Naja, do the math. Apropos Lord of the Lost: Hat Schmitt in dieser Folge eigentlich schon was gesagt? In preparation for Lightyear, Arun and Patricia decide to bring PixMinis back where they look back on a Pixar short every day until July 12. In this episode, they look back on the 2012 Pixar short Partysaurus Rex, which is the third and final Toy Story Toons short. Rex is called a "party pooper" when he isn't seen as much fun as the other toys. When Bonnie takes Rex in the tub for her bath playing with the other bathroom toys, Rex has a lot of fun playing with them and becomes a rule breaker by filling up the bathtub with water and bubbles while Bonnie and her mom leave. He's praised by the toys as a party animal and Rex deems himself with the nickname "Partysaurus Rex". As the last short of the Toy Story Toons, does it end on a high note or is it the worse of the bunch? Listen and find out. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/old-school-lane/support

Is Jeff Probst the moral standard? “What I'm going to say sounds insane.” - Courtney Farrell “You got to be nicer to 25 year olds.” - Frank Farrell Courtney would like to promote the show The Duchess on Netflix. Kate set Betsy up with a challenge. They've been deeming too many books as "classics". What book could I produce that would engender more of a debate? Well, after all these episodes (82!) Betsy thinks she's figured out Kate's least loved genre. It involves childlike art. It involves kids who aren't entirely saintly. Really, it was just a matter of time before they got to this one. They've not done a David Shannon book before. Ultimately they determine that the fault at work here is not that of David, but the inattentive parents. Happily, Kate has provided the "Partysaurus Rex" video link. It is a delight: https://vimeo.com/51194871 And the Etch a Sketch is from 1960, if that helps date the kid in the book. Yes, Betsy. It was Hiawatha and the Peacemaker. For the full Show Notes please visit: http://blogs.slj.com/afuse8production/2019/04/08/fuse-8-n-kate-no-david-by-david-shannon/
