This episode a great deep dive into asset management with arguably the premier asset management system on the market today. I've been working with Cartegraph since 2010 and have been very impressed with their software and vision for constant improvement. Join me as I welcome Jon Kremer, self proclaimed Product CEO for the Cartegraph Asset Management System at OpenGov, and we talk about how clients are using Cartegraph today, how it has evolved over the decades, and where it is going in the future. Enjoy!https://opengov.com/products/asset-management/AI Generated Episode Description:Every public works professional eventually confronts the challenge of asset management. How do you track thousands of infrastructure elements, maintain them efficiently, and plan for their eventual replacement? It's a question that combines technology, human behavior, and financial planning in ways that can make or break a department's effectiveness.John Kramer, who leads product management for OpenGov's Enterprise Asset Management system, formerly known as, takes us through the fascinating evolution of asset management systems. From his early days implementing solutions for municipalities across America to his current role designing the future of these platforms, Kramer shares insights that apply to organizations of every size. The conversation explores how asset management has transformed from paper-based workflows to cloud systems accessible from smartphones. What's remarkable is how the fundamentals remain consistent—you're still tracking the same basic information about signs, water mains, and park equipment—while the methods for collecting and using that data have revolutionized daily operations. As Kramer explains, success depends on a "three-legged stool" of products, people, and processes working together. We dive into implementation strategies that work, discussing how starting with smaller, focused rollouts often proves more effective than attempting organization-wide adoption. The most successful departments find champions who naturally gravitate to the technology and then leverage their enthusiasm to spread adoption organically. The conversation then turns to exciting future developments: connected systems that integrate asset data with financial planning, Internet of Things sensors providing real-time monitoring, and artificial intelligence applications that can identify assets from photographs and optimize work scheduling.Whether you're considering your first asset management implementation or looking to improve an existing system, this episode offers practical wisdom from decades of experience across hundreds of municipalities. The Orioles were leaning heavily on Charlie Morton this season and the results have been a disaster so far. Dean Kremer looked sharp in his most recent outing, but it's taken a while for him to get rolling. Bob, Vinny and Nolan grade the performance of both starters.
Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner get you set for this weekends MLB betting. We kick things off with the Friday games and offer up best bets. On the May 2 episode of RJ Bell's Dream Preview MLB Podcast, hosts Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner deliver sharp, stats-backed insights across the full Friday MLB slate. With Griffin riding a six-podcast win streak and Munaf at a 7–3 record on the season, both bring analytical edge to betting lines, pitching matchups, and team trends. They begin with Nationals vs. Reds, with Griffin skeptical of Cincinnati's high price (-161) and backing underdog Mitchell Parker (+146) despite his weak fielding. Munaf notes the Nationals have won four of his five starts. Next is Padres at Pirates. Cease hasn't pitched six innings since early April, and Keller's inconsistency leads both hosts to favor the Pirates at +142. Diamondbacks vs. Phillies features Jesus Luzardo (1.73 ERA) facing Merrill Kelly. Due to Arizona's bullpen injuries and Philly's undervalued pitching, Griffin names Phillies -142 his best bet. In Royals vs. Orioles, Wacha faces off against Kremer, who's allowed 5 ER in his last two starts. Still, doubts about Kansas City's offense tip the scale toward Baltimore. Yankees (-235) host the Rays with Max Fried on the mound. Fried boasts a career 0.42 ERA vs. Tampa. The hosts avoid fading him. Guardians visit the Blue Jays, where Chris Bassitt has allowed only 1 ER in 11 home innings. Logan Allen struggled defensively last game. Munaf leans Jays in the first five. Twins vs. Red Sox offers value on Boston at -103. Griffin questions Joe Ryan's volatility and trusts Bello's recent support. For A's-Marlins, the A's are road favorites behind debuting Gunnar Hoglund. Griffin calls this mispriced, siding with Miami (+123). Dodgers and Yamamoto face Braves, with Yamamoto holding a 1.06 ERA. Despite a steep -172 price, Munaf backs L.A., while Griffin questions Braves' rare underdog status. In Astros vs. White Sox, Framber Valdez faces Jonathan Cannon. Given inconsistent Astros bats and Cannon's walk rate, Munaf avoids the -235 price. Griffin leans under. Mariners at Rangers features Brian Wu vs. Jack Leiter. With Texas 15-2 to the under at home, Munaf's best bet is under 8.5. Griffin leans Rangers as a home dog. Cubs vs. Brewers sees Ben Brown against Quinn Priester. Despite Brown's strikeout potential, Griffin and Munaf both back the Brewers at plus money due to home-field motivation. For Mets vs. Cardinals, Clay Holmes faces Sonny Gray, who has dominated at home. Munaf backs the Cardinals citing Gray's form. In Tigers vs. Angels, Skubal dominates and Trout's IL status hurts L.A. Munaf recommends Tigers via moneyline or run line. Lastly, Giants host Rockies with Robbie Ray on the mound. Ray's teams are 6-0 in his starts, but Griffin finds -280 too steep and suggests a Rockies run line. Munaf agrees on targeting Giants team total. Griffin's best bet: Phillies -142. Munaf's: Mariners vs. Rangers under 8.5. The show closes encouraging listeners to shop lines, list pitchers, and monitor late moves, all key in chasing sharp MLB edges. Happy Monday! Today, we're talking about how to combat teacher overwhelm. In this episode, Lisa is joined by Jayme (from the school pilot) and Anna (a member of the Organize 365 team) to talk all about why teachers are feeling so stressed and what can be done to help support educators. Support for Teachers Some of the resources we found address ways to support teachers who feel overwhelmed by all of the demands of the education field. Some of the ways to support teachers include reducing or streamlining the number of administrative tasks teachers are burdened with, as well as helping teachers get organized. These are all things that we offer inside the The Teacher Workbox system and that will be addressed in Teacher Planning Day this summer. At Organize 365, we built the Teacher Workbox as a means to support teachers in the administrative side of their job. Teachers receive training in their preparation program on lesson planning, classroom management, and lesson design. We step in to help provide teachers with an organizational system to manage their time and streamline as many tasks as possible. A Sense of Community Peer support helps ease feelings of teacher overwhelm, and we love that we can offer the supportive community of educators inside the Organize 365 Community App. This is where teachers have the opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another. Teacher Camp is a live opportunity for teachers and other educators to get to know one another and work in collaboration as we set up our Teacher Workboxes for the coming school year. How Much Time Are You Wasting? At the end of the episode, both Jayme and Anna confess to having made their own Sunday Basket before purchasing the actual Sunday Basket from Organize 365. They share how much time and money was wasted trying to create a perfect system, when the supplies they really needed were already available through Organize 365. They also reveal how no system they could create on their own was able to support them in the ways they needed because the do-it-yourself system did not come with a course, online community, or Sunday Basket Club that are needed to truly understand how the system works. If you are thinking of going this route, how much time and money are you willing to waste? Dr. Kevin Kremer reveals his powerful "Three C's" framework—Customer, Culture, and Company—that drives success in healthcare practices. As the visionary behind Kremer Dental Care, New Smile Now, and the Kremer Leadership Institute, and author of "Quantum Accountability," Dr. Kremer shares proven strategies that have turned struggling practices into thriving businesses. The customer experience hinges on seemingly small but crucial details – like the 10-foot rule of acknowledgment, proper handoffs between team members, and ensuring patients are never left unattended during their visit. These service elements create the foundation for practice loyalty and growth.Building a thriving culture means creating an environment where change is embraced rather than feared. Dr. Kremer details his systematic approach to team management through weekly check-ins between leads and team members, establishing regular feedback loops that prevent burnout and enhance performance. This democratic approach ensures team members feel heard while maintaining clear direction.Perhaps most revealing is Dr. Kremer's discussion of financial health through comprehensive KPI tracking. He shares the remarkable story of a burned-out dentist making under $70,000 despite working four days weekly, whose income tripled after implementing proper business systems while simultaneously improving patient care.Beyond practice management, Dr. Kremer introduces the concept of "mental obesity" – how our minds are becoming overwhelmed by digital stimulation just as our bodies struggle with processed foods. The constant dopamine hits from smartphones and social media create addiction patterns that directly impact our productivity and happiness. His practical approach to implementing technology "guardrails" offers a path to reclaiming mental wellness.Ready to transform your practice through accountability and strategic implementation? In this jam-packed episode Jeremy and George dive into multiple hot button topics that are still unfolding. Ace journalist Chris Sharpe is on the ground in the UK as military airspaces continue to be penetrated nightly by mystery objects described as “drones.” But if they are mere drones, who is flying them, what are they doing, and why do the sophisticated sensors and weapons of both the UK and US powerless to stop them, track them, or shoot them down? Also joining the podcast, underwater archeologist Rory Kremer describes how he and his team were able to record astonishing video of a UFO that became a USO when it descended from the sky and slowly slipped into the Pacific Ocean as a video camera recorded the performance. A brief clip of this encounter is featured in the Netflix series Investigation Alien. In this WEAPONIZED episode, the world will get a much longer look at the transmedium object and other unknowns seen by Kremer and crew out in “TIC TAC UFO” territory. And if anyone is still confused by the odd circumstances surrounding the recent congressional hearing into UAP - WEAPONIZED feels your pain. What if anything did we learn from that event? SERIES 3 EPISODE 13: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Did you HEAR Trump yesterday? Did you HEAR HIM TALK? He's in Howell, Michigan, where it might as well be Alabama in the year 1855, where they marched chanting “We Love Hitler, We Love Trump” a MONTH ago, and he came out at the County Sheriff's Office, and behind him with the cops as the props and if he had had ten times the energy and ten times the focus you would have said: what's wrong with Trump? Is he DYING or something? I mean I don't THINK he's dying, I think there are intermediate stages between having every single thing in a presidential campaign turn against you in a matter of two weeks and actually dying, but look if this mumble thing continues, at this rate they're going to have start putting live captions over him. Trump responded to the overture from the RFK Junior camp about dropping out if Trump would give him a role in his cabinet. “I didn't know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I'd be open to it.” RFK's running mate Nicole Shanahan appears to be doing the bargaining. Even she has figured it out: "We run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency, as we draw votes from Trump. We draw, somehow, more votes from Trump. Or we walk away, right now, and join forces with Donald Trump…” Translation: bribe us and we'll go away. Looks like what they want is Secretary of Health and Human Services. THE SELF-DEFENESTRATION OF THE POLITICAL MEDIA: The Times really did it yesterday, with no sense of irony, no meta self-reflection: “Kamala Harris's tan suit was a surprising choice, our fashion critic writes.” The Post, meantime, did a DNC factcheck and got half a dozen things wrong: the Post insisted that there was no evidence that Trump ever sent love letters to dictators with Kessler writing “we do not know what Trump wrote to Kim Jong Un,” Media Matters went appropriately nuts. Of course we know. Trump showed them to… Bob Woodward of the Post. The factcheck now has its own factcheck. I recommend to you and will quote extensively from a masterpiece on this topic in The New Republic. Meredith Shiner writes: "after years of watching Morning Joe and searching for their birthdays in the Politico Playbook, they do not see their role as speaking to us, but rather speaking to themselves." Ex-effing-actly. B-Block (26:47) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Jesse Watters has rebirthed birtherism. He's sending "Johnny" to Hawaii to get the real story about Barack Obama's birth certificate because Harris. Amy Kremer, a GOP Committeewoman from Georgia, is the sucker born every minute. A liberal trolls the idiot Jack Posobiec by saying she'll have an abortion and a vasectomy onstage at the DNC and Kremer believes her. And Stephen L. Miller - the "other" Stephen Miller - uses the c-word about Mallory McMorrow with no self-awareness that it's used about him. C-Block (37:10) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: It was a lovely day in Fun City yesterday so I was out all day and I walked right past it: the bar out of which George Steinbrenner stepped one night in 1981 after I had spent the day trying to find...
