News: Earlier this week was St. Patrick's Day and Disneyland had limited offerings. The only things at the resort were a version of the Gray Stuff – called The Green Stuff at Red Rose Tavern, and a St. Paddy's Day t-shirt featuring Kermit the Frog. Of course, the Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra was celebrating at his tiny home in Adventureland. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Guests staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will delight in the updates happening. New entry gates are being installed to go along with the new entry gates at the Monorail station in Downtown Disney, and the entrances to Disney California Adventure and Disneyland. Two of the full-service restaurants, Storytellers Café and Napa Rose, are undergoing refurbishments, a new concierge lounge, and updated to rooms. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Over at Carthay Circle restaurant, there are costumes on display from the Snow White live action feature. The costumes are worn by Snow White, played by Rachel Zegler, and the Evil Queen, played by Gal Gadot. The original, animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered at the original Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles on December 21, 1937. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ https://mickeyblog.com/2025/03/17/live-action-snow-white-costumes-are-now-on-display-at-disneyland-resort/ This week, the Easter Foodie Guide was posted by Disney. This year, you can book a spot at Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Springtime! at the Disneyland Hotel, or Storytellers Cafe Easter Buffet at the Grand Californian. Another Easter item is a Thumper Spring popcorn bucket. – https://disneyparksblog.com/disney-experiences/disney-eats-easter-foodie-guide-2025/ An Easter tradition is not returning this year. The coveted chocolate Easter eggs at Candy Palace are not going to be on the menu. This is a result of cost-cutting measures at the candy kitchens. This Friday, October 25th, the Disneyland Railroad will carry guests around the park on a grand circle tour once again. The track and ballast, the rocky part under the track, was replaced from Toontown Depot to Tomorrowland Station. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2024/10/20/reopening-date-revealed-for-disneyland-railroad-refurbishment/ Another location is returning on Friday. Magic Key holder previews began and we got our first glimpse into what the Disneyland version of the attraction is like. Key holders needed to join a virtual queue to ride, but those that were successful were able to be among the first in the attraction. The Disneyland version is much better paced than the Magic Kingdom version, with a lot of animatronics and almost no slowdown of the story or show scenes. Visit the link in our show notes if you want to see the first ridethrough. – https://www.micechat.com/262305-breaking-news-splash-mountain-to-become-princess-and-the-frog-themed/ We have an explanation for the holidays creeping in on the Halloween festivities at Disneyland. In the last couple of weeks, snow has been appearing on Sleeping Beauty Castle, way before the end of Halloween. We found out why this week. Performances for the upcoming holiday specials were filmed this week, which needed the decorations. John Legend was in the park on Friday to record his segment. – https://www.micechat.com/400493-disneyland-news-tiana-debut-halloween-early-holiday-and-more/ There is another fun photo option available for guests back in Star Wars Galaxys Edge. This deal goes on sale October 22nd. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/50-kids-disneyland-ticket-savings-on-hotel-stays/ Some good news for those of you who didn't want Avatar in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area. Micechat reports that locations for the new Coco and Avatar projects have been in flux. After studying the crowd flow on Pixar Pier, there may not be enough room for an extended queue where the planned Coco attraction would be located. It was suggested to move the Coco attraction to Hollywood Land, which would allow for Monsters, Inc. to be saved as Coco would move into the Hollywood and Dine location. This leaves the Avatar project without a home for now. – https://www.micechat.com/399618-disneyland-update-project-switch-a-roo-construction-price-hikes-too/ The Jungle Cruise has returned from it's two week refurbishment. We had hoped that the tiger's stone surroundings would have returned, but they have not.
