It's last place baseball designed to showcase players for a chance to make the 2026 Baltimore Orioles roster. We all know this despite how awful it looks on the field. Luke Jones and Nestor discuss the Mike Elias "grand plan" en route to getting young players meaningful time against MLB competition to figure out what can be salvaged from a season of disaster for the franchise. The post Luke Jones and Nestor discuss Orioles last place summer realities as Bradish return looms first appeared on Baltimore Positive WNST.
Ed and Rob took some time from Tuesday's BBMS to discuss the future of the O's young core? Mike Elias said it's time guys like Gunnar, Adley, and Westburg take leadership roles. Is the time now?

Ed and Rob took some time from Monday's BBMS to share their reactions to the not-so-great news about Grayson Rodriguez. Mike Elias said last Friday that surgery is very much on the table for G-Rod, so does that mean 2026 is out of the question as well?
Ed and Rob took some time from Monday's BBMS to talk Birds with Mike Bordick. Mike Elias told the fanbase on Friday that he's sorry for the way things turned out for the 2025 Orioles, but did he really owe anyone an apology?
Ed and Rob took some time from Monday's BBMS to hear Mike Elias' apology to the fanbase for the way the Orioles season fell apart. It's nice he's taking responsibility but did he really have to?

No one should be shocked by the deadline deals of Mike Elias but fans of the Baltimore Orioles are certainly within reason wondering what the grand plan looks like to compete in 2026. Luke Jones and Nestor discuss the large sell off of nine MLB players at trade deadline in exchange for 16 prospects. It's going to be a long, last-place offseason in Birdland to rebuild the pitching.

Today's word of the day is ‘nerves' as in nervous as in collapse as in performance as in sweat. What am I talking about? Well, this weekend was full of nerves. Game 7s, PGA Championship final round. And we heard from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who could be the MVP, go out and be his best self and then after the game talked about how nervous he was. Nikola Jokic on the other hand was honest about his thoughts about this current Nuggets team. (16:30) The Florida Panthers smoked the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7. Woof. The Maple Leafs still haven't won a title since 1967! (20:40) Brandon Hyde was fired by the Baltimore Orioles. It came just 2 weeks after his GM, Mike Elias, gave him the kiss of death… a vote of confidence. (34:10) Review: Elton John - Never Too Late. (36:20) The Phillies are in some trouble. Jose Alvarado has been suspended for 80 games for a weight-loss drug. No postseason for him. (47:00) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
