It is important to talk to your teens about their feelings, thoughts, and opinions. Teenagers are a tricky bunch. They want independence and to be treated as adults, but they also need guidance and boundaries. Talking with teenagers provides an opportunity for them to open up without feeling judged or embarrassed. How you communicate with your children during these conversations can make a big difference in how they feel after the conversation. Talking respectfully and providing guidance will help them be more grounded and confident young adults.
