The Hollow9ine Network returns with a special and experimental new program...For the past two years, Podcaster and Content Creator Dave "The Klone" Maresca has been missing in action - in a deep and complicated recovery from a traumatic life experience......after spending nearly 21 months navigating CPTSD and rebuilding his life in the aftermath of an abusive relationship - one that has left him in social and financial ruin and with a future of uncertainty, marred by constant anxiety and depression, his healing process has led to the creation of this living journal, as a means of chronicling his experiences......this program is created in hopes that the life lessons Dave is discovering can be a beacon to those who find themselves similarly lost at sea, in search of a light in the darkness...in search of the hope he, himself, has been searching for...Warning: This program contains true-life recollections of an actual person, that may involve content that some listeners may find disturbing or triggering. The government reported today that 147,000 more people were on payrolls in June compared to May — a stronger outcome than initially forecasted. This data comes despite all the tariff-related uncertainty that many business execs have been speaking about lately. We'll discuss. Plus, AI scraping could fundamentally break the business model of the internet, and an oasis of merch and pop-up stores is appearing ahead of the Oasis reunion tour kick-off.

You already know what to eat at that Fourth of July barbecue—but do you know how to actually rest without guilt? This quick-hitting episode flips the script on holiday "prep" by focusing on the mindset shifts that matter more than your macros. In this episode we dive into:• Why capacity doesn't equal calendar availability (and how to audit your weekend plans)• The difference between productivity and actually recharging your nervous system• How unstructured time builds internal safety (even when it feels uncomfortable)• Why being "boring" is actually an act of bravery for high achieversThe Real Challenge Behind Holiday Weekends• You can Google every nutrition strategy, but you can't search your way out of the pressure to always be "on"• The hidden pattern keeping clients stuck: filling quiet time with mindless scrolling instead of true rest• Why knowing what to eat isn't enough—it's about building the identity of someone who deserves to slow down• The shift from "I have to be productive" to "rest is productive"Permission to Actually Take a Break• Capacity vs. calendar availability: just because you're free doesn't mean you have bandwidth• How to audit your weekend plans by asking "What do I actually want to do?"• The communication skills that give you autonomy (even for busy moms)• Why consistency isn't just about tracking—it's about checking in with yourself on overcommitmentRedefining What Rest Really Looks Like• The inventory question that changes everything: "What does rest actually look like to me?"• How nervous system regulation partners with fat loss (and why it won't show up in MyFitnessPal)• The practice of doing nothing and observing the uncomfortable thoughts that arise• Why unstructured time feels unsafe—and how a holiday weekend becomes your rehearsal• Permission to be boring without justification (because laziness isn't a bad word)This conversation reminds us that you don't have to earn rest as a reward—it's literally required for you to be the best version of yourself. Whether you're someone who fills every free moment with tasks or someone who feels guilty about slowing down, this episode offers the mindset permission to let your inner child lead the show this weekend.Looking for nutrition strategies for holiday events and the summer season? Today on the Jimmy Barrett Show:Catching up on the news from the weekend
The weekend was glorious… until the Mariners went and put us in a bad mood on Sunday and now it's hanging over us because they haven't played since then. The M's went 6-4 on the road trip, which we would have been perfectly happy with heading into the long trip, but after sweeping the Padres and winning the series in Chicago, we had higher hopes for the team in Houston. :30- The College Football Playoff is making some adjustment, but not without Greg Sankey and the SEC weighing in. The SEC wants 4 teams guaranteed in the playoffs, but isn't this playoff format supposed to avoid this situation? :45- Coach Bucky is here! - It's the unofficial quarter poll for the MLB season- does this Mariners team look like a first-place team to Coach Bucky? - Seahawks OTA's start today - Memorial Day weekend fun at Coach Bucky's house.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is highlighting two amazing things to happen for Buffalo sports over the Memorial holiday weekend both from team and individual perspectives--the Buffalo Bandits winning their third straight NLL championship and Tage Thompson playing hero for the United States in the World's Championship.Excitement was in the air last Saturday in Buffalo and especially at the Key Bank Center and the Bandits certainly didn't disappoint. They turned a close game into a second half route and extended party in defeating Saskatchewan, 15-6 to win a historic third consecutive NLL title and seventh in the history of the franchise. Patrick goes over several personal feelings on the accomplishment, how happy he is for the true Bandits fans, how it's sad they're not covered with the consistency they deserve and a Buffalo Bills comparison to what Saturday's championship win felt like.Meanwhile, Thompson scored in overtime on Sunday to give the United States a dramatic 1-0 win over Switzerland in the gold medal game at the World's Championships in Sweden and give the United States their first gold medal in 92 years. Patrick talks about Tage getting all the love from the hockey world he richly deserves, which of course leads to a bashing of the Sabres and that we don't get see Tage shine in games that actually are meaningful more often. Also, a pair of clips are played from last week's show and discussed. One of them is how the humanization of Sean McDermott in recent years has Patrick emotionally invested in wanting to see McDermott win a Super Bowl, and also a clip of Keon Coleman/Dalton Kincaid being discussed as the biggest keys to a historically good Bills offense remaining sustainable in 2025. That and more.Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it's a great place to drink and have a great time.Special thanks to local Buffalo band, Orange Zest for allowing us to use their awesome single, “Old Friends” as the new official intro music for Talking Buffalo. Check out Orange Zest and be sure to support not only them, but local music!♦♦♦♦♦Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's SubstackTwitter: @PatrickMoranTBBlue Sky: @PatrickMoranTB.bsky.socialInstagram: @PatrickMoranTBFacebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast
