on me a sinner. I am powerless and helpless to be a Christian in my own strength, and all my "righteousness" is a filthy rag. I am no different than the woman caught in adultery, and I ask you to forgive me that I may go and sin no more.   Now I renounce the religious spirit, and any agreements I have made with  pride, immorality, or witchcraft. They have to leave me now and go to Jesus.   Open my eyes to see every way I have come to agree with this spiritual power and help me walk differently in the future. Help me walk softly before you.   I thank you Lord, that Jesus Christ became a curse for me on the cross so that I can enter into the blessing of Abraham. I break the religious curse operating in my life and ask you to release the blessing over me.   I now break the power of witchcraft and close the open door witchcraft has in my life.   Thank you Lord that it is for freedom that Christ has set me free.   Jesus, you promised that you would not leave me an orphan. I ask you now to release the Holy Spirit  in me and unblock the flow of life and healing so that I can walk in love and know the presence of the Father in me. Amen.   Belonging House International is a fellowship of Christian artists and creative people who are called to raise up an army of artists who will build Jesus a throne in the earth.   We are here to help you grow and thrive as a Christian artist, develop in your relationship with God, experience transformation, and discover the change you can make in the world.   Our videos and teaching are designed to transform your spiritual life.  Your inner life determines your creative output. The Book of Judges reveals a sobering truth about the battle for our minds and hearts. We discover that Israel's repeated cycle of apostasy, oppression, crying out, deliverance, and rest wasn't just ancient history—it's a mirror reflecting our own spiritual struggles today. The core issue wasn't simply that the Israelites sinned; it was that they lost the battle in their minds, trading truth for lies, and reality for fiction. They forgot the Lord not because they couldn't remember Him intellectually, but because their hearts and behaviors were no longer controlled by what they knew to be true about God. Instead, they surrendered to the Baals and Asherahs, the false narratives of their culture. We face the same spiritual warfare today, where the enemy acts as a master social engineer, feeding us deceptions that align perfectly with our disordered desires. Whether through social media's endless scroll that destroys our capacity for meditation and critical thinking, or through subtle lies about our worth, our past, or our future, we're constantly bombarded with falsehoods that promise protection but deliver blisters to our souls. The message is urgent: we must take every thought captive, refuse isolation, renew our minds in God's Word, and recognize that the battle belongs to the Lord. Like Othniel, Ehud, and Shamgar—unlikely deliverers whom God raised up—we too can experience freedom when we embrace truth and reject the lies that hold us captive.ChaptersChapter 1: The Danger of Believing Lies0:00 - 10:17We learn how believing lies, even simple ones, can lead to painful consequences in our lives, just as the Israelites' apostasy began with believing deceptions over God's truth.Chapter 2: The Cycle of Apostasy and God's Deliverance10:17 - 22:00We examine the repeated cycle in Judges of apostasy, oppression, crying out, and deliverance, understanding how abandoning God's truth leads to bondage under false narratives.Chapter 3: Social Engineering and the Enemy's Tactics22:00 - 33:45We discover how Satan operates as a social engineer, feeding deceptive thoughts that align with our disordered desires and are reinforced by worldly culture, especially through social media.Chapter 4: Recognizing and Renouncing the Lies We Live33:45 - 41:32We are called to identify the false narratives we believe, renounce them, repent of related sins, and replace them with God's Word while refusing isolation.Chapter 5: Unlikely Deliverers and Victory in Christ41:32 - 50:33Through the stories of Othniel, Ehud, and Shamgar, we see that God uses unlikely people to bring deliverance, exposing the enemy's lies as worthless and bringing freedom.

There is a power in publicly declaring you no longer own, support, or believe in something. Meet five Canadians doing just that.Jess Klaassen-Wright is part of a small but growing movement of young people in Canada renouncing their generational wealth. And right now, Jess is grappling with what to do with an unexpected $300,000 inheritance. Jess tells us why it's important to talk more openly about money, including how much you have, where it came from, and asking yourself how much you really need. Since Dominique Gené was a kid, religion and her relationship to God have been her anchor. She spent a good chunk of her life in church. Until 2024, when she decided to permanently part ways with her faith. Two years ago, Gavin MacNeil said goodbye to his smartphone and social media accounts for good. Now at 18, and months away from moving away from home for the first time, can he hang on to his commitment? When Franklin Fontaine ended up in jail, it derailed his up-and-coming rap career. While he was inside he decided to renounce the drugs and gangs that had messed up his life. Now he's using his story to try to help kids not make the same mistakes. And remember "Elbows Up," when thousands of outraged Canadians vowed to stop buying U.S products after Trump's 51st state comments? We check in with Mike Robitaille, a guy who took this boycott to the extreme, to see if he's still going strong almost a year later.

Jesus tells us: “Anyone who does not renounce all of his possessions cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:33) That can sound overwhelming — but what if we started with just one possession?   In this homily, Fr. Meyer challenges us to look at our phones not as harmless tools, but as devices that can easily enslave us if left unchecked. Drawing from the newly canonized St. Carlo Acutis, who used technology wisely while living a life rooted in the Eucharist, we're invited to ask: Do I own my phone, or does it own me?

Shame. Fear. Identity crisis. Our generation—especially young adults and parents—is silently drowning in hidden battles. We long for freedom, yet so often search for it through striving, rituals, or more information. All the while, we navigate deep waters of confusion, facing demonic resistance and relentless cultural pressure. Does God still show up in the chaos? Can Jesus really meet us in our mess—just as He did the woman at the well? And when we finally meet Him — can we still find it in ourselves to wholly and completely surrender to God?In this episode of the Revelations Podcast, host Reagan Kramer welcomes Laurel Bunker: preacher, educator, and spiritual mother to many. With over 30 years of ministry in higher education and nonprofit leadership, Laurel shares her deeply personal journey from performance-based religion to radical intimacy with the Living Word. She opens up about confronting demonic oppression, overcoming self-hatred, and raising daughters in a world flooded with lies.Rooted in the story of the woman at the well, this conversation is a call to lay down shame, reclaim identity, and rise in kingdom authority. If you're weary from the fight, questioning your worth, or longing to hear God's voice again—pause. Take a seat by the well. Encounter Jesus. Surrender to God; drink deeply of His grace and be restored. Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:Gain biblical clarity on how to surrender to God and live fully in “Spirit and Truth,” beyond mere rituals and religion.Understand how shame, demonic influence, and the culture of people-pleasing hinder identity.Learn how a transformational encounter with Jesus breaks lifelong bondage, as told through Laurel Bunker's story.Become Part of Our Mission! I'm giving it all away for Jesus now, you know. We got to redeem the time.”The cultural tension between Jews and Samaritans sets the stage for Jesus' radical act of compassion and revelation. This moment shatters cultural shame and personal guilt, proving Jesus meets people right where they are.[9:01] Transformation and Worship in Spirit and TruthOne conversation with Jesus turns the Samaritan woman into an evangelist to her entire town. Her transformation ripples outward, showing that personal encounters with truth can spark collective revival.According to Laurel, true worship isn't tied to a location or ritual. Instead, we must act our faith through a surrendered, Spirit-filled life.Living in spirit and truth becomes more than theology—it becomes a multiplying force of freedom.[20:25] Challenges and Encouragement for BelieversLegalism, shame, and spiritual burnout are real struggles for modern believers.Laurel shares how her own religious performance led to exhaustion and how encountering Jesus brought lasting freedom.[22:51] Laurel: “I promise you, growing up all the way into my 20s, in my early 20s, I would look at Christ or images of him, or Christ on the cross, and I wouldn't know who- I didn't know who he was.”Wounds from church experiences don't have to write the final chapter of your faith. Healing and purpose remain possible when we surrender to God.Believers are encouraged to live a lifestyle of repentance, humility, and unfiltered honesty before God.[32:28] The Power of the Holy Spirit in Modern TimesThe Holy Spirit isn't a concept confined to the early church—it's a present force guiding and healing today.Laurel shares stories of spiritual breakthrough and reminds believers that revival begins with personal obedience.Following Jesus means actively listening, discerning, and stepping into purpose led by the Spirit. The call is clear: lean into the Holy Spirit's presence and let Him do the work only He can do.[40:49] Addressing Shame and Finding Freedom in ChristShame distorts identity and silences spiritual authority, but it doesn't have the final word. Laurel herself has journeyed through a valley of deep shame — but Christ's love shattered every lie.Freedom came not through hiding, but through confession and grace. Through the relentless pursuit of truth, she was able to surrender to God.Listeners are urged to stop hiding, start healing, and reclaim their place as sons and daughters of the King.[47:20] Reagan: “That's what Jesus does. He unites people. He does so because he's bringing people together through the truth of the gospel.”[48:40] Living a Life of Worship and ServiceBeing able to surrender to God and worship goes beyond music—it's found in daily acts of obedience, faithfulness, and service.Laurel encourages believers to discover how their unique gifts can be expressions of worship.Even small acts of faithfulness carry weight in the Kingdom when done in love and obedience.Listeners are reminded that God honors hearts surrendered in both the big and the quiet, hidden places.[55:16] Understanding the Spiritual JourneyLiving by the Spirit requires intentional daily surrender.Laurel explains how believers must crucify the flesh and embrace the eternal life birthed through the Spirit. The Holy Spirit becomes the source of joy, healing, and clarity in a chaotic world. It's not about trying harder, but walking in step with the Spirit who renews us from the inside out.[1:03:38] Laurel: “I refuse to give human beings and this world more praise and more of my energy and my day than I give the one who gave his life for me.”[1:12:22] An Invitation to Surrender to GodRather than striving to fix what's broken, listeners are encouraged to sit with Jesus—just as they are—and receive the healing that only His love can bring. No weapon formed against you will prosper. No lie of the enemy can stand against the truth of your identity in Christ.Say yes to restoration. Say yes to Jesus. Surrender to God and let your journey of healing begin—right here, right now.About LaurelLaurel Bunker is a seasoned preacher, educator, and spiritual leader with over three decades of ministry experience across higher education, nonprofits, and the local church. Many green card holders mistakenly believe they are no longer liable for US taxes after expiration. Properly relinquishing a green card requires completing Form I-407. If this is news to you (or you've never heard of this form) then you better listen to this week's Ask An Expert. Richard Taylor is joined once again by Virginia La Torre Jeker, a member of the NYS Bar since 1984 and preeminent US tax professional. Together they talk about what green card holders and US citizens need to know before giving up their status. They break down the risks of becoming a “covered expatriate,” how the exit tax works, and why signing the wrong form at the border can have big consequences. Plus, Virginia shares tips on how to plan ahead to avoid major tax issues. One of those is the exit tax: covered expatriates are treated as if they sold all their assets the day they expatriate - even if they haven't. In the case of IRAs and similar retirement accounts, the IRS treats the entire balance as a taxable distribution, potentially triggering a tax bill without the expat actually accessing any of the funds. If you've got a million dollars in an IRA, the IRS is going to treat it like you've just received a million dollars of IRA income - taxable at the highest rate, up to 37%. That hurts.  Find out how to avoid this, right here. We're the Brits in America is affiliated with Plan First Wealth LLC, an SEC registered investment advisor. We are doing a deep dive into the Scriptures with Bob Ekblad as we cover a lot of biblical terrain regarding what are called "powers and principalities." The path leads us to some key scriptures where Paul describes idolatry as serving the creature instead of the Creator and Jesus saying we cannot serve two masters. As we discern how we are to respond to powers and principalities, the first step for all of us must be to renounce the idolatry of nationalism. Unless we break with our brand of nationalism and are born from above, we will not see the kingdom of God, but will only see our particular nationalistic ideas of what kingdom looks like. Let's explore!
