Shame. Fear. Identity crisis. Our generation—especially young adults and parents—is silently drowning in hidden battles. We long for freedom, yet so often search for it through striving, rituals, or more information. All the while, we navigate deep waters of confusion, facing demonic resistance and relentless cultural pressure. Does God still show up in the chaos? Can Jesus really meet us in our mess—just as He did the woman at the well? And when we finally meet Him — can we still find it in ourselves to wholly and completely surrender to God?In this episode of the Revelations Podcast, host Reagan Kramer welcomes Laurel Bunker: preacher, educator, and spiritual mother to many. With over 30 years of ministry in higher education and nonprofit leadership, Laurel shares her deeply personal journey from performance-based religion to radical intimacy with the Living Word. She opens up about confronting demonic oppression, overcoming self-hatred, and raising daughters in a world flooded with lies.Rooted in the story of the woman at the well, this conversation is a call to lay down shame, reclaim identity, and rise in kingdom authority. If you're weary from the fight, questioning your worth, or longing to hear God's voice again—pause. Take a seat by the well. Encounter Jesus. Surrender to God; drink deeply of His grace and be restored. Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:Gain biblical clarity on how to surrender to God and live fully in “Spirit and Truth,” beyond mere rituals and religion.Understand how shame, demonic influence, and the culture of people-pleasing hinder identity.Learn how a transformational encounter with Jesus breaks lifelong bondage, as told through Laurel Bunker's story.Become Part of Our Mission! I'm giving it all away for Jesus now, you know. We got to redeem the time.”The cultural tension between Jews and Samaritans sets the stage for Jesus' radical act of compassion and revelation. This moment shatters cultural shame and personal guilt, proving Jesus meets people right where they are.[9:01] Transformation and Worship in Spirit and TruthOne conversation with Jesus turns the Samaritan woman into an evangelist to her entire town. Her transformation ripples outward, showing that personal encounters with truth can spark collective revival.According to Laurel, true worship isn't tied to a location or ritual. Instead, we must act our faith through a surrendered, Spirit-filled life.Living in spirit and truth becomes more than theology—it becomes a multiplying force of freedom.[20:25] Challenges and Encouragement for BelieversLegalism, shame, and spiritual burnout are real struggles for modern believers.Laurel shares how her own religious performance led to exhaustion and how encountering Jesus brought lasting freedom.[22:51] Laurel: “I promise you, growing up all the way into my 20s, in my early 20s, I would look at Christ or images of him, or Christ on the cross, and I wouldn't know who- I didn't know who he was.”Wounds from church experiences don't have to write the final chapter of your faith. Healing and purpose remain possible when we surrender to God.Believers are encouraged to live a lifestyle of repentance, humility, and unfiltered honesty before God.[32:28] The Power of the Holy Spirit in Modern TimesThe Holy Spirit isn't a concept confined to the early church—it's a present force guiding and healing today.Laurel shares stories of spiritual breakthrough and reminds believers that revival begins with personal obedience.Following Jesus means actively listening, discerning, and stepping into purpose led by the Spirit. The call is clear: lean into the Holy Spirit's presence and let Him do the work only He can do.[40:49] Addressing Shame and Finding Freedom in ChristShame distorts identity and silences spiritual authority, but it doesn't have the final word. Laurel herself has journeyed through a valley of deep shame — but Christ's love shattered every lie.Freedom came not through hiding, but through confession and grace. Through the relentless pursuit of truth, she was able to surrender to God.Listeners are urged to stop hiding, start healing, and reclaim their place as sons and daughters of the King.[47:20] Reagan: “That's what Jesus does. He unites people. He does so because he's bringing people together through the truth of the gospel.”[48:40] Living a Life of Worship and ServiceBeing able to surrender to God and worship goes beyond music—it's found in daily acts of obedience, faithfulness, and service.Laurel encourages believers to discover how their unique gifts can be expressions of worship.Even small acts of faithfulness carry weight in the Kingdom when done in love and obedience.Listeners are reminded that God honors hearts surrendered in both the big and the quiet, hidden places.[55:16] Understanding the Spiritual JourneyLiving by the Spirit requires intentional daily surrender.Laurel explains how believers must crucify the flesh and embrace the eternal life birthed through the Spirit. The Holy Spirit becomes the source of joy, healing, and clarity in a chaotic world. It's not about trying harder, but walking in step with the Spirit who renews us from the inside out.[1:03:38] Laurel: “I refuse to give human beings and this world more praise and more of my energy and my day than I give the one who gave his life for me.”[1:12:22] An Invitation to Surrender to GodRather than striving to fix what's broken, listeners are encouraged to sit with Jesus—just as they are—and receive the healing that only His love can bring. No weapon formed against you will prosper. No lie of the enemy can stand against the truth of your identity in Christ.Say yes to restoration. Say yes to Jesus. Surrender to God and let your journey of healing begin—right here, right now.About LaurelLaurel Bunker is a seasoned preacher, educator, and spiritual leader with over three decades of ministry experience across higher education, nonprofits, and the local church. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a spiritual practice our church disciples our members in?2. Why do we believe that God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient? Are they all based on specific Scripture? Are they all necessary beliefs of God? And (finally) is it possible that God is not one of them?Do you have a question you've been wanting answered? Many green card holders mistakenly believe they are no longer liable for US taxes after expiration. Properly relinquishing a green card requires completing Form I-407. If this is news to you (or you've never heard of this form) then you better listen to this week's Ask An Expert. Richard Taylor is joined once again by Virginia La Torre Jeker, a member of the NYS Bar since 1984 and preeminent US tax professional. Together they talk about what green card holders and US citizens need to know before giving up their status. They break down the risks of becoming a “covered expatriate,” how the exit tax works, and why signing the wrong form at the border can have big consequences. Plus, Virginia shares tips on how to plan ahead to avoid major tax issues. One of those is the exit tax: covered expatriates are treated as if they sold all their assets the day they expatriate - even if they haven't. In the case of IRAs and similar retirement accounts, the IRS treats the entire balance as a taxable distribution, potentially triggering a tax bill without the expat actually accessing any of the funds. If you've got a million dollars in an IRA, the IRS is going to treat it like you've just received a million dollars of IRA income - taxable at the highest rate, up to 37%. That hurts. Find out how to avoid this, right here. We're the Brits in America is affiliated with Plan First Wealth LLC, an SEC registered investment advisor. We are doing a deep dive into the Scriptures with Bob Ekblad as we cover a lot of biblical terrain regarding what are called "powers and principalities." The path leads us to some key scriptures where Paul describes idolatry as serving the creature instead of the Creator and Jesus saying we cannot serve two masters. As we discern how we are to respond to powers and principalities, the first step for all of us must be to renounce the idolatry of nationalism. Unless we break with our brand of nationalism and are born from above, we will not see the kingdom of God, but will only see our particular nationalistic ideas of what kingdom looks like. Let's explore!

God is lofty, unapproachable and infinite. He is indescribable- He cannot be described. Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of God, who is all-powerful to save us. || 1 || CHHANT: Save me, any way You can; O Lord God, I am Yours. My demerits are uncountable; how many of them should I count? The sins and crimes I committed are countless; day by day, I continually make mistakes. I am intoxicated by emotional attachment to Maya, the treacherous one; by Your Grace alone can I be saved. Secretly, I commit hideous sins of corruption, even though God is the nearest of the near. Prays Nanak, shower me with Your Mercy, Lord, and lift me up, out of the whirlpool of the terrifying world-ocean. || 1 || SHALOK: Countless are His virtues; they cannot be enumerated. God's Name is lofty and exalted. This is Nanak's humble prayer, to bless the homeless with a home. || 2 || CHHANT: There is no other place at all - where else should I go? Twenty-four hours a day, with my palms pressed together, I meditate on God. Meditating forever on my God, I receive the fruits of my mind's desires. Renouncing pride, attachment, corruption and duality, I lovingly center my attention on the One Lord. Dedicate your mind and body to God; eradicate all your self-conceit. Prays Nanak, shower me with Your mercy, Lord, that I may be absorbed in Your True Name. || 2 || SHALOK: O mind, meditate on the One, who holds everything in His hands. Gather the wealth of the Lord's Name; O Nanak, it shall always be with You. || 3 || CHHANT: God is our only True Friend; there is not any other. In the places and interspaces, in the water and on the land, He Himself is pervading everywhere. He is totally permeating the water, the land and the sky; God is the Great Giver, the Lord and Master of all. The Lord of the world, the Lord of the universe has no limit; His Glorious Virtues are unlimited- how can I count them? I have hurried to the Sanctuary of the Lord Master, the Bringer of peace; without Him, there is no other at all. Prays Nanak, that being, unto whom the Lord shows mercy - he alone obtains the Naam. || 3 || SHALOK: Whatever I wish for, that I receive. Meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Nanak has found total peace. || 4 || CHHANT: My mind is now emancipated; I have joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. As Gurmukh, I chant the Naam, and my light has merged into the Light. Remembering the Lord's Name in meditation, my sins have been erased; the fire has been extinguished, and I am satisfied. He has taken me by the arm, and blessed me with His kind mercy; He has accepted me His own. The Lord has hugged me in His embrace, and merged me with Himself; the pains of birth and death have been burnt away. Prays Nanak, He has blessed me with His kind mercy; in an instant, He unites me with Himself. || 4 || 2 ||

This afternoon three healthcare bodies signed a Memorandum of Understanding renouncing the practice of conversion therapy in Ireland. To discuss this Paul D'Alton, Associate Professor at the School of Psychology, at University College Dublin.
The Expedition of Tabuk demonstrated to Arabs the strength of the Muslims. Over the next year, the various tribes responded by sending the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) delegations to accept Islam and pledge their allegiance. Our FAITH forms a “belief system” and…….. everything flows out of our belief system. In life, your belief system responds to the faith that's been poured in your spirit by the Holy Spirit and therefore your spirit is at work convincing your soul that God is able to do the impossible!!!! Your spirit is easy to receive revelation and truth, but your soul wants to try to rationalize it, make sense of it, and weigh out the possibilities. So, your spirit is trying to convince your soul not to look at your circumstances but look at your GOD! THE DYNAMICS OF THE BELIEF-EXPECTATION CYCLE Beliefs are formed out of experiences These “beliefs” lead to expectation that similar things will happen to us. These “expectations” of life shape our behavior, and affect our behavior of other people These “behaviors” lead to repeated experiences that continue to confirm and reinforce our “beliefs”. If our experiences are negative they can lead to “Ungodly Beliefs” unrealistic expectations of life, negative behavior. When Ungodly Beliefs are replaced with Godly Beliefs, the same process leads to Godly expectation of life and Godly behavior. The cycle then becomes a cycle of life Scriptures on sins of the father Exodus 20:4-5 SINS OF THE FATHERS & the CROSS The same sins coming down the family line often cause the same kind of HURTS in each generation Out of these sins that cause HURT, “Ungodly Beliefs” are often formed Satan pressures people to commit these generational sins in order to oppress both us and our future generations. Bad News is our ancestors have sinned and we have sinned! But here's the Good News! We have a Redeemer! God has provided a way of FREEDOM from all the effects of ancestors sins and our own sin. To receive this freedom, we have to receive by FAITH, what Jesus did for us on the Cross! Here is a list of a few Common Sins & Curses that we can inherit Abandonment Abuse Disease/Illness Fears of all kinds Sexual Impurity Confess Your Sins: Here are some scriptures on confessing! 1 John 1:9-10, Psalm 32:5, Psalm 38:18, Proverbs 28:13, Romans 10:10, Matthew 3:6, Romans 10:9, Psalm 32:3, Hebrews 10:23 THE ANSWER TO SIN IS JESUS! Out of these sins it causes hurt, then ungodly beliefs are often formed.

In our quest for knowledge and control over our futures, it's tempting to turn to horoscopes, palm reading, astrology, and other forms of divination. But these are serious sins against God and it shows God you don't trust Him.How can we place our trust in divine providence rather than the false promises of divination? Share your thoughts in the comments!—Morning Offering with Fr. Kirby, March 6, 2024—————————Every morning, join Father Jeffrey Kirby as he begins the day with prayer and reflection. In a few short minutes, Father Kirby guides you in prayer, shares a brief reflection grounding your day in the Church's rhythm of feast days and liturgy, and provides you with the encouragement necessary to go forward with peace and strength. Let us do as the saints urge and begin our days in prayer together so as a community of believers we may join the Psalmist in saying, “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” (Psalm 5:3-4)

TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, they kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen.
